Colonel Bill Badger passes

Bill Badger

Retired colonel Bill Badger, the fellow who tackled and the wrestled the gun out of Jared Loughner’s hand after he shot several people, including Congresswoman Gabriel Giffords in Tucson Arizona four years ago, has passed according to Reuters;

Bill Badger, a retired Army colonel who was wounded in the shooting spree in the supermarket parking lot on Jan. 8, 2011, died on Wednesday at age 78 in Tucson, Arizona.

Badger succumbed to pneumonia at the Tucson Medical Center after being in failing health for several weeks, his wife, Sallie Badger, told the Arizona Daily Star.

Colonel Badger was also wounded during Loughner’s rampage that January day, but he had the presence of mind to spring to his feet and disarm the nut while Loughner attempted to reload. Of course, in the opening hours of the incident, the media was quick to report that Loughner was a veteran (he wasn’t) but little was said about the veteran who stopped him, or of the doctor who was also a veteran who saved Giffords.

A quiet hero…rest easy Colonel Badger.

The fact that a vet stopped the incident – and another saved Giffords’ life – didn’t fit the MSM’s agenda, Jonn.

RIP, Colonel Badger.

Is that a Cobra variant the COL. is standing in front of?

RIP Sir.

Just a small note. This happened 4 years ago. He died at age 78. That would make him 74 when he did it. That’s one hard core bird.

The Other Whitey

I once heard a quote, can’t remember the source (I want to say Louis L’Amour, but can’t quite remember), that went like this:

“Never pick a fight with an old man. If he’s too old to fight, he’ll just kill you.”

COL Badger obviously wasn’t too old to fight, for which neo-commie fucknuts Loughner should thank his lucky stars.

A final salute to you Sir. Rest in peace…….

Always the hero. Rest in peace Sir.

All of us here should hope that we would emulate the colonel’s valiant behavior and may he rest in peace.

However, the greatest tragedy of the event is that it unleashed a much publicized anti-gun campaign that capitalized on Giffords’ victim status. She’s a brave woman who has overcome a lot, but I believe she and her husband allowed the soulless, liberal gun grabbers and their supportive media to manipulate them and the highly emotional aspects of their experiences to harden gun laws in this country.

Duty, Honor, Country.

At 74, he should have run for cover. Instead he ran to the sound of the gun. Via Con Dios Colonel Badger.
