Yer “Private” Email Update
Here’s the latest update on the Clintoon email server brouhaha.
• Number of classified emails found on that “private” server? Now approaching 200 – 188 (125 + 63), to be precise.
• How did that classified email get there? Good question. Apparently, it either “magically” moved between air-gapped systems or was deliberately moved to or created on State Department unclassified systems without proper markings.
• But the State Department IT staff knew about Clintoon’s private server and gave their OK, right? In a word: no.
• Oh and that private email server? It appears to have been on the same network – and maybe the same physical machine – as the Clinton Foundation email server. Compromise one, you compromise both – and does anyone really think that the Clinton Foundation wasn’t high-profile enough to be a hacker target? In any case, it’s a good bet that the network admins would have had access to both to some degree.
• Some of the email on that server was, shall we say, “interesting” DoS business. One email apparently included a discussion of impeaching a sitting SCOTUS justice.
Finally, in unrelated email news: a Federal judge has ruled that the IRS cannot refuse to produce White House emails relating to individual tax returns under the FOIA by refusing to say whether or not the records even exist. The IRS was apparently doing exactly that for FOIA requests relating to the IRS nonprofit scandal headed up by a lady named Lois Lerner.
With apologies to the late Dezi Arnez, in his “Ricky Ricardo” role: “Lois, Hill’ry – ladies, looks like you both got some ‘splainin’ to do!”

I wonder what games the liberal MSM will play to try and either whitewash or ignore this?
It’s already started. Yesterdy the Clinton and some of the DoS staff began using the term ‘mundane’ to describe what was in the e-mails. Today that term is being used all over the place by the MSM.
Go figure, the sniveling liberal media eats up the talking points handed them by the DNC like puppies at feeding time!
So, I was browsing the Drill Sergeant School site; you know, familiarizing myself with what needs to get done before reporting, and I saw where our annual Cyber Awareness Challenge Training must be valid for 90 days after projected graduation. So, I logged into the site and saw that my certificate expired next month. Being a good Soldier, I took the initiative to knock the training out.
No where in said training (an annual requirement for all those with a .mil computer account) did I see anything about “mundane” classified info being okay to spill to an unclassified system. In fact, it is constantly reinforced that we should prevent spillage–reporting attachments marked “secret” on unclassified email servers to our security officer, getting approval to telework and then ensuring that no classified material leaves with us, locking up all files and CDs in approved safes or vaults, never plugging PEDs (personal electronic devices) into computers, etc., etc., etc.
“Mundane” my ass. Let SSG fm2176, PFC Snuffy, CPT Crunch, or even LTC Oakleaf commit such actions, and then try to dismiss them as unimportant. If we’re really lucky, SPC fm2176 and PVT Snuffy will receive General discharges, 1LT Crunch will be able to resign his commission, and MAJ Oakleaf will be able to quietly retire.
As one of the resident cyber guys your preaching to the choir. Besides the fact that she had her own non gov server. Even 1 classified message/e-mail was one too many.
And the media amd political establishment wonder why non-political candidates are surging in the polls. This is one of the reasons. If it had been anyone else charges would have been brought already.
Nixon was a boy scout and choir boy compaired to these people.
Very well said fm2176, I just have a point and a question. If I had a little troop that did half of what she is accused of their clearance would be denied. So it has been 5YRS. sense she was Secretary of State so she should be up for re-investigation SF86 for a clearance how in the hell could she pass one. The junior troop would be denied.
Okay, you knocked out your Cyber Challenge training. Did you complete that computer based training on government records management? What about the course on properly marking documents? I am sure that everyone on this board with a clearance has completed their annual training. Where are Hillary’s certificates?
Having recently refreshed that training myself, I almost choked at the clip they showed in the intro of a former SiS talking about the seriousness of protecting classified information. Irony, thy name is Hillary.
Aw come on. It was just SI/TK. No biggie.
Oh what a load of horseshit. Are any of those people who are vouching for Hillary trained foreign disclosure officers? You know, the people who are hired to go through every report/product line by line to determine the exact classification of that material? If not, then they don’t really know what the hell they’re talking about.
Wasn’t some of the material top secret? I’ve known people who lost their jobs/clearances or had a counterintelligence investigation opened up on their asses because they accidentally sent a US only secret e-mail on a NATO secret system. Talk about double standards when it comes to national security.
Oh, what fresh Hell is this?
It depends on what your definition of “is”, is.

A little off-topic, but what happened to the story of the female ‘MCPO’ that everyone described as having been hit with the ugly stick that was on this site yesterday?
It’s still there, but has aged off the front page. You’ll have to look at the older articles to find it now.
Nope, gone. Was either right above or right below the story on Sue Schippert.
I looked back as far as last Friday and I can’t find it.
I checked again, and you’re right. Apparently Jonn pulled the story.
Interesting!
You mean Colleen something-or-other? You’re right! That story is gone.
I am comfortable stating no one here was surprised to hear that a private server being used for government business might have had classified emails on it or that a private server being improperly used for classified information was perhaps subject to compromise.
The Clinton’s have never exercised any particular sense of good judgment with respect to their personal affairs (pun intended), thus there is no reason to suspect that Ms. Clinton would suddenly decide to exercise any while at State and follow the guidelines. Because of all the corruption in their personal lives and their relationships no one is surprised that HRC would attempt to control the stage with a private server…and being above the law means she has no incentive to ever follow the guidelines.
Unfit for the oval office on every level, she would make Obama look like a truly presidential figure.
Either she, “Blowjob Willie” or B. Hussein 0bama by themselves make Richard Nixon look like an Altar Boy.
MSM = DeMSM (Dem-Es-Em)
She broke the Law plain and simple 50 bucks says she is found innocent does ZERO TIME and gets alway with it and may even win the presidency….
Watch wait and see.
“Found innocent”? 50 bucks says she’s never charged, much less tried.
I’m not taking that bet, because the talking heads on the news this morning were predicting that this will have no effect on her prez race.
Nixon was brought down by a third-rate second-story job, committed by by minions, followed of course by a series of ill-thought-out and in-hindsight really-really stupid efforts to hide it.
There is another boot about to drop. Someone has the un-purged server content. No IT person working for people with her history of vindictiveness would fail to have backups somewhere, if only to prevent the rage-fest resultant from a dead server. They will be found by someone with an axe to grind, and her crew tends to produce them in job lots.
= One filched/extra/duplicate backup tape.
= One swapped-out “failed” disk drive from a mirrored pair of disks.
= One dumped email PST file from a surreptitious use of admin rights.
There are more sophisticated methods than the above easy-peasy stuff.
I am keeping a large can of popcorn in reserve for the day this chicken finally comes home to roost. It may even be something really, really stupid and unclassified, like a smug “..well, I got away with X twenty years ago…” dumb-ass quip to an insider.
From your lips to the ears of God.
This one may turn out to be a hustle, but I am amazed that it starts this soon:
