More From That “Most Transparent Administration In History”

| April 3, 2015

Well, the current       DC clown krewe       Administration has been at it again. This time, they’re “helping us” see how our government spends our taxes.

A Bush Administration law mandates that the US Government set up a website that provided “full disclosure to the public of all entities or organizations receiving federal funds”. The requirement was effective at the beginning in Fiscal Year (FY) 2007.

That website evolved into USAspending.com. Until recently, it was actually quite useful and searchable.

Now, it’s been “improved” by the current Administration’s       political henchmen       employees. And now, when you use it . . . you can’t find squat.

A cynic would say that’s deliberate, because the previous version rather exposed the current Emperor’s nakedness when it came to wasteful spending occurring on his watch.  But that can’t possibly be the case from this “exemplar of open, honest government” we have in DC today.

The Washington Free Beacon has an article giving more details. It’s definitely worth spending the time to read it.

“Most transparent Administration in history” my ass.

Most. Corrupt. Administration. Ever.

And he was reelected, GOD HELP AMERICA!

Phil Monkress and All Points Logistics will be happy. I’m not.

This is Bush’s fault! If the website had not been mandated in he era, we would not be having this discussion today!

Hondo, I just read the article. Thanks for shining your light on it.

I have always been reluctant to engage in the hyperbole of comparing the Obama admin to the Nazi’s or the Soviets because I think it causes a lot of walls to go up and a meaningful discourse to go down. However, when I read, “In another aspect of the overhaul, the online address of each of the website’s individual pages now begins with the word “transparency.”” it chills me. My immediate conclusion is that we are being played… and I have seen the playbook they’re using… and I don’t like it.

You can read their playbook in most any bookstore… it was written in 1948 and is filed under “Orwell.” Double plus good reading.

We The Living by Ayn Rand also.

I went to the site. I tried to search for a company that is in the database “general dynamics”, no hits. I tried to search for “ammo” and “7.62” no hits. There is a map view. I live in Michigan so I searched for that and I could see the state. Then I could see by congressional district or county or zip code. I clicked county, each county is labeled with the number of contracts or grants. I zoomed in to see the largest county – it is Ingham where the state capital Lansing is located. There are 1,112 pages of data sorted alpha order by recipient name and cannot be sorted in dollar order. I tried searching by recipient name – army, Army, us army, department of defense, health, land, water, air, quality – every time it said “no results”. However “state” and “human” returned a lot of stuff. You can also pull down “Agency” and select DOD for example.

I opened Wayne county – it contains Detroit – and searched for “ford”. I get a list of contracts 44 pages long with recipient, amount, and contract number. If you click on the recipient, you can see the government department who made the purchase. If you double click on the contract number, it shows the amount and date and the address of the recipient. So far I have been unable to find out what WE bought.

The most notable issue is that searching for a recipient requires you to know what name was used – the search all returns nothing.

The second most important thing (to my way of thinking) it is hard to prioritize – sort by amount should show me the largest awards but it doesn’t.

I want to know what my money bought and I don’t see how to view that.

Transparent

That word does not mean what they think it means apparently…

Blaster

You dont have to worry about the definition of words, just trust the administration. They’ll make sure that you know what you need to know. Let them handle the thinking. All you have to do is go watch “American Idol” or ” Keeping up With the Kardashians” and let the government worry about the important stuff.

Just kidding. I acctually threw up in my mouth a little just typing that.

Now that’s funny my friend.

‘Transparent’ = smeared into a translucent state.

Why are ANY of you surprised by this? Why? Did you really expect honesty from someone who scans the horizon like a CYLON; who plays golf while terrible things are happening; who can’t speak without a rehearsed speech or a teleprompter; who didn’t even want to do the debates during his campaign? Did you?

I will have to get a t-shirt that says ‘SO GLAD I DID NOT VOTE FOR THAT – – – – – – -‘

But it doesn’t matter. He doesn’t give a shit. And he will leave office, still not giving a shit. May he fade away into history as the worst president ever, worse than Buchanan.

David

You may rest assured that the Democratic Party hagiographers and party hacks will never let that happen. They are not big believers in factual history.

Blaster

That’s true. History is what they say it is. Anything else is conservative propaganda. But don’t take my word for it, just ask any of them. They’ll tell you the truth.

Remember, for this administration, trans-parent has a whole new meaning.

Meaning if Bradley Manning and Bowe Bergdahl had a love child….
