Thursday morning feel good story
This morning we begin our tour of the country from Ohio;
The homeowner, whose name and age have not been released, discovered two males inside his home. During a confrontation with the suspected burglars, the homeowner brandished a gun and fired at both of them, police said.
One suspect fled the scene. The other suspect, a 19-year-old Cleveland man identified by the county medical examiner as Joseph W. Eason, was shot.
An emergency medical crew drove Eason to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he died.
Next stop, California;
An off-duty cop shot at a burglar during a confrontation at his home in Rowland Heights.
The intruder fled the scene after the shooting at the 17000 block of Calle Aurora at around 12:18 a.m Wednesday, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said.
The burglar was trying to leave in a vehicle when the off-duty Los Angeles Police Department officer fired at the suspect. It is unknown how many shots were fired, but the the thief is not believed to have been injured.
Then to South Carolina;
“Yeah, the victim came face to face with the suspect,” Det. Rob Morell said. “The suspect kicked the door in as he was shutting the lights off and locking the door. So it was that close where he got struck in the head with the pistol.”
The homeowner managed to grab his own gun and fire a shot at the suspect as he ran off, Morell said.
Police searched the neighborhood off Archdale Drive, but did not find the suspect.

One dead that we know of.
Good for the shooter. Range time is always good time !!!
The Ohio gentleman is obviously one who has had some serious practice.
The California PO needs more range time.
The SC homeowner needs to put a hook-eye arrangement on the storm door, like I have. It’s a nice deterent, and costs about $.75 for the hook and two eyes at the hardware store.
My problem with the LA County stems from the fact that if any “civilian” started blasting away at a criminal fleeing their property they would be in jail in that part of the country. But off duty cop, that can’t hit his target is good to go.
It’s early days, that California cop isn’t out of the woods yet. It usually takes a while before the DA decides to prosecute … the fact that no one was apparently injured may allow the cop to escape without serious charges.
91A10 – read the actual article and look at the pictures – you’re whining about how an abusive, child-beating gang-banger neglects his gun? The gun is the least of that family’s problems.
Meanwhile … across town
