Gun Groups Offer Free Concealed-Carry Gun Training To School Employees

Washington Times editorial piece reveals that the Democrat-controlled California state senate voted 28-8 Wednesday to exempt itself from the very restrictive gun control laws that apply to the rest of the populace. This provides just one more example of how the political class and the entertainment industry consider themselves literally above the law. When your legislature wants to be armed itself but to disarm the citizenry, it tells you very clearly who they fear. The question begging to be asked is why do they think they should fear us if they are governing properly?

Actually, this could be a very good move for California Republicans in the November elections. A candidate vowing to have the same laws for the governing as the governed might gain a considerable following and you can be sure the NRA will be making it an issue. It might even help Trump in that state but not likely enough to make a difference in the total vote. The state is simply just too-far-gone Democrat. However, even Democrat gun owners have to bristle at this Marie Antoinette move by their senate.

Looks like Leland Yee might have had his colleagues in mind as customers…

Leland Yee probably drafted this bill before he got sent to the bighouse; the bill probably also includes exemptions and waivers so that commiefornia senators can legally own and carry RPGs and SAM-7s…

Once again, “Rules for thee, but not for me”, elitist attitude. I’d even be willing to bet a dollar to a doughnut those pushing this are all DildoCrats.

You do realize that the source article is 5 years old, from 2011?

No apology necessary…the write-up was spot on. Sadly, the analogy of Marie Antoinette will stop well short of the original height-loss programs.

Typical politics. An old article, but these things have always happened when an elite class emerges.
Rules are necessary to govern, but Freedom for the “We, Us, Our” class.

Speaking as a Californian, we’re screwed and I’ll be the first to admit it. The dominance of the Democratic Party has gotten so bad that to utter the word “Republican” in polite company in LA or San Francisco is almost as bad as saying “Fuck” at a gathering of evangelicals. You could probably do a poll and find out a typical R-word candidate is considered only slightly above a pedophile, but below one of those dickweeds who tries to check 20 items through a 15-item checkout line.

The Democratic edge amounts to both U.S. Senators, 38-15 in Congress, the Govenor, 26-12 in the State Senate, and 56-24 in the Assembly.

What’s also true, if you look at the available data, is that a lot of the increased Democratic dominance isn’t coming from the old party values of looking out for those who work for a living, that would mean jobs, it’s instead driven by a limousine liberal faction who want to hug a spotted owl. Governor Moonbeam’s high speed choo-choo to nowhere being a case in point.

Bread and circuses.

As a California taxpayer and employee, I say this from the bottom of my heart: fuck every last one of them.

Today’s political class is a pox on this nation.

Uh-oh. The 9th Circuit has rendered another decision, which nearly always means more liberty lost. It ruled that the 2nd Amendment does not confer a right to carry a concealed firearm and uphold some local requirement that ccw permit seekers show cause when requesting a permit. Ultimately, of course, the Supremes (less Justice Scalia) will revisit this matter. That’s reason enough not to vote for Wide Load right there.

Silentium Est Aureum

Fortunately, demonstrating cause in most states is as simple as, “Because it’s my right and I want to exercise it.”

Thankfully not every place is as jacked up as CA.

Well, along these lines the 9th Circuit did just rule today that there is no Constitutional right to carry a concealed weapon saying:

We hold that the Second Amendment does not preserve or protect a right of a member of the general public to carry concealed firearms in public.

And then from the Washington Free Beacon:

A member of the Democratic National Committee’s Platform Committee said at a planning event Wednesday that she does not believe anyone in the United States should own a gun.

“I really don’t personally think anyone should have a gun,” Bonnie Schaefer, former Claire’s Stores CEO and North Carolina resort and spa owner, said. “I mean that’s just my own philosophy.”

Schaefer proceeded to argue that nothing good can come from having guns available to the public.

“Nothing is ever solved when you have a gun in your hand, except the worst possible scenario,” she added.

Three types of people in the world: sheep, sheepdogs, and wolves. I just wish the sheep weren’t multiplying like rabbits!

Veritas Omnia Vincit

Some of us don’t mind the sheep getting as stupid as fuck on a regular basis…

I ain’t no sheep dog, but I ain’t no fucking sheep either…I’m more that animal that makes both a little nervous at times…might be a dog, might be a wolf depends on the moment…but most times independent of both the sheep and their dogs.

OWB

Might that make you an eagle?

I dunno about her statement, having a gun in hand often ends in the best possible scenario. It may be terminal for her constituency, though.

The legislature is a reflection of the public. The people of California continue to elect these bozos regardless of the laws they pass. They get the government they deserve. Your only solution is to move.

I live in southern california and your claim Republicans may have it better is a joke. The state is completely lost to democrats. It was lost when Bush failed to secure the mexican border. Bush was our last hope to stop the illegal immigration. Now california republicans can’t win.

It’s over. Just look at the latest election results on june 6. Reagan has rolled over in his grave. Republicans and Democrats ruined the state. Reagan should never have passed that amnesty. He hurt the future of his own state by that “accident”. Poor gullible Regan.
