Sunday morning feel good stories
AW1Ed sends us our first feel good story for this Sunday morning, it’s from Virginia;
Officers said they received a call about a burglary in progress in the 100 block of Grace Drive around 10:36 p.m. When officers were traveling to the residence, they were notified there had been a shooting at the home.
The woman who fired the shot told 10 On Your Side it all played out while she was on the phone with 911 dispatchers.
“I mean, he was coming at me, and I think he was yelling, but you know, it’s one of those things were it was so fast, I don’t know, but all I knew is he was coming at me and I knew if he got past me, my daughter was in the back room,” said the woman, who asked not to be identified.
[…]
The woman said she didn’t hesitate to pull the trigger, thanks to trips to the gun range with her husband. He is a James City County police officer, who was on duty last night when the man tried breaking in.
“Had I not been able to protect myself with the gun, I don’t know what he would have done to me,” she said. “I don’t know what he would have done to my daughter, there’s no telling, but I’ll never have to find out because I stopped the situation.”
Also, you shouldn’t get between a bear cub and it’s mother either.
Chief Tango sends us two more stories, the first is from North Carolina;
A 27-year-old man suspected of a home invasion Friday evening is in the hospital after the homeowner shot him.
At 5:13 p.m., the Fayetteville Police Department was called to the 500 block of Mayview Street. Officers said the homeowner armed himself and shot the intruder as he entered the house, a news release from the Fayetteville Police Department said.
The man was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. His condition was not immediately available.
The homeowner was not injured, the release said.
The last story is from Texas;
The homeowner told deputies he found a strange man inside his home. He also told deputies that the suspect’s small caliber gun went off, hitting the suspect in the abdomen, while they were wrestling.
That suspect, 18-year-old Sergio Corona, is now in the hospital. Sheriff Cass says they plan to arrest Corona for aggravated robbery upon release.

Texas story: Sounds like another case of “Mexican holster”.
Too bad the caliber wasn’t larger, we might have had a case of cleaning out the gene pool, or at least no further pollution of the gene pool by passing on stoopid genes to the next generation.
From Texas “18-year-old Sergio Corona’s”, (Now, I want NO racial profiling assumptions made based on the name please.) “small caliber gun went off, hitting the him in the abdomen, while they were wrestling.”
See, that’s a criminal. Steals a gun but not the holster. Then won’t even invest in a concealed shoulder holster. Carrying in your waste band is a great way to sing soprano forever. And why don’t they buy holsters? Because after the crime and they toss the weapon, what will they use the holster for? Except to tell madre, “buenos días madre I gots you dis nice la tortilla bender! Fits under your arm and when you can make la tortilla
caliente delicioso every morning this will make it muy muy rápido.”
Not all Mexicans like tortillas.
