Spanish police arrest seven ISIS terrorists

| February 7, 2016

The Associated Press reports that Spanish police have rounded up seven terrorists this morning. Four are Spanish nationals of Syrian, Moroccan and Jordanian extraction and the others were Syrian and Moroccan citizens living in Spain;

In a statement, police said the cell was well-organized and coordinated by a ringleader who ran a business that enabled him to ship containers with technological supplies, weapons and military equipment from Spanish ports to armed groups in operating in Syria and Iraq. The cell is suspected of also supplying funds for IS and Jabhat al-Nusra and of money laundering, the statement said.

The ringleader was also contacted on several occasion by IS urging him to supply women for combatants in Syria and Iraq to marry, “following guidelines set down by the Islamic State group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi,” the statement said.

Spanish authorities say that they’ve been monitoring the group for more than a year.

On march 11, 2004, terrorists killed or injured almost 2,000 Spaniards in the famous Madrid Bombing three days before the national elections and voters elected a president that capitulated to terrorist demands to pull Spain out of the Iraq War. In the past year at least a score of terrorists from the war in Iraq and Syria have been arrested in Spain. I guess security from making deals with terrorists has an expiration date.

My mind is a terrible thing, I know.

There’s an expiration date on deals with terrorists? Well, who’da thunk it?

Between the mobs in Germany, Finland and Sweden, the attacks in France, and that event in San Bernardino, never mind the Nairobi shopping mall and the hotels in Africa, there seems to be an uptick in these events.

I don’t think it pays to be nice to these people. They just see it as a weakness.

Steve

^^ THAT ^^

They DO see it as a weakness. What we would regard as compassion, kindness, mercy, forgiveness, reason – These are things our enemy regards as character flaws.

The Other Whitey

Didn’t they ensure “peace in our time” by giving the bastards what they wanted? It worked for Chamberlain in ’38 after all! The Nazis kept their promise to never invade anybody again for 11whole months! Surely those who commit violence in the name of a long-dead arab gang leader with a pedophile streak and a penchant for bad writing are reasonable individuals who will go home and leave you alone when their demands are met.

Muslims, they’ll honor their promise not to attack until the next car bombing!!

NR Pax

Oh no. Does this mean there is going to be a backlash of Islamaphobiam in Europe?!

Blaster

No problem. There is a very minor chance of being killed by these guys.

Expiration date on deals with terrorists? The date they’re made.

An old Brit named Ruyard put it best:

And that is called paying the Dane-geld;
But we’ve proved it again and again,
That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.
