Wednesday morning feel good stories
A man in New Braunfels, Texas shot a burglar, Phillip Owens, in his home. Police think that Owens is connected to a number of burglaries in the neighborhood which were also cases of arson, fires set to hide evidence of the robberies.
Sammy Stanfield came back to his home in the middle of the day from work in Carter County, Oklahoma and found 55-year-old Tommy Robbins coming out of his garage. Sammy tried to stop Robbins by brandishing his .22 rifle, but Robbins wouldn’t stop, even when Sammy fired a warning shot. Then he fired once again at Robbins, hitting his arm. When Robbins tried to escape in his car, Sammy disabled the vehicle with more fire. Finally, Robbins surrendered and police arrived to arrest the injured thief.
A criminal in Harris County, Texas, forced his way into a home and fatally stabbed a teenager who was in the shower. A neighbor noticed the ruckus and came to the rescue, a bit late, but he dealt some justice to the murderer who was declared DRT (dead right there).
mattinnc sends us a link to a story in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where three fellows tried to rob a jewelry store, but the owner of the store didn’t like their idea, so he pulled out his gun and shot one of them DRT (dead right there). His pals un-assed the AO.
In Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, a man was welding at his worksite when another fellow walked in the open overhead door, pulled a gun and demanded the working man’s wallet. The man with a job reached for his wallet, but came up with his legal firearm and he fired a shot, missing the criminal, but ending the robbery, as the thief un-assed the AO.

I need a scorecard this morning. One shot, maybe dead, maybe alive, another shot up, marked for identification, arrested, One shot DRT, 2 on the loose, and one more shot at, but not hit, and on the loose.
“but Robbins wouldn’t stop, even when Sammy fired a warning shot.” Warning shots, especially from a .22 rifle, are a waste of good ammunition. My idea of a warning shot, is “2 to the Face”. The risk is too great to just give a warning, (sort of like those Gun Free Zone warning signs).
Carry a hand cannon, the warning shot removes parts of the anatomy.
Hence, the puke is duly warned and has gone on a diet, quick…
Frankie Cee “In the clear”…Roger that brother, on the .22 being any more than a noise maker for self defense. My idea of a warning shot has been and will be, two center mass and if they even wobble instead of dropping, one in their melon. And the weapon and ammo I use means the two center mass hits won’t leave any heart to repair.
Sammy needs to up the caliber on his rifle and stop with the warning shots. It would have ended a lot faster if he had.
There is another type of feel-good story this morning: the off-year elections. Conservative, Tea Party candidate Bevins will be Kentucky’s next governor, only the second Republican to hold that office in four decades. One factor in his victory was the gay marriage crap. His running mate is a retired UASF officer who has never held public office. Ah, fresh air.
Houston voters rejected a city ordinance that was originally approved by the city council that would provided certain allowances (e.g., choice of bathroom, it is said) and protections to LGBTs. Some folks sued to have it put to voters and the state supreme court said, “Okie-dokie.” And, golly gee, the voters said, “No, dammit!” Funny how that works, the tyrants dictate what The People do not want–like this, and gay marriage.
The Democrats were victorious in Bridgeport, CT, where some guy was elected mayor–after spending seven years in federal prison on corruption convictions! Too perfect.
2/17 Air Cav…That’s why Obama is harping on the “Ban the Box” campaign. It’s the only way his cronies will get jobs after he’s gone.
The equal rights bill also protected other groups than LGBT folks… specifically veterans. Most of the bill was redundant, as there are other laws already doing the same. The famous ‘bathroom’ point that it would let men walk into a women’s room at will to commit a crime was BS – existing law also prohibits that. Badly written law, lied about, and defeated. However, many corporations have already declared Houston non grata since a non-discrimination law similar to many other places’ was defeated.
A follow up to the shower attack. It seems that the victim’s sister ran to get help.

Thanks for the article follow up Bobo. Yea little Pedro Sanchez, 21 decided to stab a well liked, popular, good student, neighbor kid to death. I am sure Pedro’s folks are shocked…shocked I tell you that little Pedro would do such a thing. I hope the firefighter got him in the descending aorta and he bled out painfully.
Note that Pedro was wearing gloves so he wouldn’t leave DNA traces – who says kids don’t learn from TV?
Is there any place in the USofA that is NOT infested with democraps and libertards?
I think they collect in certain spots, but then they spread like fungus through local elections and people don’t know what hit them until it’s too late.
I have said before, that I think mandatory firearms training should be part of a school’s curriculum, same as driver’s education. We used to get that in high school for free. If it sorts out the wackos from the less idiotic, so much the better. I just think it’s a good idea, no matter how revolting the pinhead democraps consider it. But that’s just me.
Re: firearms training in schools- I remember receiving hunter’s education training junior high. Granted it’s not the same thing as “firearms training”, but it was heavy on firearms safety. And it worked.
The libs would loose their minds if this was still going on …
Edit – should say IN junior high.
I think I have told this story before but – whatever. For what’s worth it is true.
Sister in law and husband have one child, a daughter. Said daughter went to the junior prom with a young man. Daughter and young man had a disagreement and the daughter and some friends and the coach went to the school rifle range, checked out some ammo and rifles, and shot some targets. During the prom. She was still in her prom dress.
I think that this was in the 90s. They still live in Eagle River, Alaska. I suspect that it isn’t like that any more. More’s the pity.
Another story from NC tells about some puke that was wanted for murder had already found justice when they discovered his body laying on the side of the road, badly decomposed…
Somebody got to him first.
Good, dammit.
Dammit, forgot the link…
