Shane Marks; phony Marine Recon

Shane Marks

Scotty sends us a link to his latest pretender, Shane Marks, whose Facebook page and LinkedIn profile have mysteriously changed from claiming USMC special operations to no mention of his USMC service;

Shane Marks claims

Probably because he was a Marine Corps redleg who never attended any special operations training and he was booted from the Corps as an E-1 after two and a half years. Notice that there is no reserve commitment mentioned in his discharge.

Shane Marks DD214

If you’re not proud of your military service, just don’t mention it.

MCPO NYC USN Ret.

Yeah … NAMALA pretty much tells it all!

ChipNASA

You had me at E-1/two years.
/It’s called a *clue*.
//He never had one.
///MILITARY CAREER FAIL! 😀 🙄

Hondo

Bingo. I’m guessing a punitive discharge.

IntelPOG

I for one and shocked, SHOCKED I say that this man’s middle name is Guido. Judging by the photos, I could have sworn his middle name would be Lawrence, or Chet or Chad.

2/17 Air Cav

Well, he certainly can pass for a New Jersey Guido. In fact, as soon as I saw his pic, I thought, “Freakin guido.” So, I was surprised that “Shane Guido Marks” was his name. But then I looked at his DD214 and his middle initial is J. What’s more, he entered service in Nebraska, wherever that is, not Joisey.

ChipNASA

J. = “Jerkoff”

Green Thumb

I wonder how much “meat” he picks up with his ride?

NotBuyingIt

Can someone educate me?: What’s the “(b)(6)” represent in the redacted parts of the 214?

ChipNASA

NotBuyingIt From the Internets:

” Release of Information: Archival records are open to the public. The Privacy Act of 1974 does not apply to archival records, therefore, written authorization from the veteran or next of kin is not required. However, in order to protect the privacy of the veteran, his/her family, and third parties named in the records, the personal privacy exemption of the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 552 (b) (6)) may still apply and preclude the release of some information. ”

(This is usually personally identifiable information or specific information pertaining to other things that are not legal to release like medical conditions or financial info (such as your SGLI) or sometimes the status of their separation if the info can be considered derogatory, IMHO.

Thanks. I learn something new every day.

HMCS(FMF) ret.

Due was a cannon “cocker”… enough said

Weekend Warrior in Texas

Hey… I resemble that remark.

OC

I’m sure HMCS meant “cannon cocker” in a good way. 😉

HMCS(FMF) ret.

No disrespect to those that have served honorably WW in TX – Shane was probably a “meat cocker”, if you catch my drift…

Weekend Warrior in Texas

No sweat Senior Chief, I am not that sensitive. I just wish I would have thought of that. Besides, I doubt this jerk ever pulled the lanyard on a howitzer, maybe the lanyard in his boyfriends drawers.

Marine_7002

Note the remark on his DD-214 “SNM not available for signature”.

Translation: “You’re such a shitbird and we wanted to get rid of you so quickly that we shipped your low-life scuzzy ass home before we could get your paperwork done for you to sign it. Goodbye, good riddance, and fuck you.”

rgr1480

Note the remark on his DD-214 “SNM not available for signature”.

Not always; or, is it different on retirement? My retirement 214 has that phrase.

Green Thumb

Word.

This turd will be working at “shitbags-r-us” or doing a little gay porn.

JohnE

Wonder if Nexius Nutrition knows the truth of his “distinguished” military record? They do offer military/fire/police discounts…hmmm…have half a mind to throw them an email…

ChipNASA

DO IT. ಠ_ಠ

A Proud Infidel®™

I really wonder if “Nexius Nutrition” isn’t some MLM outfit?

Animal

Another fine citizen dropped off at the Driftwood Gentleman’s club outside the front gate by the 1st Sgt in a HMMWV.

GunzRunner

He’s probably in the employ of said establishment or Tobies. I have heard that they have an excellent lunch special.

Animal

You know I’ve heard the same thing.

The Chief

I hear it beats the Lyte Bite food

Green Thumb

Turd.

Instinct

Speaking of turds, what happened yesterday with Danni-Boi??

ChipNASA

Ferom the other thread with TSO in a Hot Dog costume, There are bits and pieces but it’s completely unclear except that Danny lost either by default or judgement and MCPO said there will be an update in 10 days.

NAMALA – Navy/Marine Corps Appellate Leave Activity -APPELLATE LEAVE DEFINED
Appellate leave is the authorized absence of a service member (appellant) from the physical presence of the command, in a non-pay status, pending completion of the appellate review of their court-martial conviction where a dismissal or unsuspended dishonorable or bad conduct discharge was adjudged.

He wasn’t available for signature because they’d already sent him home as a result of a courts martial. Basically, they just mail him the DD-214 is his conviction is upheld. Hence the E-1 on the 214.

Hondo

Sounds right to me. Based on the missing time (by dates, he should have had 3 yrs 5 mo active service vice 3 yrs 1 mo – e.g., he has 4 mo “lost time”), it also looks like he spent up to 4 mo on appellate leave.

NavyCWORet

Actually, I think the lost time is from when he was UA/Deserter. Time spent on Appellant Leave is just non-paid, if I read the instructions right. Here is a great link to a summary of what Appellant Leave is:
http://www.newriver.marines.mil/Portals/17/…/Appellate%20Leave.pdf

Hondo

Link is broken, but another source I found (USAF) says much the same. Learn something new every day.

I believe there are other possibilities than UA/AWOL to explain the bad time, though. One might be that the guy got 4 mo confinement, then ended up on appellate leave awaiting final approval of his punitive discharge.

I’m willing to bet his education is a load of BS as well. Can’t find any UNCW alumni information referring to him.

Big Steve

God… not another muscle-bound, tattooed phony.
Well, at least this one actually *was* USMC in some capacity for a while. At least made it through boot and AIT, but he must have really effed up sometime after that.

The phonies that never served AT ALL, yet have wild stories of being SEALs, SF, Rangers, etc., are the ones who make me crazy.

Green Thumb

I imagine this maggot has swapped some semen with “His Gayness, The Jayness” Jay Kerwin.

2/17 Air Cav

These clowns share a few things in common. Foremost, in my view, is that they always spotlight themselves. Look at me! Look what I do! Look what I’ve done! In other words, these clowns, these bullshit artists never, ever talk or write about their unit, team, or crew as actual Vets do. Another thing they all share in common is a teenie-weenie weenie.

Shane “Jaeger” Marks? Looks to be Sponsoring himself as an ‘athlete’.

13B/92S/02M

The picture shows he has Ashley Tisdale on his google circle of friends?

DeckApe

Looks like he’s back at it. Says he’s been in the USMC since 1996 on his Facebook. The girl he’s dating looks to believe it too as she posts a lot of things about the Marine Corps and support for veterans, which is good… though I suspect he tells her he was/is a USMC recon vet.
