Tuesday morning feel good stories

| March 28, 2017

In Lenoir County, North Carolina, a home alarm system warned a homeowner that someone had broke into his property while he was away. When he arrived to investigate, he found four people were robbing him. He busted caps at the four, hitting one in the arm. The police caught another thief nearby and they’re still looking for the other two.

In Lamont, California “someone” shot an armed robber during the commission of his crime. The robber’s injuries were unknown at the time of the press report.

In Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, three armed and masked men broke into a home where a father and son chalked up three DRTs (dead right there). Neither the father nor the son were injured in the gun battle.

In Bakersfield, California a store clerk shot a robber to prevent a robbery of his store. The thief checked into a hospital to be treated for his two abdominal wounds. That’s where he was arrested.

Dateline Broken Arrow, AZ…lesson permanently learned by morons.

LMAO!

ALVO

The article I read said there had been a “spate” of recent break ins… I suspect the “spate” was just ended via 5.56 mm body cavity search.

When a father and son had to face 3 home invaders, the son used his skills to shoot and kill all three of them. 2 died where they fell, on the kitchen floor, and the third made it to the driveway before dying. If a couple of other incidents the thugs were shot and wounded, marked for positive identification, and a couple more were able to get away, to try it again another day.

Doc Savage

I suppose its a good thing the son didn’t listen to Uncle Joe Biden’s advice about a double barreled shot gun for home defense……he would have had to beat the last one to death with an empty rifle.

Hondo

It gets even better, FC. There was a 4th accomplice in the Broken Arrow, OK, story: the getaway driver. She’s now in custody – and is facing three felony murder charges and three armed robbery charges.

AZtoVA

Dang, look-it that mugshot too. Only one on this here sit would hit that….

Hit with three murder charges AND an ugly stick.

My grandpa always told us to make sure the bodies landed in the house if we ever had to defend ourselves like that….he was also originally from Broken Arrow…I wonder if it’s in the water 😉

Doc Savage

Broken Arrow…..that’s the second story I have read today where there were 3 intruders and 3 DRT’s.

Seems another happened in Oklahoma?

Doc Savage

Its all good….a story with a happy ending for the good guys.

LiRight

It looks, much to the dismay of the scumbag perps out there, that the good guy’s aim is much improved!

Kill ’em all let God sort them out!

AW1 Tim

Always nice to read these stories. Get my day started on a happy note……. 🙂

Former EM1/SS

Lenoir County? Where have I heard that before? Hmm. Not Bernath, not the Round Ranger, Chevy the cheese master? Nope not him either… But someone who went deep into the tourney was from there……

Crowfoot

Not Lenoir County, but the city of Lenoir on the other side of the state. That is the home of our favorite round ranger.

E-6 type, 1 ea

That would be William Derek Church the Round Ranger.

Former EM1/SS

Ahhh. It was indeed the RR. One of my favorites. I’ll have to go back and read that one, I think he garnered almost as many comments (and generated more than a few) as anybody out there.

You guys missed the best part in the Broken Arrow story:
“Deputies said Elizabeth Rodriguez, 21, was arrested after authorities said she drove the three intruders to the Broken Arrow residence. Rodriguez was arrested on three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree burglary.”

Glad to know that the irresponsible person is responsible for the entire fustercluck.

Eden

Awesome! That part wasn’t in either of the two accounts I read (and forwarded to Jonn). One account did make reference to “triple homicide”, and a commenter rightly took exception to that description based on the story. Now that description makes more sense.

UpNorth

The shootings in Broken Arrow would be homicides, justifiable homicides.

QM1

Much more likely to be shot breaking and entering here in southeastern North Carolina. Not a good choice to make anyway, but definitely not a good choice around here.

David

One AR, three dead perps… and they say an AR isn’t suitable for self defense.

Another article on the OK case says the perps had knives and a set of brass knucks – there’s a phrase about bringing a knife to a gun fight.

Carlton G. Long

Were the brass knuckles for the match after the midget tag team and the 20 man battle royal??

David

so a total of at least 5 targets (er, ah, perps) and the homeowner hit ONE in the arm? Range time!

Hayabusa

FYI, I’m pretty sure the Lamont, California, story and the Bakersfield, CA, story are actually the same incident. (Lamont is a suburb of Bakersfield, and both stories happened at the “Azteca Market”).

Doc Savage

I predict a 00.00% reoffend rate for this incident.

That locked door you just kicked in?…..it was locked for your protection….not mine.

Ex-PH2

In regard to the Broken Arrow incident, the BBC just happens to have a mug shot of Maria Rodriguez, the ‘getaway driver’ for the three home invaders who were shot.

Oklahoma dead criminals were 16, 17 and, 18. Crime was noon on a school day. Is it spring break in OK. STAY IN SCHOOL
