Cornered, ISIS turns on civilians

| July 4, 2016

This week marks the end of Ramadan, so it seems that ISIS has stepped up its war against the unarmed innocent. Three suicide bombers detonated themselves in the airport in Istanbul after a hail of gunfire. 20 hostages were gunned down in Bangladesh, the other night (Three were American students) after the victims were quizzed on their knowledge of the Koran (even though this isn’t a war between religions, we’re told).

CNN reports that 125 people were killed in an attack in Baghdad. An explosive-laden truck slammed into a coffee shop. Apparently, this is a war against coffee-drinkers.

ISIS promised an uptick in terror attacks during Ramadan. The Baghdad assault came just days after massacres at a cafe in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, and security targets in Yemen. There have also been recent suicide attacks in Jordan at a border crossing near Syria, and suicide attacks in a Christian area of northern Lebanon.

Last month, a gunman shot up a nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 49 people before he was killed, and an attacker killed a police commander and his partner in France.
ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attacks in Bangladesh and Yemen and there are news reports that ISIS claimed responsibility for the Jordanian attack. Experts believe the group might have conducted the attacks in Turkey and Lebanon.

USAToday blames ISIS’ loses on the battlefield for the latest round of terrorist attacks;

The massacres demonstrate that the Islamic State has established cells around the world — and is still capable of heinous attacks despite its recent setbacks on the battlefield.

“The Islamic State is losing territory in Iraq and Syria, but it is still a formidable opponent and very dangerous,” Bruce Riedel, a former CIA officer and an analyst with the Brookings Institution, said Sunday.

The militant group claimed responsibility for the assaults in Baghdad and Dhaka, and is strongly suspected of being responsible for the Istanbul bombing.

The war against terror has shifted from the battlefield to the streets.

I’m no Starbucks fan, but taking out a coffee shop in general? Dick move. War on one of the 2 “parenting” elixirs. Damn that to hell and back.

The Baghdad target was a popular shopping mall/restaurant area. The neighborhood was predominately Shi’s with a small Christian minority. The area was packed with families, who generally go out and socialize later, during Ramadan.

This type of attack [as well as future events] was expected, as Da’esh gets rolled up, north and east. This attack will likely be followed by more during the summer.

But remember kids, ISIS is the “junior varsity.” No less of an authority than Obumbles said so.

UpNorth

That’s right, they’ve been “decimated”, and they’re “on the run”.

USMCMSgt(Ret)

Precisely. In spite of John Kerry’s proclaimation that ISIS is carrying out these attacks because they are desperate, I think this just means they’ve become emboldened. “Contained” my ass!

Club Manager

Bill O’Reilly nailed it the other night. An attack on one member of NATO is to be treated on an attack on all NATO members. England, France, Belgium, the US, and other member nations have been attacked by ISIS. This makes ISIS a NATO problem and they need to get off of their fat dead asses and do something other than waste money doing “look at me Russia” field exercises.

IDC SARC

That^^^^^

Silentium Est Aureum

CM–Bosnia was also supposedly a NATO problem 20 years ago. The Eurotrash couldn’t even keep the shit out of their own back yards, and as per usual, the US had to do the heavy lifting.

IIRC, Clinton promised our presence there would be “temporary”, but IIRC, we’re still there. NATO is the US carrying the load for the EU, so they can spend all their money on worthless socialism programs, then try to claim the moral self-righteous high ground.

Silentium Est Aureum

Correction to my last–our “major” involvement ended in 2004 when the Euros took over, but really, have we completely left there yet?

Ex-PH2

Australia’s election season has found the liberal politicians losing and the more conservative winning. Their gripe is that Asians were buying up all the good farmland and good housing, and they feel the threat from ISIS is as real as it can be.

In regard to the Baghdad truck bombing, it was a refrigerator truck loaded with explosives. The toll is now 151 dead and 200 wounded, and may still rise.

Ex-PH2

Latest number of dead has now risen to 200.

And to top it off you had a man get his foot blown off in Central Park NYC. People said they heard a loud explosion. IED’s in the US or am I just paranoid? I’m sure that if there is a tie to ISIS the administration will swiftly react by admonishing us and ensuring that the imaginary backlash that never comes against Muslims, never comes.

Flagwaver

So, there are potential IEDs in Central Park? Hmm… must be the Christians.

Ex-PH2

No, that was a homemade firework, and the idiot jumped off a rock onto it.

There was no IED or anything else, just a dumbass trick on a day in the Park.

MK75Gunner

Where dod you read that Ex-PH2? I haven’t read anything official that explained exactly what happened.

Nothing says holy like blowing up innocents to advance the faith. Way to go Islam!

I blame the NRA and intolerant LGBT bathroom rules in North Carolina. Or something.

Good story from Powerline this morning about a young man in the Dhaka attacks who was offered the chance to leave by the murderous vermin, but chose to stay-and die-with two female friends who were apparently too westernized for the jihadi scum.

Maybe they just need Gun Control Laws, a group hug and a $15 an hour job frying hamburgers?

Aw, hell–now you owe me a cup of coffee and a new keyboard.

I’ve got that mental picture of Marie Harf wearing the Hot Dog on a Stick uniform. Wish I knew how to post that, so the link will have to do:

Bangladesh terrorists educated and from well-to-do families:

Marie Harf unavailable for comment, busy having “Inflate to 32 psi” tattoo removed from her forehead.

Ex-PH2

Marie REALLY needs to get rid of that Jennifer Aniston hair cut. That is SO 1990s! And those specs? For pete’s sake, modernize, you bimbo!

MK75Gunner

You don’t get it. Those big, nerdy looking glasses are hipster style affectations that are supposed to give marginally cute, vacuous blonde bimbos an aura of intelligence. They’re all the rage amongst the empty headed boys and girls that infect the campuses of indoctrination.

OWB

Terrorists committing terrorism.

Shocking.

(Or maybe not so much.)

The 13 Colonies took on the mightiest empire on the planet, and won.

Later the United States took on and defeated both the Third Reich and The Empire of Japan.

(Yes, both were coalition wins. A win is a win.)

The Islamic State? They “punch up” when attacking unarmed women and children. They are contemptible, cowardly scum, most of whom do not know which end of the goat to hold. We have beaten far more competent and dedicated fanatics. Once the current incompetent-in-chief goes back to whetever slack from which he fell, we can be about the task of squashing these cockroaches properly.

I have no doubt that Obunghole lays in bed at night soaking in sweat ( and perhaps urine) for fear that Vlad Putin will wipe out more and more of his Isis bros, in spite of Obunghole telling the world that it must not react against the poor oppressed muslime. In my old age now, looking back, I would have never believed it, had someone told me I would feel more loyalty and admiration for a Russian leader than for the make believe C n C of the USA… but here I am.

Their “holy” holiday is marked by incitement to murder, and subsequent murder. By their fruits you will know them.

We can identify those who incite murder, which is a crime. Why hasn’t this happened?
