Thursday morning feel good stories

| October 13, 2016

In Muncie, Indiana, Eddie Demarcus Phillips, 23 tried to lure a man into a robbery, when his intended victim shot him in self-defense. Phillips was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital.

15-year-old Deondre Larise Brannon and an unnamed accomplice tried to steal a vehicle in Wellford, South Carolina. According to the owner, it was the second time that day he had been robbed. The owner shot Deondre DRT (dead right there). Police found a weapon on the scene, so they figure that one of the thieves was armed and the owner shot in self-defense.

A security guard in Detroit, Michigan tried to recover stuff that a thief tried to steal from a construction site. When she reached inside the vehicle, the driver took off, trapping the guard between two vehicles. She opened fire at him and he was DRT (dead right there).

Our first story from yesterday has been updated; A store clerk in Fort Lauderdale, Florida was confronted by an armed thief named Curtis Sanders, 30. When the clerk reached for his own gun, the Sanders shot him in the head. The clerk still came up with his gun and shot Sanders several times. When the police arrived they took the clerk to the hospital and he was treated for his non-life-threatening injuries. Sanders, however is in serious, but stable condition.

4 incidents, and 3 bad guys dead and one in serious condition. Why in hell would someone put their life on the line just to steal a car? Downright stupid.
If someone, anyone, made the least threat to me while trying to steal what is mine, I will respond, using deadly force. These piece of shit hoodlums have no respect for their life or ours.

Fine “day at the plate” for armed citizens. In the new stories, we have 4 total perps; three are now taking the eternal dirtnap, and the 4th is now in custody (but, unfortunately, is young enough he likely won’t be tried as an adult for felony murder).

That’s a 4-for-4 day with 3 HRs and a solid single; daily OBP, 1.000 and daily slugging percentage, 3.250. Not bad at all.

It’s a shame the Astros can’t produce stats like this. Oh wait, it’s October. The Astros have all gone home. (bleh)

Hondo, I always look forward to the box score! You are my favorite!! One more thing, I always keep a throw down handy in case I do have to shoot one DRT and then discover he had no weapon after all. It helps stop all of those pesky LEO questions? But officer, he pointed a gun at me??

Graybeard

These days, if someone questions whether or not there is a throw down, DNA testing can provide evidence of whether or not the perp handled the weapon.

In Texas, I don’t need a throw down. “The perp was trying to attack me and mine, and I fired in defense of myself and my family.”
“Oh, OK. No problem.”

I’ll second Graybeard… forensics, while not as portrayed as on TV, are still good enough to determine whose gun it may be. (Imagine you’ve been smart enough to thoroughly wipe every cartridge case, the magazine, AND the gun. You think a totally clean gun doesn’t raise a flag? You carried it in a pocket – they get suspicious of the clean gun and check your pocket lint and said dead perp’s – explain THOSE results. What do you use for gun oil? Ammo? Will they find any at your place? How about at his?) Messing with crime scene evidence, like the old “shoot him outside and drag him in” is pretty much a great way to go to prison on multiple felonies, and will also poison your self-defense claim. Bad idea. If you can’t make a clean shoot, don’t shoot.

Posting online that you intend to falsify a crime scene is unwise. The prosecutor can easily find online posts. Nothing online is truly anonymous.

I am assuming you were referring to the actions of a character in a work of fiction you recently read.

Replied to wrong post. Sorry. Clearly I was confused and misread the thread.

Range time increases the percentage or DRTs and DOTs. You can never have too much range time.
