Aaaah, you SUCK, IDC SARC!!!
Oh, well. The title of that photo is appropriate: ‘Nobody wants a Spanish Inquisition!’
I’ll get first next time. 😛
The Spanish Inquisition line is awesome…well played, well played…
Beautiful pic, Ex-PH2…
Thank you both. Getting a lot of field birds again. They come back on time, and there’s not enough for them to eat. I guess word gets around.
Damn that’s what happens when I am driving they post the WOT
Skippy. We need a calendar to calculate how far behind you are. Pick it up, son. You coulda been somebody. You coulda been a contenda.
🙂
There is always next week
I took a picture when I was in does that make me a combat photographer
Just like your mail order Bronze Star with a “V” device makes you a BAMF.
In other words, no.
Depends on how hard she hit you, and who sniped at whom first.
first?
darn.
Another close one. Mere seconds separated you from Glorious First to just another comment.
Yeah I’d just stepped out of my office to take my morning walk. I couldn’t believe the WOT was just sitting there with no comments. Congrats IDC SARC.
I was surprised my govvie computer made the connection as fast as it did. Too bad it doesn’t have performance like that when I’m actually trying to work.
Third
/damn, 90 seconds
FOURTH, dammit!
Bernath lustily gazes at nutsacks.
Dickless danni-boi’s face looks like an old man’s wrinkled, atrophied, nutsack hanging out from under a set of Bermuda shorts…
FIRST to send Dan Bernath some love.

GOT-DAMN IT API.
I guess I can’t be first at ANYTHING this week, huh?
Psul and LoNgchlUrPpPEr41 can so suck a fat babies dick as well.
Hey! You were first with the StuTTering CAPs and cAin’t just anyBoDy make thAt cLaIm.
QuEeFeRs is in some hole somewhere downing another gallon of DRG “cocktails” while lusting after the neighbor’s Peke…
Ain’t I a DICKWEED? ???
Awww, don’t do that to a poor, defenseless baby!
The weather is quite lovely. It’s time for flying lessons!
https://youtu.be/IANwb_qT1gg
Now, was that posted for the benefit of anyone we all “know and love”? (smile)
Just saying get outside, enjoy the fresh air and sunshine, and find a place where you can go flying. 🙂
Or go fly a kite! That’s fun, too and does not require an FAA license, either.
Or aviation fuel.
Bada bing!
does not require an FAA license….yet.
Kites don’t require licensing, because they are tethered.
Drones, however, may become license-required. That should kill that nonsense off quickly.
I found a company that builds platforms for people who want to do aerial shots with a GoPro camera. Not too expensive, either.
Bernath would run out of string on a kite…after two feet.
In fact, Highline Kites offers kits in packs of 10 and 20 kites to construct and decorate your own kites. And I know a perfect hill for flying kites. Now if I can set up a camera with a remote trigger on a kite, I can do aerial shots!
http://www.highlinekites.com/categories/SINGLE-LINE-KITES/Kite-Making-Kits/
A spring time ritual – buy a kite for each of the grand kids, let them have at it on Sat. and Sun.
Then into the trash go the two busted up kites.
Kiddies love it.
Did you know that the Taliban banned kites?
The Taliban has banned everything that has nothing to do with Jihad. I wonder what their position is on Saniel Bernath’s many incoherent websites.
I’m sure they’d approve. His sites are the cyber equivalent of blowing ones self up.
Damn, hot drop into N.Korea to take care of the nukes. How did you get that picture and better yet, why are you still alive?
In the process of playing catch up with y’all, I have been lurking and laughing. But, I gotta say it, DAMN, I wish I’d never read about the unholy trio of images. My eyeballs are still bleeding.
Cute baby birds… nice picture.
Thank you. I thought the two house sparrows with their white collars giving the cardinal this quizzical look was priceless. Sort of ‘you want us to WHAT?’
See, again you just share your birds with anyone.
There I was thinking I was all special and everything…then this.
I’m sorry, Dave. There is no rule that says one cannot flip the birds at a wide audience.
Anyone seen our Black Mick, TOW a/k/a The Other Whitey? And a few Certified Dickweeds folks are showing up with increasing rarity. I don’t like it. Get your butts back here.
Speaking of which, whatever happened to NHSparky? Is he on here using a new moniker?
No, I think we would recognize his stuff. I can guess but that’s all it would be–a guess.
Some, like GDC, Twist, and SJ are commenting much less than they used to. I thought that 2 of the 3 were doing so b/c a certain someone was pissing them off. However, that someone is here rarely, too, nowadays so that doesn’t ‘splain it. Gravel has always been a once-in-a-while guy. There are others and I miss seeing their stuff.
I’m still here. I’ve just been lurking instead of commenting because I’m 4 hours behind most of you and I’m also on night shift so I would be talking to myself when commenting. I go back on day shift in 2 weeks. My wife will be happy that I’m not living the Slaughter lyrics “up all night, sleep all day”.
Well, that’s good–that you’re here, not that you have been working nights. Move one from the AWOL to accounted-for list. I’m thinking TOW gave up TAH for Lent and that he will resurrect himself at Easter.
I can’t wait to go back on day shift. I haven’t seen daylight except through a cracked eyelid for over a month now (I kid, I see daylight for about two hours a day).
One of my best memories if when I used to live in your state, was when I worked night shift on the slope and had 4th of July BBQ at midnight. Something I will never forget. Here’s to long days!
I don’t know why, but I have been in lurker mode for the most part lately. Reading a lot and not commenting much. I guess it’s because 2/17 et al are nailing it in the comments. If Jonn would give us a “like” button, I’d be clicking it like a junkie.
Well, I’m here. I’m always here for the beer, too.
I’m revving up for the summer beerfests coming up the road.
Oughta be awesome.
Ole SJ is in Mexico for 2-3 months in his RV. Hard to post much in between Pacifico Cervezas and Siestas.
Live, SJ!
Live for me, SIR!
WILCO! At 74, I’m trying to grab all the gusto I can before I look like and am as demented as Bernasty.
Mexico is also a beautiful country and the people are amazingly nice to us gringos. My 3rd trip.
Oh, and if the US ever wanted to tighten immigration rules, all we need to do is copy/translate Mexico’s rules. They don’t mess around. E.g., you don’t come in as a resident unless you prove a high level of income and, inter alia, you better never be a political event.
Okay, that’s Twist and sj with really good explanations. GDC? Not so much. Did it ever occur to you that I prefer reading your shit to mine? Hmmm? In other words, if you post more often, I can take a breather, which I am sure a goodly number of visitors would not mind. What if I want to make fun of you? I’ll answer that: I can’t b/c you are not here. So, give me some ammo if you please. Post more and lurk less.
Hahaha…. said “the dude” who has pulled a disappearing act TWICE since I’ve been here.
As Dylan said, “How does it feel?”
I can, and will, do better.
I’m sure he isn’t far.
Memo to Dan: Rustle, rustle, bitch.
What is this “weekend” of which you speak?
7-12’s for the foreseeable future. Great for the wallet, hell on the quality of life. Couple months of this and the only bill I have left is the mortgage.
I can live with that. Especially when I can then double up on those payments.
From the acting Secretary of the Army;
Army Team,
Today we’re celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the end of the Persian Gulf War – where a joint and combined coalition led by the United States Army expelled Saddam Hussein’s Army, then the world’s fourth largest Army, out of Kuwait. Army heroes like Generals Colin Powell, “Stormin” Norman Schwarzkopf, and Barry McCaffery led our men and women valiantly. For the first time, the world witnessed American prowess in advanced ground combat and our interoperability of air, sea, and land forces, live on their televisions.
Our victory came with a solemn cost – 383 American servicemembers lost their lives to liberate Kuwait. While memories fade and time marches on, we must never forget America’s leadership that galvanized support of our allies and freed millions of Kuwaitis from tyranny.
Today, all of you on the Army team – our Soldiers, Civilians, & Families – stand tall in keeping up our proud traditions. Like those that fought in Desert Storm, we are also in a defining moment for our Army as we continue to fight the longest wars in American history in Iraq & Afghanistan. Thank you–you make us proud every day.
Army Strong! Soldier for Life!
-Patrick
For the record, H Norman despised the “Stormin’ Norman” nickname.
A lot of people do not approve of their nicknames. Psaul, Dullass, No-Gas Bernath, Round Ranger, the list is endless. Despite that, I will continue using those nicknames.
And don’t forget that steaming pile of Phil Monkress!
I have a small personal connection to this event.
When 2nd Bde, 1st ID was tasked with securing Safwan Airfield in preparation to having the surrender ceremony on 1 Mar 91, the Brigade Commander COL Tony Moreno (who had been my Battalion XO at 1/15 INF eight years earlier as a Major) was the man who spit the loogie of blood on the occupying Iraqi General’s boot and told him “If you don’t leave by 1600 hours, we will kill you !!*
I knew the man and that sounded just like something he would say. Hell of a good soldier and leader.
Yep. Remember it well. We had birds coming and going – some deployed further north, some at “home” station doing routine stuff. We carried a few tanks here and there during the festivities. Took a bit of battle damage around the edges but nothing too bad.
I had to stay “home” because somebody decided that I needed to be in charge of something or another instead of getting to play in the middle of things. Oh, well. It was plenty exciting being on the edges of it, making sure that supplies got where they needed to be. We made do and helped get stuff pushed to the front as quickly as possible.
Thank you, Jonn, for posting this as well as going in harms way during this conflict.
Do you still have your Chocolate Chips?
🙂
They shrank a little.
We were issued four sets of them two days before flying back to Germany. Of course all tags and patches hade to hand sewn on and inspected for all four sets.
“In 1990, Saddam had the fourth largest army in the world. In 1991, he had the fourth largest army in Iraq.”
time flys… it’s hard to believe it’s only been 25 years it seems like yesterday
Nice tits
Thanks.
An old and obscure tune for all my Amphib brothers, step brothers, and cousins @ TAH who were also ‘born too late’. 😉
‘
Come my own one, come my fair one
Come now unto me
Could you fancy a poor sailor lad
Who has just come from sea?
You are ragged love, you are dirty love
And your clothes smell much of tar
So be gone you saucy sailor lad
So be gone, you Jack Tar
If I am ragged love and I am dirty love
And my clothes smell much of tar
I have silver in my pocket love
And gold in great store
And then when she heard him say so
On her bended knees she fell
I will marry my dear Henry
For I love a sailor lad so well
Do you think that I am foolish love?
Do you think that I am mad?
For to wed with a poor country girl
Where no fortune’s to be had
I will cross the briny ocean
I will whistle and sing
And since you have refused the offer love
Some other girl shall wear the ring
I am frolicsome, I am easy
Good tempered and free
And I don’t give a single pin my boys
What the world thinks of me’
*applause!*
I just spent an hour down the YouTube hole going from one Steeleye Span link to the next. Thanks for posting this.
Makes me want to dig out my ~24 volume Patrick Obrian collection. It’s been about 10 years…
Nothing better than re-reading great books.
John Giduck – the turd with a face!
A couple of mornings ago around 0200 I had the local PD call me. They told me that they had chased a suspect onto the property of where I work and that they would be all over the range complex looking for him. I locked the doors of the building that I work in and then called my boss to let him know what was going on. He asked me if I was armed. I told him that it was against policy for me to be armed at work to which he replied “bullshit, I know you”. Since I’m not featured in a daily feel good story the morning went without incident. I love the fact that my boss and everybody I work with are veterans.
So one of my former Evil-ish Geek-ish Minions (yes, once upon a time I was supposedly semi-cool and had a few actual minions of my own, but really they owned me) who took personal offense to ‘Ric’ Bucklew calling Chris Kyle a ‘false hero’ (it probably had something to do with Chris hooking him and his son up with signed copies of his book and a ton of Craft (TM) swag) sent me what could by considered ‘comic relief’ by most of you. So I’m putting it in the open thread to give you all a chuckle. Here’s some of ‘Ric’s facebook ‘likes’ (not really facebook literate but I was told this is ironic in the extreme). 1st Force Reconnaissance Company; https://www.facebook.com/broadsword6/ SOCCENT; https://www.facebook.com/SOCCENT/ WarComm; https://www.facebook.com/NavalSpecialWarfare/ BUD/S; https://www.facebook.com/Basic-Underwater-Demolition-SEAL-training-BUDS-114007735313717/ ST-6; https://www.facebook.com/SEAL-Team-Six-218382821505136/ Army SF; https://www.facebook.com/UsArmyGreenBeretsSpecialForces/ ‘Honor’ ST-6 (uh, okay, thanks, I guess); https://www.facebook.com/Honor-SEAL-Team-6-208034945893922/ Marine Corps Brotherhood (sounds cool, not being a current or former Marine I don’t think I’d go there on facebook…’not my house’); https://www.facebook.com/Marine-Corps-Brotherhood-135743126467175/ Force Recon Association (love you killers, defacto brothers, but again ‘not my house’); https://www.facebook.com/forcereconassoc/ Marine Reconnaissance Foundation; https://www.facebook.com/Marinereconfoundation/ Green Beret Foundation (I’m thinking this has to be sanctioned by actual Army SF dudes, but I’ve had it explained to me they are not to be called ‘Green Berets’, my simple Frogman brain is somewhat confused but that’s nothing out of the ordinary); https://www.facebook.com/GreenBeretFoundation/ MARSOC; https://www.facebook.com/MARSOCInfo/ US Special Forces (shouldn’t it be US Army Special Forces?); https://www.facebook.com/US-Special-Forces-113117295410401/ 1st Recon; https://www.facebook.com/1st-Recon-466996956649526/?ref=profile Military Frauds (I know, I know…too awesome); https://www.facebook.com/fraudmeisters/ USMC Recon Jack (I know Jack, that MFer owes me $10); https://www.facebook.com/usmcreconjack/ Recon and Sniper Foundation (didn’t he call snipers ‘overrated’?); https://www.facebook.com/RandSFoundation/ Marine Reconnaissance Foundation Team (SARC, if you ever meet ‘Ric’, lookout I think he’ll probably try to blow you); https://www.facebook.com/ReconFoundationTeam/ Educate me here a little, me being facebook illiterate in the extreme. Ironic to the extreme, indeed. Thank you for posting this, mr. sharkman.
I checked out the Dog Tag Brewing Co video on the USMC Recon Jack Facebook page. Awesome.
http://www.dogtagbrewing.org/
To Ric Bucklew:
I’ll defer comments on your lies about being a SEAL and all your other false claims to folks like mr. sharkman. But your lies about being a Marine…you never stood on those hallowed yellow footprints. You never earned our Eagle, Globe, and Anchor. You never shed a drop of sweat or blood while wearing Marine green. You never endured the shared hardships that Marines endure, in peace or in war.
You are the lowest of the low. You deserve to be outed, and you deserve the scorn and the contempt of real Marines. Go to your grave knowing that you’ve left a legacy of fraud, deceit, and lies.
FFS
It may be an obvious thing, but one has to ask if SEAL Team 6 actually has a Facebook page, or even knows that there is one. It just seems to me that they’d be a bit too busy to do PR on their AO.
I was kinda wondering myself at that. Seems a little odd
I almost forgot the most important thing to do: post a recipe!
Here’s one that’s easy to follow, especially for a weekend that is cold and wet.
1 – Get all your peeps together in a bunch.
2 – Pull out all the movie DVDs you’ve got and tell them to choose their favorites. Hint: the full LOTR saga is a 12-hour marathon.
3 – Order in food and drink if you don’t want to make it, but set up a buffet thing in the kitchen or close by. Pop plenty of popcorn and have a huge bowl for it, plus several sizes of bowls for the muncher crowd. Note: newspapers make great substitutes for placemats, paper towels can replace napkins, and keep a trash bag handy for trash.
4 – Start with the cartoon feature. Tom & Jerry is good, as are Heckle & Jeckle and Sylvester & Tweety and the Smurfs.
5 – Make sure everyone has a comfy spot and there is a bathroom nearby.
6 – Start the movie.
I like these movies for movie marathons:
Lawrence of Arabia
El Cid
Excallibur
Lord of the Rings – full saga
The Hobbit – full saga
The Right Stuff
Any chick flick with sword fights, including Shakespeare in Love and Prisoner of Zenda
All John Wayne movies, especially The Shootist (his last film)
Rough Night in Jericho
Kill Bill I & II
Disney feature-length cartoons including Snow White and Sleeping Beauty and Bambi
The Last Starfighter
In Harm’s Way
Starring Pancho Villa as Himself
Troy
Who Killed Roger Rabbit
And last but not least, any of those old black-and-white World War II-era movies that were done by the studios to rally support for the troops overseas.
Most important: Have a good time.
If it’s a sunny, dry weekend and the weather is nice, get everyone outdoors for a hike, take a camera along, and have them make lists of what they find. Even rocks are important. Then go some place for food that accommodates a large group and chow down.
I left out Kung Fu Panda. Sorry. My bad.
Ah, Roger Rabbit.
Remember guys, Ex-PH2 isn’t a bad girl. She’s just drawn that way. 😉
And Ex-PH2, because of the cool photo and you mentioning ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, an interview you will love.
Perfect entrance, and a beer-guzzling camel to boot! Thank you.
And here’s a little Jessica Rabbit for all you lonely guys.

Testimony from Wasserman Schultz this week in D.C. And congress wonders why there is so much support for Donald Trump…
“When you need a feminine hygiene product, you need one. Immediately,” lectured Wasserman Schultz. “For the convenience store to stop stocking products like that is really inconvenient. It’s the opposite of the purpose of a convenience store.”
She even showed Plaster a photo of out-of-order signs slung across feminine hygiene dispensaries around the Capitol.
Multiple (female) congressional sources indicated that many of the machines hadn’t carried the appropriate products in about a year. And when supply was on hand, the product was described as outdated.
Moreover, Wasserman Schultz groused that women shouldn’t have to pay the required 25 cents when in need.
“It’s like charging for toilet paper,” she protested, then she didn’t “want to go into too much detail” about the issue.
Plaster responded that the vendor “has responded with additional stock,” Wasserman Schultz pointedly retorted the new supply was “insufficient.”
Is this the same woman who claims that having an abortion is a private matter, but now demands that this be discussed in Congress?
What a loon. But we already knew that.
Way too many manginas in DC to keep up with supply….
Has anyone heard from Lars today? The Washington Post is joining the vast right wing conspiracy with yet another Hillary mishandling classified material story.

So, for the umpteenth time, I’m watching on TV a series of personal accounts of American, English, and Russian WW II soldiers. It is a great series. Anyway, I’m listening an account from Clayton Bird who received the Silver Star at Bastogne when his platoon was left on their own to, as it turns out, beat back multiple German attacks while in German-occupied territory. It’s a helluva story. The men made their peace and a pact to fight to the last after finding American soldiers lashed to trees for target practice. Well, I wanted to learn more about Bird and used Google. A number of hits recounted that he was drafted BEFORE his 18th birthday, thanks to the original entry, made by a public broadcasting station. Absent a mix-up in records, that was not possible. But there it was. So, I went to the source–the taped interview with the man himself and he says that he was drafted “about three weeks AFTER my 18th birthday.”
Freakin’ media.
My father was drafted in December 1944 just after turning 17. He ended up serving in the Philippines. He took some photos of the first Philipoine Independance Day, with some guy named Douglas MacArthur giving a speech. I’ll send John the photos for an open thread header.
You read it here first.
Rapper Lil’ Wayne got off his private plane to meet with military personnel that just got off a C-130 plane:

Looking for publicity.
Ignorant shitbag.
FUCK. Him.

Beautiful photo, Ex-PH2!
Thanks, Eden. I’m getting blackbirds and cowbirds now. Spring is definitely here.
