Military aircraft crash more often

Fox News reports that Because of cuts to training and maintenance, US military aircraft are succumbing to gravity more often.
A Fox News investigation reveals that, overall, the entire U.S. military saw a 48 percent increase in non-combat aviation crashes in 2014 and 2015 compared with the two prior years, based on press reports.
“They are going up partly because they are not getting the training they should get. They’re going up because maintenance is harder and harder to accomplish. They are going up because the airplanes are getting older and older,” said House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, in an interview with Fox News.
Sequestration has played a major role in the state of disrepair. Pilots’ flight hours have been slashed because of cuts to military spending while there is war being conducted against terrorism. Congress and the White House won’t cut social spending, so the military takes on the entire burden of spending cuts – that costs lives and it reduces readiness. Who could have seen that coming? We went through this all once before – during the Carter years.

Plenty of money for benefits for illegals and importing muslims…
You bet! and we need to spend a lot of money on the hucksters golf and vacations, and Michaels shopping trips with mama!!
We also went through this during the Clinton administration. It was actually worse (because it lasted longer) than under Carter.
For all his flaws, Carter did at least get a bunch of stuff prepositioned that was used during DS/DS/DS. Not that it made up for his incompetence in general, but he did do that one thing right.
Someone should sue bodaprez’s ass over this, right into the ground.
Im gonna keep my trap shut because one of these days i am going to blow a gasket and send an strongly worded emale to the community organizer in chief, and that’s gonna put me in hott water with my CoC.
Just make sure it’s done PDQ so you don’t PO your CoC to the point where you get put on KP to the point where you’re declared MIA and end up an SOL SOB!
I remember a time in the 70’s at Cannon AFB with the F-111D where due to an engine issue with TF-30-P9’s and an avionics issue with the HSI’s we had only 6 mission ready aircraft out of 4 squadrons for like 3 months or so, they used to tow the aircraft around the base in the evening to give the impression for the Soviet satellites flying over on their synchronous orbits that all was well…wonder if any of that is going on these days ? wouldn’t surprise me
No money for training, flight time and maintenance of aircraft… I’ve seen this play out before with Carter and Slick Willie. The JEF is just playing the same card again at the cost of plane crashes and aircrews killed in accidents.
Another Boadprez legacy…
HMCS: Can you explain JEF again? I can’t find the previous post.

I remember when we were transitioning to M60A3 tanks back in the Clinton years.
No money available so we static trained on the tanks in the motor pool. No money for ammo, fuel or parts.
We all wondered back then about how you were suppose to “train as to the way you fight”.
Yeah, our crews were combat ready. /sarc
Chit!!
Meant CARTER years.
Ah hell, put both in the bag and only way you can tell the difference is one has a soggy cigar.
Put both in a bag and there is a 100% probability you will randomly and repeatedly pull out a turd.
Just like the Depression, only we weren’t all over the world sticking our noses into countries that might be best left to their usual devices. You know, clan and religious feuds, bribery, theft, de facto slavery, all that stuff we believe in.
Or, as a paraphrase, guns AND welfare?
And look at those Depression years, figure out based on world events how well that policy of isolationism worked, then get back to us, will ya?
The sadness of this is that there is often a pilot(s) in the wreckage.
Not to worry, though. Welfare people got their moon pies and chips. Wonder what % review the sale ads to improve their purchasing power? Yeah, me too.
Yeah, I don’t GAS …
I’ve succumbed to gravity once in the physical sense, and multiple times in the figurative sense. Whether it’s fuel or luck, I tend to have less than what’s needed to get to my destination.
Take my attempted flight for instance, or my run as pretend honorary CPO (because I never was a CPO, real, honorary, or any other kind of CPO). Let’s not forget my crashed legal career, as evidenced by the fact that not only am I a disgraced lawyer, I’m a disbarred one.
CRASH!

We have the FA-22 which is a proven bird as well as other aircraft, but too many pols and bureaucrats have been bribed int spending cargo ship loads of money on “The Flying FUBAR”, the F-35. That and HOW MUCH will it cost to feed the endless stream of goat-humping muzzie fleabags that B. Hussein 0bama and Hitlery Rotten Cankles want to keep infesting US soil with? How much money is now spent on illegal aliens and welfare flunkies nowadays?
But there’s plenty of money for the gun-less F-35….
Requires less maintenance without a gun 🙂
How do you expect pilots and crews to train and maintainers to fix aircraft when there are much, much more important things to be taught. Sexual harassment, drinking and driving, sexual harassment, drug abuse, spousal abuse, safety briefings, Law of armed conflict briefings, Education briefings, … Did I mention sexual harassment briefings? Treating the airmen of todays air force like they are children is more important than them actually being allowed to do their jobs.
