Thursday morning feel good stories
A 63-year-old business owner in Winston-Salem, North Carolina got into a gun fight with 22-year-old Deshaun Rashaud Fisher McCullum who was robbing the business. The owner took a non-life threatening round to the shoulder, but Deshaun Rashaud Fisher McCullum was DOT (dead over there) about 300 yards from the scene of his crime. Police are still looking for his accomplice so they can pin Deshaun Rashaud Fisher McCullum’s death on someone.
A burglary suspect in Dallas, Texas, despite being shot with a Taser, kept charging at officers with a knife until the officers decided to use bullets instead. Her condition is unknown at this time. Did I mention that she reported her own crime to 911? Well, she did.
AW1Ed sends us a link from Solomon, Maryland where Tabais L. Robinson, 24 and Andre T. Gross, 23 were cruising around after midnight the other morning;
[A] Maryland state trooper from the Prince Frederick Barrack…observed a southbound BMW following another car and failing to dim its headlights. As the car passed he also saw the vehicle had no working tag light.
The trooper followed the BMW across the bridge and then activated his emergency equipment in an attempt to make a traffic stop. The driver, later identified as Robinson, failed to stop and accelerated away. The trooper notified the Leonardtown Barrack the suspect was traveling between 80-90 mph on Rt. 4.
The trooper saw the vehicle’s headlights go off as the car turned onto Fairgrounds Road. Robinson drove down Fairgrounds Road with no lights on. Just prior to Rt. 5, Robinson lost control of the car, before striking a street sign, a ditch and overturning several times. Robinson was ejected from the car.
Both fellows were wanted on a number of warrants – well Robinson isn’t wanted anymore he was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital.
Bakersfield, California Police Department gave chase to three folks in a Jeep Cherokee that they believed were involved in an armed robbery earlier this week;
The driver failed to stop for police, leading officers on a short chase that ended when the Jeep struck a tree.
The driver got out and ran, and an officer opened fire, striking him, police said. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
One of the passengers also fled and was found nearby and taken into custody after “minor physical force” was used, police said. The third suspect was taken into custody without incident.
Police found a gun during a search of the Jeep.

Deshaun, say it ain’t so, blood. What it be, homes? I’m sure he was attempting to turn around his life. BTW, I know the place. Been in area many times. Not what one would consider a, uh, high rent district.
Not the place where you get your Moravian cookies from?
At least whoever was driving the Beemer offed himself with his shitty driving, maybe less paperwork for the Officer and they won’t have to lay him off during an investigation.
You’ve never seen the paperwork involved in a fatal accident? Of course, the pursuing officer is off the hook for the paperwork, but somebody has to do it.
Regarding the three individuals in the Jeep, many of us here won’t like them despite not knowing them, are apathetic toward their feelings, and sit in judgment of them even though we cannot empathize with their situation.
Play stupid games, get stupid prizes. Phuckem.
Of course…
I was just making a Buck Owens joke.
Four names for one dude? Couldn’t his parents have spread the wealth around a little bit? Seems like kind of a waste, especially now that he’s dead.
It’s ok. They always called him Day Day in the neighborhood.
Don’t run from the cops.
While I think it was polite of the strange person who called 911 to report herself doing a holdup gig, if a Taser didn’t work on her, she was on something.
The others: do not run from the cops.

I’ll say it again, “If your mama made up one or more of your names you are doomed to a bad end”.
Agreed, Roger. I know I’ll be painted with the big “R” brush by some, but I must agree. How many with wildass names end up being hired by a company in a position of visibility? Very few from my vantage. Yes, some/many end up being successful in life, and I applaud them for their efforts. I believe many are automatically at a disadvantage due to their name. I worked part time at Washington Hospital Center in DC while stationed at Bethesda 72-77. It was common practice for some of the delivery room staff to suggest outlandish names to moms for their newborn. A few accepted those outlandish names. Yes, paint me with the ‘R’ brush, that being ‘Realist’. JMHO based on personal observations.
