Did Bubba flub it?
Millions of Americans on both sides of the political spectrum are eagerly awaiting the results of the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s fairly obviously unlawful misdeeds regarding federal secure communications laws. Democrats whistle past the graveyard, hoping that even if there is a finding of criminality, their party’s control of the federal prosecution process will prevent their conceivably convictable candidate from ever standing in the dock. Many Republicans are in an almost foaming at the mouth condition, fearing the very thing the Democrats are hoping for.
All speculation on both sides is focused tightly on Barack Obama, because it is his, and only his, call. A simple shake of those expansive ears will absolutely end any possibility of Hillary facing a jury for her violations. Conversely, a mere nod to his attorney general will set in motion a scenario never before seen in American politics: the indictment of a political party’s nominee for president.
Hillary knows that her fate is in the hands of one man who is rumored to be less than enamored of her and her husband because of past slights of which he’s rumored to be resentful. On the other hand, she knows Barry wants to see his socialist deconstruction of constitutional America continue through what the media frequently refer to as Obama’s third term. Thus, Hillary’s knee-bending deference to Obama’s programs and presidency, although stomach-turning even to some Democrats, can be expected. When a single person wields the power to keep you from serving hard time, you’ll be inclined to do a bit of sucking up, no matter how badly it gags you.
With all that in mind, how is it that in a speech in Spokane, Bill Clinton, while exhorting the crowd to support his wife, said this:
But if you believe we can all rise together, if you believe we’ve finally come to the point where we can put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us and the seven years before that where we were practicing trickle-down economics with no regulation in Washington, which is what caused the crash, then you should vote for her.
Uh, Bill, “awful legacy of the last eight years”? Does anyone besides me think ol’ Slick Willie, in a not so slick moment, just let his real feelings about the guy who would have been carrying his bags slip out in a rare, un-Clinton-like moment of absolute candor? Wouldn’t you just love to be a fly on the wall of the Oval Office when that little gem of obvious truth is whispered into one of those outstanding ears? Do you think it might drop with a rather loud clunk on one side of the scales of political payback in Barry’s brain? Do you get the feeling Bill may not be making too many future appearances on behalf of his wife?
Well, maybe if it’s on the witness stand….
Thomas Lifson adds: I am not the only one who has been struck by how feeble Bill Clinton looks of late. The open mouth while others speak, the licking of lips, and other behavior that indicates someone losing his faculties are just plain sad. His health may become a factor in the presidential race of his wife. A normal devoted and loving marriage relationship might occassion the jettisoning of career plans in order to care for an ailing spouse. Does anyone believe Hillary would put aside ambition in order to care for Bill? Or do you think she would attempt to squeeze every possible degree of advantage from sympathy?

I think she would dangle a Klondike Bar in front of a speeding bus to run his bloated ass over, then she’d rip the door open, grab the driver by the throat and rip him from the controls, violently throwing him aside and back up and proceed forward repeatedly until Bill’s corpse was squashed flat.
Then she’s skip merrily off singing tra-la-la-la-la like nothing happened.
The End.
Klondike Bar in front of a speeding bus? Imagine me rolling on the floor in laughter. Freaking funny as heck.
ChipNASA…..she would be saying “At this point, what difference does it make”!!
BHWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! ! ! ! !
Poetrooper… Bill doesn’t look well. Did he misspeak about ObAmA? My guess is that he didn’t, both him and Cankles seem to have a very deep hatred for him, and Billy let it out in Spokane.
You’re also correct about Cankles, this is about her. If Bill were to have a sudden health issue or worse, she’d try to use it to play the “sympathy vote” for her. She can get into the White House without him, and she knows it.
Does anyone believe Hillary would put aside ambition in order to care for Bill?
NO!
Or do you think she would attempt to squeeze every possible degree of advantage from sympathy?
YES!
“Even a stopped clock is right twice daily.”
A military clock would only be right once a day…
And a broken digital clock is never right.
Hondo, welcome to my world; laid low by the literalists.
Heh…
Note where the article reads, “A Bill Clinton aide later clarified that the former President was “referring to the GOP’s obstructionism and not President Obama’s legacy.” Anybody buying that bullsh*t?!

Considering that the dems had control of congress for two years and the Senate for 6 years of Duh One’s rule, I call bullshit on Clinton’s aide.
Hmmmm…well, whether Bubba (who I agree looks ghastly) was rambling off-script or not, Obama does not strike me as the kind of person who acts out of emotion, especially on important matters like his legacy. You can count on Obama to factor into any decision WRT prosecuting Hillary the impact it would have on the presidential race.
Put another way, Donald Trump is Hillary’s best argument right now. If prosecuting Hillary means a near-certainty of ushering in President Trump then Hillary will walk.
Because decades from now, long after Benghazi and her compromised server have become minor footnotes that scholars will have to dig in order to find, Obama will either be remembered as the president whose legacy continued in Hillary, or the president who gave us Donald Trump in the white house, and I don’t think Obama wants to be that second guy.
Good points, Martin, but consider that if Trump is the nominee, he will pound Hillary for her endless trail of transgressions, with a full arsenal of ammunition. If the DNC made Joe Biden the candidate, Trump could only pound him for being a hapless doofus, which might even gain old Joe some sympathy votes. Trump would effectively be disarmed.
Biden might also slow or even reverse blue collar Democrat defections to Trump with his aw-shucks appeal. Say what you will about Biden, he may appear dumb as a post, but he’s nevertheless a likable guy with many, many friends in Republican power circles who might prefer him to Trump and quietly support his election. Biden would likely work much more effectively with Congress than either Obama or Hillary.
‘Biden would likely work much more effectively with Congress than either Obama or Hillary.’
Is that a lapsis linquae, Poetrooper?
Did you intend to say Obama or did you mean Trump?
I honestly think he may be in the early stages of Dementia or Alzheimer’s. This can only be deliberate on his part. Even in his diminished capacity, he would not stray from prepared text. I have heard that he and Hills despise Barry and the 2008 Election was not a Happy, Happy Funtime for them.
I would love to see Obama bring down the Ban Hammer on Hills and hand the nomination to Crazy Uncle Bernie. Oh the Election would be so much fun!

OCTOBER SURPRISE!!!!!
Nah, late May or early June surprise.
HILLARY INDIDTED!
This does not included secorndary spin off cases regarding CGI and public corruption.
Hey, but what do I know …
I think she would prop him up in a casket for a photo op if it would get her more votes.
If she gets elected President, she’ll have to sit at the same desk her husband got head from an intern at.
That makes me giggle a little.
She’ll probably have the chair burned and Monika Lewinsky will have an “Accident” like Vince Foster.
Four or eight years in Australia would be her best bet; some very, very quiet island with very friendly natives to watch out for strangers for her.
And she’d still drown in Sydney harbor on a shopping trip.
Unless he has decided not to support her for election.
“Ooops, my bad”
Hunter Thompson said it best in the ’92 campaign: Either of the Clintons would knaw one of their own legs off to get into the White House.
If you have never watched BJ Clinton’s taped deposition regarding the Lewinsky scandal, the one in which he says, “It depends upon what the meaning of ‘is’ is,” then you owe it to yourself to watch it. He was lying through his teeth and his voice and manner signal the lies, despite his presumed coaching. Cripes. What a piece of work. The deposition was limited to four hours so eating the clock (Clock! I said clock!) was part of his strategy. That stuff aside, I have some serious concerns about the FBI investigation into crimes committed, perhaps, by Hillary Rodham Clinton when she served as Secretary of the Department of State. Her feigned ignorance of anything even remotely related to computers, servers, and email use is just as silly as BVJ’s “depends” statement. But it is much more serious. The possibility of stonewalling and WH influence into criminal wrongdoing certainly exists. At this point, there likely are grounds to bring charges. Convictions, absent a plea bargain, are never a certainty. So, what’s up? Where are 2016’s Woodward and Bernstein? Where’s Deep Throat when we need him? Maybe the better question is, if an informant, an insider called the WaPo to spill his guts, would anyone accept the call?
“Where are 2016’s Woodward and Bernstein? Where’s Deep Throat when we need him? Maybe the better question is, if an informant, an insider called the WaPo to spill his guts, would anyone accept the call?”
The questions almost answer themselves. If we were talking about a Republican, it would be Watergate all over again but with 24-hour news cycles and constant harping from the SJW and BLM folks. But since it’s a Demoncrat – “Crickets!”
When it’s a Demoncrat, nobody in the MainStream Media will do anything. La la la la la, nothing to see here. They just don’t care. She could be selling small children into slavery and they’d still see nothing.
He tanked her 2008 campaign and I’ve seen no reason to think that he’d do anything differently this year.
He’s been doing the mouth open thing for decades. He didn’t slobber too much while doing it in the past. Early in his political career, it appeared to be an affectation rojecting awe and humbleness. Did it just become a habit? Who knows.
He did not miss-speak. The peasants are revolting, in his view mostly for reasons he or Hillary would have avoided in office. If Hillary is not indicted and she is nominated, the winning theme will be that this will be a competent administration, as opposed the the Obama administration, with very different political appointees.
He DID NOT mis-speak, rewind and watch it closely …
It was thoughtfully deliberate … as all of the Clintons’ (future) troubles will be blamed on a ‘vast right wing conspiracy’, Bush and the current President.
I betcha a bag of Brooklyn bagels …
Out!
If being elected meant throwing Bill under the bus, Hillary would be laying on the gas and screaming, “DIE, MOTHERFUCKER!”
As Dennis Miller said, that marriage couldn’t be any more about convenience if they put a Slim Jim rack at the foot of their bed.
