Lawyer: Clinton warrant unjustified
Los Angeles lawyer Randy Schoenberg got the warrant unsealed which the FBI issued for Huma Abedin’s computer in the waning days of the election campaign and now he’s decided that there was no smoking gun which would have prompted that warrant, according to USATODAY;
“I see nothing at all in the search warrant application that would give rise to probable cause, nothing that would make anyone suspect that there was anything on the laptop beyond what the FBI had already searched and determined not to be evidence of a crime, nothing to suggest that there would be anything other than routine correspondence between” Clinton and Abedin, Schoenberg said in an email to USA TODAY. It remains unknown “why they thought they might find evidence of a crime, why they felt it necessary to inform Congress, and why they even sought this search warrant,” he said…Clinton campaign officials echoed Schoenberg’s complaints Tuesday. Campaign spokesman Brian Fallon said on Twitter that the “unsealed filings regarding Huma’s emails reveals Comey’s intrusion on the election was as utterly unjustified as we suspected at time.”
This along with the “hacked election” meme will probably headline news broadcasts for the next four years.
At the same time, Comey was in possession of evidence showing Russia was hacking into the Democratic Party apparatus, and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., accused him of holding back “explosive” information about Russian interference…former president Bill Clinton said his wife “fought through everything, and she prevailed against it all.” But she couldn’t endure the combination of the FBI’s interference and Russian meddling.
I don’t care how or why it happened, I’m just glad that it did. The last time I checked, the FBI director works for the President. Someone should check into reasons why Obama didn’t want Clinton to be president.

The fact that the identity of some of our foreign intel assets could be deduced from the content of those emails is irrelevant. “At this point, what difference does it make,” even if they were also on Wiener-boi’s laptop. As she would likely say, “the laws are for Thee, not for Me.”

I never believed that Obama would even consider pardoning Hillary if anything bore fruit from the FBI investigations, And I have no doubt that Comey was ordered to slow-walk the Clinton Foundation investigation(s) until after Obama left office so ol Barrack wouldn’t be in a position to have to consider a pardon for Hillary.
The prime rule of diplomacy is to “Stab last, stab deepest.” Hillary lost the election because it was in Obama’s interests for Trump to win, and Hillary to lose.
As I’ve said before, you know on some level Barry is loving this shit. The only question is whether he’ll get the satisfaction of having Das Hildabeast come groveling.
The big question is whether he is going to pardon her on or about 1/19/2017.

I have to agree with that. She did start with Iowa last year, but said all the wrong things and left her small audience staring at her as if she were an alien species that had just landed. No sense of what they were all about at all. I don’t remember how Bill C did in Iowa, but I think he was better at working the crowd than she ever was.
And another part of her losing had to do with ‘the Agenda’, which meant nothing to anyone but a small portion of the voting population. The rest of the votes she could have gotten went elsewhere.

I didn’t believe he would pardon her, either, no matter how modest the offenses might be. The reported carelessness was very disturbing, because neither you nor I could have gotten away with that kind of thing. If you’re correct, and I’m guessing that you are, he may have been waiting for her to sink herself into a hole she’d never escape.

There was no way of knowing without checking that emails were or were not irrelevant, consequently getting a warrant to search through them makes perfect sense. I’m not a fan of unreasonable searches, nor the Patriot Act, but in this case a laptop was surrendered and in the course of one investigation additional information on another case was discovered to be on this laptop. There was no way of knowing without looking that those emails if they were damaging.
This is more sour grapes from the loser squad…the next four years will be this way. This should come as no surprise, the last 16 years have been this way with the party out of power bitching and moaning the entire time they’re out of power.

Clinton had or caused the deletion of emails that were work related despite court orders from her servers.
The laptop in question had work related emails on it and it was legal an necessary to see if there were more classified emails on the laptop.
This is a case of a lawyer wanting to make headlines after the fact as well as trying to rewrite and revise history.

Lawers don’t do title searches in CA. Most CA lawyers wouldn’t even know how to go about it.
At that point, HRC had already been *proven* to be in multiple outright lies to Congress. (Much of this is on youtube video from C-SPAN coverage of the hearings.) And, had said she’d provided all her emails and then been proven to have not done so. So, getting a copy of someone else’s emails who commonly corresponds with her, would easily go to demonstrating whether or not there were YET MORE emails that she had not shared. The content within them is not as important as her open defiance of congressional inquiry and her repeated false testimony on every imaginable point of the topic. And remember, the topic was overlapping with that of the state dept’s corruption that saw our own people murdered and then a prompt cover-up. (More than once. Seal Team 6 is another Benghazi.) It just so happens that in finding YET MORE of HRC’s emails that she had not provided, it also demonstrated other things, like that they rigged the DNC to take out Sanders and many other things — which of course, all mainstream news is ignoring, and Obama shrugs that there was nothing interesting in it all, since what was IN all the releases is apparently to be ignored. Comey would never have needed to look for more emails or say anything had HRC not provided what Congress required originally and what she SAID she had provided originally — but lied (on many topics). The fact that the natural timing of all this happened to fall during the period when she was attempting, with the help of nearly all mainstream media (a collusion which the emails proved), to run for President, is really just the way it worked out. I missed one detail: the entirety of ‘Russia interfered’ wasn’t just because the DNC emails showed up on Wikileaks. It was allegedly because RNC emails did *not.* RNC people deny that they were hacked at all. But even if they were, Wikileaks says the reason only DNC emails were posted is because what they got was from a leak inside DNC itself — there was access to only those emails, that’s all that was leaked, and so that’s all Wikileaks had available to post. WL was even defending themselves long before the election, saying they were being accused of only showing the seamy side of the democratic national committee (DNC) and none of the Republicans, but Wikileaks insisted that the only thing they had gotten was the DNC stuff, and that if someone sent them stuff from RNC they’d post that too. But everything about “Russia hacked the election” is based on the assumption that a) Wikileaks info came from the Russians (which every source in the chain now public says is not so, that it was a DNC leak instead), that b) the Russians also had RNC info, and hence that “the Russians NOT sending RNC info to Wikileaks” is the crux of “how they interfered with the USA election.” A ton of assumptions there. Assumptions there is likely no truth for at several points in the chain. Russia — and other sources too — might have some of the same info but at this point, it’s probably becoming more a question who does NOT have the info. This is what having an unsecured server in your bathroom (DNC main player Hillary Clinton), and a moron (John Podesta) who clicks on phishing links, can lead to — and what having cyber-security that is insufficiently competitive with a whole world that is very competitive on that (esp. China) can result in.
