Robert Joseph Jones; a phony because of his bad memory
Our friends at Guardian of Valor sent us their work on this unique fellow by the name of Robert Joseph Jones. He calls himself “Pegleg” because he lost the appendage in a work accident after he left the military. Of course, it helps him sell the “disabled combat veteran” story. He insinuated himself into a group of real veterans which worked for a while. Of course, you know he had to be a Ranger, right? They tried to help him out with a GoFundMe page.
Finally, Bulldog did some checking on him and found out that he had a whole month in service; November to December 2008 – an entry level separation. When confronted in a phone conversation, RJJ, told Bulldog that he had memory loss related to the loss of his leg (who knew that your leg remembers stuff for you?) He told them he really remembers being deployed and being a Ranger;
Then they got this message from him;
Bulldog had to tell him he was lying, because he didn’t know that he wasn’t a Ranger or didn’t deploy.
His mom told him that he has Multiple Personality Disorder. I guess his mom remembers stuff that he forgot when he lost his leg. But anyway, don’t give this dude money because you think he’s a Ranger who lost his leg during a deployment. Because he’s not…unless his mom changes her story.

I spent 30 years in Psychology, my wife has spent 30 years in Psychology, neither of have ever seen a true “multiple personality”. It’s a bullshit diagnosis just like this bullshit veteran.
ever seen a Teenage girl with PMS? Multiple personalities are only the start.
I swear I saw my daughter head turn all the way around and she spoke in tongues with her brother ate all the M andM’s
Had three teenage girls going through all the hormonal puberty crap at the same time…. but let me tell you, that didn’t hold a candle to menopause. Took me years to realize that not all women are insane. Most maybe, but not all.
My late wife was going through menopause when my daughter was going through puberty. I had to light testosterone candles just to stay sane.
Got you beat… ex had her thyroid going bad (was surgically removed) and three step-daughters going though puberty at the same time. The dog and I lived in the basement for two weeks every month until the ex’s thyroid was removed.
Never knew what I was coming home to, due to her mood swings… either she wanted to kill herself or kill everyone in the world. Afterwards, she never could remember if she took her synthroid (she was a nurse), but I could tell when she missed a dose.
She can’t math the thyroid, but does take meds for bipolar issues. I once told her about a line someone here used “I call her my bride because I never know who I am going to wake up with in the morning” and she said “That’s ME!!” One of these day we’re gonna decide whether it’s gonna last or not… only been almost 37 years to date so nothing is certain.
That’s some REAL evil shit.
Dissociative identity disorder is so rare that my main prof (30 years as a practicing criminal psych) had never seen it and she interviewed some rather crazy crazies. Even if it was true, that he did have DID, he wouldn’t have two separate sets of memories any more than I would have Jonn’s memories. To have separate personalities means separate minds.
This guy is just a loser poser who is trying to milk people for money. It makes me sick.
Flagwaver, it’s “DID” now? Thank God I’ve been out of the loop and retired for years. New buzz words for phony disorders.
To all other replies, no I never had any teenage daughters, but had 4 teenage nieces. That was enough for me to say…if there is MPD, they have it!
That was from DSM-IV, and you know how they love to rename things. They’re now up to volume 5 where I believe they added in that Bush disorder that the Dems kept harping on.
One of my teachers I’m still in touch with even sent out an email to her students about some of the more absurd changes, considering excessive video game playing a mental disorder (too bad for most of the E4 mafia).
I am still in disbelief of that the term “Affluenza” is a defense to vehicular manslaughter when the accused is a 17 year old alcoholic from a rich family. They really are puttin something in the drinking water here in Texas.
My ex-wife (with whom I’m on good terms with) most likely had some sort of dissociative disorder stemming from a sexually abusive childhood, but it’s not that she had different memories. She just doesn’t have memories. She asked me one time about some things when I was stationed in Germany (A rather happy time for us). She just doesn’t remember and when we split, she does not remember her behavior. When I asked her long ago why she wanted a divorce (other than for another guy) she gave conflicting reasons and I could tell she didn’t think she was lying. Since then, she’s had a few years of counseling under her belt. She’s asked me on several occasions about different things. Things she just has no memory of. So is there a multiple personality disorder. I don’t know, I’m not a psychologist. What I know is that I was dealing with to different people.
Mike, that would not qualify as MPD or DID as they call it today but if she was sexually abused as a child, she sure knows how to block out many things in her mind. She’s been doing it for years and they can be good things as well as bad. Hope the counseling helped her.
Thank you sir. That makes a lot of sense. I suppose that explains a lot. I believe the counseling helped. She’s really a different person and I don’t mean that in the MPD way. 🙂
That sounds more like just a memory block. I forget the exact term, but it’s why I can’t remember the blast in Iraq, why my mother can’t remember anything within 2 hours of a car crash that almost killed her, and other kinds of traumatic experiences. It’s just a natural defense the mind is hard-wired with.
He also forgot his English lessons from school.
Not a sniper? No NDSM? Pffffft.
MPD? Well, I’m guessing the last two letters are accurate.
I’m also guessing his personality disorder (1) existed before he joined the military, and (2) is probably why he ended up with an ELS.
And no: I’m not buying the “memory loss” claim, either. But I guess it’s theoretically possible I could be wrong about that, too.
In any case, none of that is a valid excuse for him being a LSoS.
So I’m going to try and keep this short… Lol
I’ve been following this story for the last few days. I wonder why and how so many fellow vets and people seem to have thrown where is your 214 at out the window ??? .. I spoke to a support group for folks that have CRPS And they actually threw out two members that called this TURD Out..
Amazing what happens when you are able to see through the light also this shirt outfit grunt style never thought about asking for a 214… I can go on and on the amazing thing is two days ago was the first time I’d ever seen anything about this bozo… My new rule if they have a go-fund-me account I’m running. And last rant of the day.. I wish I could post pics I’ve found of this turd his better half (aka) wife or girlfriend is up to her nose right along with him in the interstate wire fraud. But I doubt he will ever see a day in jail…
Don’t worry, RJJ; I honestly have memories of being deployed as a space shuttle doorgunner and zapping a bunch of Zetans when they tried to take over the shuttle on the STS-112 mission. I was wounded in that space battle, so my memories is kinda hazy regarding that whole affair…///
I guess you forgot about the “alien anal probing” that you got after the battle 😉
Anyone would forget about that. Horrible day…
I still get flashbacks of the time I was tied up by a navy ensign. Boy she tied those knots tight!
My memory lapses as to what happened…I think it was from dehydration all I know is that it was a loooooong night.
I am just glad I made it out alive.
Get it, boy xD
His leg stores memories? That’s nothing new. My car remembers how to find places I’d forgotten about, and just goes right there automatically.
Are you sure he even has a mom?
Accident must have been his fault or he would have received a nice settlement to keep him busy.
This dude is the written, figurative and literal definition of weak sauce.
I think we just may have found someone who would NOT even make the APL cut.
I don’t know, GT. I think he’s a lock for the head of All Points Logistics’ workmans comp department.
I forgot about that department.
This makes me sick. I was injured in combat and have constant pain as a reminder. However, the only time I sought a handout, in my mind, was when I applied for VA benefits because I couldn’t make ends meet. I have never screwed anyone out of any money or even asked for a damn loan that I didn’t pay back.
These ass-clowns decide they served for a month before they couldn’t even hack it in Reception, probably out as a PT fail, and then claim this whole grandiose career and get money from innocent people who believe them. However, whenever an actual vet tries to get a hand-up, rather than a hand-out, they are usually called a fraud because they are “secretive” with the details.
Yeah, I can talk about how I was injured because I don’t remember a damn thing about the actual moment of injury. I know it screwed up my mind a little, and I can’t really describe why, but it’s there and I can’t change it. Doesn’t mean I necessary like to, because I’ve been openly called a coward the first time I opened up about what happened to me.
I’m sitting here with one foot across the poverty line, and these fucking posers are milking people with a lie and turning those people cold to actual vets who might need help. It pisses me off!
Sorry about the rant… it was a bad night.
Hey.. all I can say is, that you are not alone in having those nights. I do as well. It sucks, and if you got to vent.. then vent.
Rant away it’s good for the soul. Here’s what I remember about being wounded. I saw the B-40 coming out of the tree line. I said, “Oh shit”, woke up in medevac puking. Woke up in hospital. That’s it. Would have loved to been with you when someone called you a coward. I am very sorry that happened to you. “The only easy day was yesterday.” Don’t know who said it but it makes sense. Hang in there and find a safe place to talk.
That kind of happened to me, but it was for different reasons. I remember the medic putting a patch thing on my neck after all was said and done while I was laying and looking at the sky. I blinked and was on a helicopter. I blinked and was on an airplane and yawning to pop my ears (which wouldn’t stop ringing). I blinked and woke up in Germany 2 days after the plane landed.
Whatever was in that patch was really good.
Probably a Fentanyl patch.
Flagwaver when I was flown our of theater I had no idea that I had tubes coming out of my left leg I remember waking up being on a plane and Germany it sounds like you got a Fentanyl patch I was told they numbed my left-side and gave me a shot and I was off grid…. Hang In There Bro ! ! !
Never apologize for a rant here my friend.
I do not have your experience but I am sickened at the thought that honorable men and women are struggling while some fuckstick tries to get over on a pile of bullshit.
You are not a coward, anybody tells you that, fuck ’em…and you can explain it that way or have them call me and I’ll be happy to enlighten that motherfucker for you.
You are entitled to rant, and most of us are OK with that and here for you. I hope things get much, much better for you, brother.
A coward would not be able to open and talk. To whomever who called you coward is an insensitive POS (sorry if it is a close friend/family member/ etc. I know mine was.) and should not be allowed to participate in society.
“Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear, not absence of fear.” – Mark Twain
Accepting what happened and being able to open up to others in hopes for fear mastery is what makes you not a coward.
_____________
Additionally, Fuck this LSoS; hes a douche waffle. 1 month ranger… new career field?
Flagwaver… Right thier with you shitbags like this disturb the hell out of me I was injured in the sandbox. This pisses me off I’m tired of fellow brothers and sister vets being treated like crap while cons like this scam money in our name.. It’s getting old. Also until the last 3or 4 years I’ve never seen or heard or so damn many 30 day Ranger/SF warriors like what I’ve seen as of lately it’s mind blogging or blowing
Flagwaver…Sorry about your night brother. I hope they are not too often. I do understand and I wish you all the best in every regard. You say whatever you need to here. That is one of the greatest parts of being in the TAH family. We care for and uphold one another. We are a family unto ourselves.
The California Bar Association will have news on Monday afternoon that will make you feel better. Trust me.
Ain’t dat ‘da trooff!
I do hope there will be a huge post regarding this good news. It’s already lifted my spirits enough to make me do a little dance while yelling “halleluiah!”
Check my personal Facebook page.
I’ll bet he lost that leg because he got an infection from a hot tub in Florida. 😉
Maybe he can get a job in a women’s prison somewhere.
Awesome.
Damnit now I’m sitting for season 3 to go up.
sitting here* waiting for* jesus Christ this Friday is decaffeinating me faster than a green tea purge and a sauna session.
Speakin’ of Womens’ Prisons, that sorry critter looks like the type that couldn’t score in one even naked with a $100 bill taped to his forehead!
I am not a head shrinker like some of house guys, by I think I saw at least a glimpse of an underlying cause in his statement: “I want nothing more than to be an inspiration” –
Think about that for just a second.
He can always serve as a bad example.
“Youse” and “but” – stupid phone thinks it’s being helpful…
I bet this maggot knows a lot about taint.
What kind of animal is occupying the top of his head?
That pelt on his head looks like the red foxtail we used to fly off the antenna on a 32 Ford Roadster.
Another typical example of a “getting close to the end of the month and no money” haircut by the barracks barber.
It either that or transvaginal mesh.
I got one of those in Korea, by a SP4 from Alabama, who claimed he could cut hair. He gave me a bad “high and tight,” and I ran into no less than our Command Sergeant Major a few days later.
He was not happy about it, and questioned what happened.
Ya,well, I am pretty sure:
I AM SPARTACUS !!!!!!
Punch this douchenozzle in the nuts and see if that jogs his memory.
True story:
I banged my leg so hard once a few years back, I forgot how to tie my shoes and I kept putting my tee shirts on backwards … this when on for months … I sought professional help, I am better!
This guy is LEGIT!
My left leg never shuts up, even in corduroys. Always reminding me of shit that I’d like to forget.
This hoser is a waste of skin, waste of oxygen, and waste of time.
This loser is in my neck of the woods (Louisville) I do a lot of volunteer work with local vet organizations so I’ll make sure his photo and name get passed around.
