Sunday morning feel good stories
Sarah Ross of Flagler, Florida saw a “sketchy” fellow casing her house, so she got her gun after sending her kids to safety in their bedroom. When he forced his way into the home with a crowbar, she came up behind him with the gun and ordered him from the home. As he left, she also armed herself with a camera and took his picture and the plate number of his getaway vehicle. About an hour and a half after her call to the police, they had two people in custody.
In Houston, Texas, a gas station customer got into an altercation with a security guard and tried to take the guard’s gun. The guard got the gun first and shot the fellow 5 times. He was DRT (dead right there).
Sea Dragon sends us a link which is an update to the story we did the other day in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The crook, a 15-year-old, is still in critical condition in the hospital after being shot by a homeowner. But, Sea Dragon says that he arrested the boy a while back, so he’s been at his life of crime for quite a while.
In Levittown, Pennsylvania, a pharmacy owner saw an armed thief enter the story on his security system and he met the fellow when the thief tried to navigate the counter. The owner shot the thief several times and the criminal was DRT (dead right there). The getaway driver stuck around long enough to get arrested.

Another very “good day at the plate” for armed citizens.
Today, we have 6 total perps (PAs). Of that total, we have 2 DRT (HRs), 1 wounded and in custody (extra base hit); and 3 others unwounded but in custody (singles) – and zero successful crimes. That’s a 6-for-6 batting line with 2 HRs, another extra-base hit, and 3 singles.
Perfect? No. But I’ll take that any day of the week.
The drug store robbery in Pennsylvania was already featured at TAH as a feel good story. Follow up to that is that the District Attorney has stated that the pharmacist performed a community service by removing the “alleged robber” from the gene pool. If it was Northern California, that pharmacist would be sitting in jail.
I thought so, too, but the date of the article was the 11th (Saturday) and in the story it said that it happened on Friday, so I figured I’d rather be safe than sorry that I missed one.
Wow! The picture at the link for the Houston shooting suggests this was the only crime scene in Houston at the time. The person was DRT,right? “Nothing to see here move along…” “Yo, I’m talking to you police officers – go back to work.”
Hey, hey, hey! By my count, that’s 5 DRTs in two days. Might be a record. DRTs don’t strain hospital resources and don’t spend the rest of their lives sucking on the public teat. Good results all around. (Just wish somebody on that club in Orlando had been packing and could have canceled a certain someone’s ticket before he caused all the damage.)
