Monday morning feel good stories
From Del City, Oklahoma;
A homeowner told police he shot a man who aggressively came through his front door in Del City Saturday night.
The shooting happened about 9:30 p.m., in the 4400 block of SE 37th Street.
Officers believe there may have been some sort of altercation, because the homeowner was also injured.
“The person shot was possibly out here in the street parked in a car a short time earlier where a female had left him in a very intoxicated state,” said Del City Police Major Jody Suit.
The suspect was taken to OU Medical Center by paramedics and died at the hospital. The homeowner was also taken to a hospital for his injury.
The clerk had just spotted part of the building’s window smashed when a man jumped out the window carrying goods from the store, those sources said.
That is when the worker drew his gun.
The suspect then took off running and in the process dropped the sledgehammer he used to break out the window, as well as cigarettes he was trying to steal.
The worker fired a shot hoping the suspect would stop, police sources said, but he kept running. He made it to his waiting Toyota minivan and sped off.
From Poulsbo, Washington;
The homeowner, a woman, lives off Highway 305. Authorities say she was by herself when the 28-year-old suspect tried to break in.
The woman told deputies that she heard a noise and grabbed her gun, warning the man several times.
Despite her warnings, she said the man kept coming.
Deputies say she shot him from inside her home, leaving a bullet hole in at least one window near the front door.
“Definitely scary for this lady who’s home alone in the middle of the night and you’ve got somebody breaking into your home. I’m sure it was a scary time for her. And she did what she thought she had to do,” said Det. Lt. Earl Smith, Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office.
That man was hit in his chest and his hand.

We legally armed Americans will protect what is ours. When a thug threatens us, we have much less concern for his/her well being than for ours. This morning we have one neutralized, one shot in the chest, and one driving away while sitting on his messed underwear.
Too bad two of the perps are still stealing our oxygen! More range time people, more range time!
Oklahoma is what part of what I regard as Deep Red State America where the vast majority of folks are too damned busy working like hell to earn an honest living to put up with anyone’s silly shit and they’re not afraid to defend themselves. In the story from Virginia I have to say warning shot = BAD IDEA, a complete and total waste of ammo. As for that goblin, I’m absolutely sure he’ll fuck up again and get either shot or hauled off by LE, it’s just a matter of time.
To the Va perp,
“It’s hammer time…..”
Seriously, though, the Va store worker should have put a couple of rounds in the van (if it wasn’t too far away), either disabling or marking it for the po-po.
