The story
A few weeks ago, I had trouble breathing so I went to the emergency and they discovered that I had pneumonia and it was fairly persistent. I had none of my blogging gear with me, so I couldn’t let anyone know what was going on and my phone kept crapping out.
So I spent more than two weeks flat on my back in hospitals. TSO drove a 14-hour loop to check on me.
I finally got out last Tuesday, now I’m recovering from the hospital stays. I’m pretty wiped out.
Thanks to Zero, Dave and Ex-PH2 for stepping into the breech, but I’m sure they can’t do this much longer. SO, if there’s anyone else out there who wants to contribute, email me and I’ll set up an account for you after some extreme vetting.
Save your prayers and well-wishes for my poor wife.

Thanks for informing us- Get Yerself Well—-and prayers for yer better two-thirds.
Oh, I have enough gossip to last at least through the current administration. 🙂
You just get well and get back to the shooting range. And my kindest regards to Mrs. Platoon Sergeant, who probably needs a spa day by now.
Ya took the words I was about to type and arranged them to make sense.
Welcome back, Jonn.
We missed you.
As did the DRG.
Hope all is well.
I wanted to connect with you while you were in the Big House but part of me wanted to let you be. Another part wanted to know that if I emailed you through the site that you would get it. I wasn’t alone in that, I know. Now that you’re back in the hills, if I send you an email through the site, will you get it?
Yes, but I’m pretty slow in my responses.
The email is in your bucket.
Welcome back…prayers for a complete and speedy recovery.
Yes! Prayers for a total recovery!
Ditto here, PSG. rgr769, out.

rgr1480, out
I hope you kick this thing to the curb. You built a good blog, with good people, and we can carry on while you recuperate. Wishing the best for you and yours.
Welcome back Jonn, get well soon.
Indeed, welcome back. Take care of yourself and get better.
C’mon Jonn-admit it. Once we all heard that the previous nominee for Secretary of the Army dropped out we knew that you were undergoing the interview/vetting process for that job.

No, seriously we all missed you. Get well soon.
SEC ARMY? But Jonn’s not gehy (not that there’s anything wrong with that). Oh, wait. That was the Navy and when what’s his name was around.
All best to you and yours. It may be tough, but we will survive somehow as you work on fully recovering, Jonn. That is all you really need to concentrate on right now.
Just let us know when to send in the clowns.
Oh, wait…
Welcome back Jonn! Like 2/17 said I wanted to ping you but thought that your in box was already full.
Betting that the DRG has volunteered to fill in.
Welcome back Jonn….Hope you and your family are recovering quickly. You were missed 🙂
Special thanks to Ex-PH2, DAve and Zero for keeping things going 🙂
Nice to hear from you…Hope all is well.
I hope for a continuous and rapid recovery, Jonn. I also hope your wife gets some real needed rest.
Beyond that, I’m glad to see you back at the keyboard.
Welcome home Jonn. I hope you recover fully and quickly. Bless your wife for her care for you. Take care of yourself first and foremost. You left good folks in charge here and they have done a fantastic job! Ex-PH2, Dave and Zero, thank you so much for steeping up and stepping in.
Welcome back Big Toe!
Ya, Ya, whatever. A friend in need is a pain in the ass.
Anyone tries to hug me, slobber all over, get all squishy, or touches me in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable … I’ll kill ya

*grin*
Exactly, any of you Homos out there try anything and…
Er, um… It actually crossed my mind that if I were currently up in West Virginia I really should drive over to Jonn’s to check on him and give him a hug.
Hey, what two consenting adults do in private is cool with me. If posting in the blog turns me fag…everyone dies.
Just sayin..
One of these men might save your life some day.
Then again, maybe one of us won’t.
Great job by your crew Jonn.
Try not to that again.
Jonn, make sure you keep taking your meds and take it easy. I had the pamonia once and it was an ass-kicker. It took about 2 or 3 weeks before I felt normal after the doc told me my lungs were clear.
Jonn, those who stepped into the breech did an outstanding job. TAH will survive for the interim with their excellent work and ALL of your fans will understand. Take care of #1 first. What is it stewardesses tell PAX during the briefing? “if an oxygen mask drops, put it on you first then onto your child or someone with you”. Oh, and lay off those stogies if you want to breath right and send any dark rum my way for safekeeping.
UNLESS you’re traveling on a very kinky airline. One sign of that is if you hear the announcement “Your attention please, we are preparing to land, please return all seat trays and Stewardesses to the upright position.”.
or the SW attendant who said “if you are traveling with more than one child, please decide who you love most and put the mask on them first”.
Don’t know if that is true, but did hear one myself when in the midst of droning on about the safety features, the attendant said “the bag does not inflate but oxygen will be flowing. At that point please deposit $1 for the first minute and $.25 for each minute thereafter”… maybe three people on the airplane reacted – the rest of the passengers never heard it.
Jonn, glad to hear that you are home now and getting a chance to eat REAL food now.
But, I gotta ask what you meant by “…….now I’m recovering from the hospital stays”. Is that code for being exhausted from having all of those pretty nurses hovering over you? 😉
Get better soon, PSG.
Remember Jonn ‘Mi Casa Su Casa’ if you need some recovery time in the dry air
Please let us here in the old Pueblo know…. good to hear you are receiving
Sorry we didn’t make it out on Christmas we did a day trip to the D.C. Area

We’re done Lol.. we are sending something you way to help with the blog hope it helps
That would be recovering
Welcome back, Brother. Continued recovery for you and the Mrs.
Back just in time for da Super Bowl.
BTW, Hardin attempted a coup but I intervened and put it down. I’m also keeping a close eye on PH.
“I’m also keeping a close eye on PH.”
And we know what you mean by that HMC, 😉
Rest up Jonn, god to have ya back.
Just get well, Jonn…
Praying you get well fast! We missed ya!
Clams! Where ya been, girl? We’ve missed you, too!
Get Well Soon, Jonn! I had pneumonia a few years ago and it kicked my ass in no time, glad to hear you’re getting better!
Bro. Jonn….You remember saying to me late October, “You gonna let a little hospital stay get you down?” My four months of recovery ends around the 26th of this month. My prayer is for your recovery to go as well as mine has. Welcome back, really missed you; in spite of the three amigos doing a great job in your absence.
Good to hear from you, Jonn. I dropped a donation your way about the time you got sick. Prayers for your continued recover and for your bride’s health and sanity during this time.
Thank You, Jonn for the update and Welcome Back, Soldier: You were definitely missed by the TAH Family.
Kudos to Ex-PH2, Dave and Zero for stepping in to continue the mission. In fact, Kudos to ALL of the TAH Family for the support and comradeship shown for Jonn these past two weeks.
Yep, we are Family.
I wish you and your loved ones’ happiness and all of you many more years here together.
HEAR, HEAR!
Fo’ shizzle my nizzle bo dizzle!
Jonn,
Just get better….we were all worried about you, you old SOB 🙂
“OLD”…..the pot calling the kettle black!
I hate to sound insensitive, but I just realized that Jonn’s recovery means I’m out another TV. GaaaaaaaaaaaaamitDammit.
Well, we could always start a Go Fund Me page for you…
😉😎♞
Welcome back Jonn, but take your time and finish your recovery. We can stand firm until you are totally back on track.
The important thing is to get better. This blog crap can wait.
Spot on, Mustang!!
Jonn, so glad to see you are at home and recovering! Have you ever got one of those shots to keep from getting this crap? I know how you feel, I have had that crap before as well. Just get plenty of rest and good rum won’t hurt a thing! Ex and Dave and all the gang have kept things running. So glad to see you back! Take care of yourself and just rest easy!! Take care……….
Yeah, you can’t trust the shots.
You got that right! They may protect you to some extent from certain strains of it, but that hardly guarantees you will never have pneumonia.
My GF is a pharmacy tech at the local Wally World – the current pneumovax immunization oly covers about 1/2 of the strains of pneumonia out there. She suffered from a bout of pneumonia around the time that Jonn did – took her about 20 days to get over it (she has asthma, which made things harder on her).
Welcome back, Fartsack.
You’re lucky Doc didn’t just give you some Motrin and tell you suck it the f up.
He should have just rub some dirt on his chest. That would have fixed him right up.
I will send your wife prayers and well wishes and send you whiskey and other therapeutic liquid refreshments. Welcome back and take it easy, brother. No more sick call vacations.
You know the story, Jonn, and you’ve probably heard, “Take it easy,” about a thousand times now.
Make it a thousand and one.
I’m glad to you’re doing better. Best wishes for your continued recovery!
Jonn, here’s hoping you and your family get back to normal soon.
Jonn- glad to hear you’re on the mend. The pinch hitters did a great job, it’s great they were all available to fill in and keep us all from havin’ withdrawals. Lookin’ forward to you crackin’ the whip here again, but get all the rest you need, and let’s hope that Mama gets some R&R time, too.
Thanks for what you do here.
Rob J
Glad to see you back on the horse, Jonn!
Glad to hear you are doing better and getting back to keeping the rest of us straight.
So glad to get the update and SO glad you are on the mend. Be Well!
Glad to hear you`re on the mend and back home, Jonn. Prayers and well wishes for BOTH of you.
Leave your ruck lay where it is. You have many here that would be honored to pack it-self included.
Glad you’re getting better Jonn. Don’t push yourself, pneumonia sucks. Heal first, ain’t hell second.
Glad to see you back, Jonn.
Savor the wailing and teeth-gnashing of myriad stolen-valor shitbags. Revel in their tears of sorrow.
…errr…. Back to work! 8 – )
Glad you’re back… get well ASAP.
Thanks for the update and hope you get back on your feet soon! We missed you!!
“So I spent more than two weeks flat on my back in hospitals.”
Oh, man … been there … I got the t-shirt.
The muscle atrophy from that alone is a real butt-kicker.
His Strength and Peace to you and all of your House … but especially to HH6, “the friend who is closer than a brother.”
Jonn, glad to hear your back in the saddle (almost). Much good wishes to you and your bride.
