Wednesday morning feel good stories
The first story today comes from Dave and it happened in Houston, Texas where a robber with a gun ran into a clerk with a legal gun. The thief ended up at the hospital where he was pronounced DOT (dead over there).
Chief Tango sends us some more links to other stories, the first of which happened in Timmonsville, South Carolina, where a homeowner was arrested when it was discovered that he’d shot a burglar DRT (dead right there) with a stolen handgun, so we get a two-fer; two thieves off the street with one bullet.
In Springfield, Tennessee, three men who have been suspected of targeting Hispanic homes for invasions ran into the wrong Hispanic homeowner. When they pounded on his door, the victim answered with his gun and let loose a flurry of gunfire and the three un-assed the AO. One of them showed up in the hospital with a non-life-threatening wound. Police think that his arrest will help them solve the 15 unsolved home robberies in the community involving Hispanic victims, two of whom suffered gun shot wounds during the commission of the crimes.

Aaah, two D’s and a thief put into Bubba & Thor’s harem! 😀
Defending one’s home or stuff should never be considered a crime. However, the HO should know better than to use a stolen gun.
Getcher own gunzz, fellas.
I gotta hope the SC stolen gun isn’t the shooters fault. It is possible to buy a gun previously entered into NCIC as stolen and not know.
I saw an episode of “Alaska State Troopers” where a guy was hassled briefly because his gun had been reported as stolen. It had been stolen and reported to NCIC but was recovered, which was not reported. Luckily the state had a record of the recovery, so his gun was returned and he went on his way. So you just never know. If you paid 200 bucks for a 1200 dollar gun and bought it from the trunk of a car, your gun may be stolen.
