I see these stories and find myself outraged, but with a tear as well. There are other sources that verify this story. Dunno anything about this particular site so caveat emptor.

ETA: At least one source says this is OLD news. Sorry Jonn.

I hear they were all on a ride to a political rally. They are trying to us all from Trump and Clinton.

Linky no worky, at least on my computer thingy.

Claw, it faked me out at first too. There’s apparently something going on in the way it was posted, and might be due to a WordPress weirdness. What looks like an image screen capture isn’t, and the links work out of either the copied headline, or in the “Continue reading.” Both point to:

Thanks, Perry. I couldn’t get it to work in any way, shape, or thing until the new links were posted.

Anyway, CPL Richard A. Bennett, of Gerard, KS died May 30, 2006, after being in a non-hostile helicopter accident on May 27, 2006 in Iraq.

RIP, Young Marine.

The Westboro Baptist Church inbreds were foiled again. They’re well known for trying to instigate and provoke people like Daniel A. Bernath on a rampage and if anyone responds to their shit they try to sue just like Bernath while trying to portray themselves as the victim of someone else’s unwarranted aggression. I was born and raised in Kansas, and I keep in touch with friends that still live there and I can honestly say that if the WBC and all of its inbred gaggle were to suddenly be swallowed by a sinkhole never to be seen again, not only would the City of Topeka and Shawnee County, KS celebrate, it’s likely that the entire State would go on at least a four day “GOOD RIDDANCE” party and celebration that would make New Year’s Eve, the 4th of July and Mardi Gras all put together look tame.

Has the WBC been outside their own doors since their Klan leader Fred Phelps died? It’s been mighty quiet. Or at least, not as many headlines.

FACT: Fred Phelps was a disbarred Attorney in Kansas known for filing crazy lawsuits.

My personal feeling on the gay lifestyle may not be positive, but at least I believe Gad hates NOTHING. Hate, per se, is too strong an emotion for me to have with few exceptions. However, if those assholes were EVER in our area raising ANY kind of hell during the funeral of one of our own who gave their lives while serving; I am MOST LIKELY to end up in jail. You can count on that. I’ll go so far to just about guarantee others my age will be right beside me.

I was one of about 8,000 attendees at Chris Kyle’s funeral at Dallas Stadium. The WBC people were there, a couple blocks northeast of the stadium in a fenced-in enclosure.

There were a lot of cops at the funeral. A few of them were doing traffic control, most of them were on the WBC protection detail.

I suspect that protection detail was one in a long list of distasteful things that cops have to do – like protecting bad politicians. On the other hand, it wouldn’t do for the funeral party to massacre the WBC people. Dare I call it “fun”? All that fun would distract from the solemnity of the occasion.

First Amendment speech protections. Can someone tell me why speech condemning gays, women, and trans people is illegal hate speech but speech vilifying men, white people, and straight people is protected free speech? Why is that?

Richard, for the same reason that where my wife works, for the State, it is mandated that Muslims be allowed to gather 5 times daily for their prayers. But Christians who may like to gather, even before work hours to pray once are not. Then it is called separation of church and state.

First Amendment or not, the first time someone of that ilk shows up at a local veteran’s funeral here, they will have a fight to deal with.

I’m a member of MN Patriot Guard, and it is an extreme honor to stand a flag line for one of our fallen brothers and sisters. It is a very powerful event for the families to witness total strangers, in all sorts of weather, standing in silent tribute to their loved one.
Gets kinda dusty sometimes…..
