A 38-year-old man is in the hospital and facing charges after police say he was shot while trying to break into a vehicle at a Cleveland impound lot early Thursday morning. The shooting happened just after 5 a.m. at Lot 6 on Quigley Road. When officers with the Cleveland Division of Police’s Second District responded to the scene they found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
According to investigators, the man was attempting to break into a car inside the lot when he was confronted by a civilian contractor working with a towing company. The contractor, who is not a city employee, told police the suspect displayed what appeared to be a firearm.
In response, the contractor fired his own weapon, hitting the suspect in the leg. The man then ran but was later found hiding in a nearby vehicle.
He was taken to the hospital by EMS and is under arrest for breaking and entering.

One hopes there is no Vernall Robinson V. Thanks, Gun Bunny.

One may can hide, but it is hard to run with a Boollits in your leg. I hope he suffered….a lot.
Vernall shoulda left well enough alone and just…left. Seems to me that the “victim” in this case would be the older dood that, tho he had “multiple gunshot wounds” managed to return fire and score a DRT.
Appears that the only thing the demonrats can organize is pallets of ballots and protests.
Yepper, My S&W Model 10 was one of the finest wheeled shooting irons I ever owned. Belonged to a retired Georgia State Patrol Captain that had passed away. Rode very comfortably in a shoulder rig under my jacket, Ivory Handles, and accurate as all hell. One could literally knock the gnuts off a gnat @ 50 paces. Captain’s dumbass son hocked it to a pawn shop after dear old dad passed away. I paid $175.00 for it in 1993 and it was my EDC until ’06 when the lying, thieving, whorish final ex-wife claimed it was stolen in a burglary during the divorce proceedings. That was after she claimed her father had it (he didn’t, her Daddy was as fine a man as one could ever meet, Naval Aviation during WWII, Hell Diver Driver. He estranged himself from her afterwards). Rest Easy, Mr. Billy.
I still want to replace my Model 19. That was my favorite carry gun while I had it. There’s just something about S&W K-Frames that make them about as perfect as you can get. A 4″ barrel is concealable, while not look out of place carrying openly (reserved for carrying in the woods in my case). I’ll admit, my Model 29 is nice, but it’s a bit hefty in the shoulder rig and almost a burden on the hip.
The revolver in the picture looks a lot like my Rossi (or Astra? I need to check; I had two very similar 5-shot 3″-barrel revolvers but gave one back to a friend who’d originally given it to me). Which reminds me. I finally got my ultrasonic cleaner and some Evaporust.
Grabbed the gun (it’s the Rossi, the Astra was my friend’s) and it’s about to get a bath. The gun’s still functionally perfect, but it stayed in my truck a bit too long and has a fair amount of rust on the outside.
