Tuesday morning feel good stories

| May 3, 2016

In Santa Rosa County, Florida, 21-year-old William Chris McClanahan-Spenler tried to attack a man with his sword. His intended victim was having nothing to do with a sword fight and instead, in a move reminiscent of Indiana Jones, blasted William with a shotgun. Bill was taken to the hospital until he recovers and begins his new life in the hoosegow.

On a lean day for stories comes one about 26-year-old David Lailes, of Santa Fe, New Mexico who was arrested the other day for stealing beer from a crippled 61-year-old man. He got a couple of whacks with a cane for his trouble and police caught up to him. The police say that Lailes has been contacted 159 times to issue arrests or citations or investigate reports of suspicious activity in his short life, and he’s been arrested 53 times, not counting this time.

Mr. Lailes of New Mexico needs to remove himself from polite society before someone does it for him.

Mr Lailes needs to be hobbled. Like what Kathy Bates did to James Caan in “Misery”. That should slow him down enough to put a kink in any future criminal endeavors.

Looks like Crazy Drunk Lecherous Unkle Joe Biden’s advice about shotguns may not be so bad after all. Almost enough to make him Preezedential material. . .

On second (and third. . .and fourth. . . ) thought. . . .

Mr. Lailes is making an argument for a habitual felon law, which it would appear his state lacks (or doesn’t like to use).

Pinto Nag

We already have a law for habitual felons. It’s called the Second Amendment.

“The police say that Lailes has been contacted 159 times to issue arrests or citations or investigate reports of suspicious activity in his short life, and he’s been arrested 53 times, not counting this time. ”

A sad commentary on the state of our legal system. One might ask, why wasn’t he in jail already? I agree with Pinto Nag’s comment above.

Mr Lailes is the type that caused the old time phrase “He needed killing”. Just saying – –
