Wednesday morning feel good stories

| December 9, 2015

In Towson, Maryland, two fellows announced a hold up of a liquor store and flashed their handgun. The 68-year-old clerk showed them his gun and gave them some of his bullets, hitting one of them several times – they left the store at a high rate of speed, but one was DOT (dead over there) a short distance away.

A Philadelphia, Pennsylvania homeowner, shot and killed a masked, armed man who forced his way into the home announcing a robbery. The homeowner fired four times and made the thief DRT (dead right there) with two hits on the target.

In Cottonwood, Arizona, a homeowner shot and killed one of a team of six home invaders. Police arrived to find Gus Terrell Finklea DRT.

Another legal gun owner is being investigated in Columbus, Ohio for firing his weapon at a shoplifter. It doesn’t seem that he hit anyone and the beer thief escaped with his booty, but, you know, you have to use common sense, and I don’t think this guy did.

3 attempts to take what isn’t owned and 3 dead for the effort. Pretty good, and if they have the accomplices, they will stand trial for the murder of their buddie(s). Nice work people. Protecting yourselves and your goods is Your job, not that of the police.

Three goblins assuming room temperature, not a bad start for the day! Going trigger happy on a shoplifter? NOT a good idea, someone needs to pay attention to existing laws.

Pinto Nag

Not just existing laws need to be paid attention to here. Long before I ever owned my first gun, I set up mental parameters as to when and how it might have to be used. Every one of those centered on having to defend my life or the life of someone around me. I have and always will follow the concept that I can buy/repair/replace property. I can’t give back a human life. The only exception has to do with my home, and if I’m in that home when it is entered by a stranger, I am in danger, and I can and will defend my life and secure my property. Somebody who is anxious to use a gun/weapon on another human being should never own one.

Jeff

Man 6 on one and the homeowner still scored a DRT. No more range time needed I think unless its drills on multiple targets at once!

Hopefully the five surviving perps in AZ soon get an education regarding AZ’s felony murder statute.

roady

All of you need to get your facts straight. The AZ home invasion was done by 3 people and the one who you all are praising the death of was my cousin. I make no excuse for his actions or that of his friends but the young man that shot him is a criminal too…which is why they were trying to invade the house in the first place. The gun owner previously stole property. Now should my cousin and his friends have tried to take it back forcefully no. That was stupid, but you should read up a little more before you start making insensitive comments about people’s family members.

Jack

Three in the house two in the car is 5.

David

When the proximate cause of death is a felonious assault and home invasion, you will probably get little sympathy regardless of family affiliation. It’s a pity his actions are bringing sorrow to your family, but note – it was HIS actions that precipitated his death, based on the linked article. Or do you have any other ‘reading up’ we should do?

BigJohn

Relative or not he was a criminal.

jonp

IF your a dumbass and break into a house with a gang to try and steal stolen goods ya gets what ya gets and in this case it goes by the symbol Pb.

Ask OJ how stealing stolen junk works out for you

Not one of the idiots figured out, flipping burgers at macdonalds was more profitable and healthier!!
