Carlos Felipe Luna-Gonzalez; phony SEAL captured again

| April 9, 2015

Gonzalez-Carlos-Felipe-Luna

Last year, we wrote about the Texas Rangers and their sting operation to catch Carlos Felipe Luna-Gonzalez, a phony SEAL parading around the Dallas-Fort Worth area in the uniform of a combat-wounded SEAL. Apparently, the judge allowed Luna to bond out and he absconded to Puerto Rico. Luckily, the story doesn’t end there according to WFAA;

“That’s a touchy subject with a lot of us vets,” said Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler on Tuesday.

Sheriff Fowler asked Puerto Rico police for help. Monday night, he got word they had his man.

“They wanted to know if we would extradite. They wanted to know in 10 minutes. They got their answer in eight,” Fowler grinned. “He couldn’t even shine the SEALs’ boots, as far as I’m concerned.”

Fowler’s service included duty aboard two aircraft carriers.

[…]

The theft charge was only a misdemeanor. Jumping bond on the misdemeanor is a felony.

“I’m going to bring him back — one way or the other,” Sheriff Fowler said. “He picked the wrong county, I’ll tell you that.”

Luna was arrested last November when Texas Ranger Anthony Bradford, another veteran, set up a sting operation which tempted Luna to accept a “firearm of appreciation” from a local gun dealer for his pretend service as a SEAL and the Ranger arrested him after the “ceremony”. Hopefully, they won’t lose track of him again.

It’s refreshing to see our brother veterans in law enforcement taking out the trash.

ABC News did a report on the case last night and talked to our buddy, Doug Sterner;

Glad the long arm of the Parker County Sheriff reached out for this scumbag. I hope dumbshit has enough sense to watch his head when he gets into the back seats of the patrol cars along his long journey home. I bet at some point he will wish it was the bail bondsman that found him and not the police.

Carlos, meet Bobbi (previous story). A match made in jail cell hell. They’re just made for each other.

ChipNASA

I hope it was worth it you fuckstain. Think about what a big hero you are when you’re in jail taking it up the ass.
Good Jerb there, now go make me another license plate.

Silentium Est Aureum

Jumps bail on a misdemeanor charge and gets a felony rap in the process.

I’m guessing he had real issues on the ASVAB, assuming he even tried to take it.

John Robert Mallernee

He must have passed the ASVAB, because the report states that he served on two aircraft carriers.

John Robert Mallernee

OOPS!

I had it backwards.

It was the SHERIFF who served on two aircraft carriers.

John Robert Mallernee

Well, Luna-Gonzalez did succeed in enlisting in the United States Navy, but got out early on a General Discharge.

So, I reckon he did pass the ASVAB.

Green Thumb

The General Discharge.

The new Honorable Discharge.

General Discharge = Shitbag.

E-3 Nguyen

A General Discharge is not a shiz .bag . Theres are lots of codes under General discharges. From medical issues to not being a good fit for the military etc etc Whats technically important is The RE-code… Military lost a lot of good people to General discharges, good men and women

Rob Gricks

Seen a couple people out processed with a general discharge (actually issue a certificate). Pretty much shit heads. If you have a medical, that is honorable, with the exception of perhaps chemical dependency under circumstances, otherwise, E-3 Nguyen, I would really be interested in an example of a stellar service member getting an General. I have a relative who got booted out of the Navy for rehab failure, he got an honorable, with an RE-4.

Green Thumb

A General Discharge is a shitbag.

CLAW131

E-3 Nguyen, if you think a General Discharge is same same Honorable Discharge, you need to report to your Squad Leader right now and request to be a Basic Training Recycle.

Got It? Report ASAP !!

Carlos, meet Bobby and Thor. They are your new cellmates.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

My step-sister is an LT for the Parker County Jail. Have to give her a call and give her the good news about her new arrival.

Hondo

Hopefully she’ll help arrange an appropriate “welcome back” for this . . . individual.

FasterThanFastjack

Is her name Tiny?

Green Thumb

I did not realize the All-Points Logistics had a Puerto Rico office.

Commander Phil Monkress must be branching out.

E-mail Sheriff Fowler to express your appreciation for his stance on stolen valor:

GruntSgt

Just makes me appreciate living here in Parker County all the more…Get Some sheriff!

W2

Come on now, cut this guy some slack. We all know stolen valor is a victimless crime – HA!

E-3 Nguyen

Acutally its not. people Who Steal like that they steal resources. and perks and benifts. When they haven’t earned it. Those things and appreciation are reserved for the men and women who serve the country. What if they run out of fringe benefits.. that just makes said Person in the military life harder. While you can lie to the general people about being Millitary You cant steal. Their Loot Or can you take their accolades they earned some times at the cost of their lives its a dishonor 2 them

W2

Two words – sarcasm.

ChipNASA

😀 (I see what you did there)
