I’m offended.
Me too. You can’t believe some I sent for choice.
Thank you Jonn for the thread.
I also am offended. But not to the point of being Impact ARCOM offended.
My offense is only worthy of, oh let’s say, a 4th Oak Leaf Cluster to the Army Achievement Medal.
Offended, NO!
But, I can relate.
First day at Benning, we got racked out at 0400 and I had already been awake for about 48 hours. First call was 0500, Drill Sergeants came in, threw trash cans all over waking everyone up, except me…..
As I found out later, he came over to my bunk, screamed at me a few times and got no response. Then he leaned down real close and said something to me and evidently I said something back in my sleep.
I awoke suddenly with my bunk on top of me and a drill sergeant screaming at me that he didn’t want to see me the rest of the day.
From that day on, I heard the taps on their boots even when they were walking on grass.
Ozzie11B
: kind of beating, flip flops, tennis shoes and books and the sort of thing that didn’t leave marks.
“Taps on their boots”…You just gave me a shiver.
Our Flight Chief, a Tall black kid nicknamed “Peaches” from Georgia, thought it would be funny to get up in the middle of the night and walk around the dorm with his boots on….but he had pressed about 4 or 5 thumbtacks on the bottom of the toes and heels.
You *know* what noise that made… When someone peeked and saw it was him, we all playfully beat his ass. Not a real beating but a nice Air Force…”You dumbass jerk!!
Well up here in Vermont our F35 vs stank azz hippies is still creeping forward. They despise the F35 almost as much as soap.
Since to date the F35 seems only to be good for identifying politicians bought and paid for by the contractors building it – maybe for once they have a point
That is very true. But enjoy watching the hippies complain. They want condos and golf courses instead of an airbase they have been trying to get rid of the VTAG for decades.
to be fair, I hate the f-35 with a passion as well. you could upgrade the whole f-16 fleet for that much money.
And update all of the A-10s.
You could probably get a rebuild of about a dozen A-10’s for what that thing costs…
I know the tooling is gone, or so they say but still. That is a much better airframe than the F-35 ever will be.
It’s great for precision munitions but with ground pounders you need a spray and pray unit.
Which is something that the ugly old Warthog is great at !!!
Besides, something about that BRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAPPPPPP just sends chills up and down my spine !!!
Sends chills up and down the spines of Al Qaeda, the Taliban, and ISIS, too. Probably why Zero-Bama wants them killed.
I wonder if there has ever been an air to air kill with that gun…..wouldn’t THAT be something to see?
Yep. Gulf 1
http://articles.latimes.com/1991-02-08/news/mn-937_1_air-combat
Regarding the A-10 tooling, we had a big flap at Boeing about a dozen years back when some clueless manager scrapped some of the old 707/awcs tooling that was in long term storage. He figured that since the program was finished he could get rid of the 60 year old tools. Wrong! Military tooling belongs to the Government and must be saved until the aircraft have been retired.
I would bet that somewhere in some dusty old warehouse you will find enough tooling to rebuild the A-10’s.
Just say’n.
The least offensive? As in the one least likely to get your blog banned as pr0n?

My TI’s boss used a mop bucket; he would throw it around and then tell us to get back in bed because we were too slow in getting up. The lesson we learned was if SMSgt what’s-his-name starts throwing things; stay in bed and wait for the second round of noise making. I don’t know why he got so mad; we knew he was going to make us pigs in his pig flight get back in bed. We were just anticipating his orders.
In writings that Google dredged up, our favorite kick toy from the PACNORWEST claims to be paralyzed from the waist down.
I think he’s mistaken. He’s probably paralyzed from the neck up, but since his head is up his ass….
All that unaided walking in Vietnam wore him down, apparently.
His lockjaw and sore two-hole speak volumes.
I wonder if he could sue himself?
Well, isn’t that jes’ precious? Bless his heart!
Can he account for his paralysis? Was it spontaneously inflicted on him by an angry duct-taped dog? Or did it just come about by his close, personal association with the front grill of his Escalade?
You know what else speaks volumes about him? The fact that it looks like FB put him in time out again. His FB page is down.
Yeah, all of his FB comments on the WFLA website are gone now Ha Ha. ShOrTbUsWiNdOwLiCkEr has backfilled his hole, if ya know what I mean.

Was he flying around with Harrison Ford recently? He kinda sounds like Chewbacca on those nice court tapes.
Well, I wonder who complained about him. That’s strike two. Does Facebook have a policy about how many times they’ll do that?
That would be priceless.
OH, you mean whatshisface from Tigard, OR? Meh, Fa’ Qheem!
Harrison Ford was able to step up.
Cannot say the same for Bernath.
Loser.
Really? Link it, please! I need a good pick-me-up.
“Taint Boy” Matthew Beck is still at it.
Multiple PH’s, Ranger Battalion, SF, etc. But when you question his claims, you are the pussy that never served.
What a turd.
Those folks in Rigby, ID should run him out of town.
Speaking of Tatboy Beck, I went to the Rigby barber shop a week ago today for my monthly haircut.
Once again, he was a no show.
However, I did have a pretty good conversation with a couple of Korean War vets while I was in the chair. One of them was a truck driver and the other was the supply room clerk/company gofer/scrounger, so yes there are people in Idaho who don’t have to lie about their service.

I lost my wife this morning at 2:45 am. Due to liver and kidney failure. I only had her for nine years. She was such a class act!
I am just numb with grief!

AirCav, I am so sorry this happened. My condolences to you and yours.
Please accept my sincere condolences.
Deepest Condolences Claw…
Damn..I meant 3/17 Air Cav
So very sorry for your loss…
The nine years I had with her were the best time of my life. I felt like we had been together forever! In saying that, at this time in my life, I don’t think I could put myself out there again. I’m just not sure the good times outweigh the the possible grief that could be lurking around the corner!
Prayers 3/17. Grieve. Take time. You will bounce back but for now think of the good memories and gently come down from being the care giver for so long. I miss mine of 30 years terribly but joy has flown into my life. You have my contact info. Will be glad to play Chaplain and punch your card anytime.
3/17 – Don’t think of the future right now. Grieve, heal and sometime in the future consider what to do. Right now the wounds are too raw.

If you need anything, or nothing at all….call. Semper Fi.
I’m very sorry to hear this news.
God bless you and Godspeed to her.
We can never know what the plans are for us, but it doesn’t make it any easier when things like this happen.
Prayers for all of you my friend.
Just got finished with my stepdaughter and her husband. Moms been dead 16-17 hours.. Artist/photo husband who makes zero dollars, asked me how much his wife was going to get. Me, we have right of survivorship. Meaning, after I die whats left is. Split up. Fucking, right wing asshole
I don’t get it, I’m pissed, I’m angry, how in the fuck can someone come at me about money. At a timeline this?
Oh, and I did not mention I’m also, very, very drunk. Never post when your drunk! Fuckit, I’m a breaking the rules!
I meant left wing asshole, but what the fuck Im drunk and on vacation!
Post whatever you want big guy, joke them if they cant take a fuck. People can be pricks, that my friend is a fact.
Hit me up if YOU need anything.
Post whatever lets you get through this, AirCav. You’ve had a rough enough time.
And tell that asshole stepson-in-law to go pound sand. What he did and said was grossly inappropriate and he had no right to do that.
I’m with Ex-PH2 on this. Un-freakin’-believable that that worthless slime of a stepson-in-law would even THINK of mentioning that at ANY time, much less right now! I’m so sorry you had to deal with that! I presume your stepdaughter wasn’t present at the time? If she was, I hope she told her husband where to get off.
Stepdaughter was there she had to explain right of survivorship to Mr. Artist. The whole thing was talked about before they got to my home. Stepdaughter is a only child. You can guess the rest?
Tell him (or have someone else tell him) that he is lucky to still be able to walk after a stunt like that.
Yep. Agree with all the others. You come here any time you want, tell us all about it, if that’s what you need at the moment.
Meanwhile, task a friend to keep him away from you until some time has passed.
That last is very sound advice. Going to jail for punching out some jerk that desperately needs it is . . . inconvenient. It’s generally best to avoid same.
I pray that you can find the peace you need during this time. I am so sorry for your loss.
3/17 Air Cav,
Sorry for your loss.
I am so sorry for your loss. I have been married for ten years and can only think of how devastated I would be to lose her and I know that doesn’t come close to the reality.
My prayers and my heart go out to you.
My Condolences 3/17.
My thoughts are with you. I can’t imagine.
My deepest condolences, brother. Prayers to you and may your lovely wife find warmth and peace.
My deepest and sincerest condolences. If she’s half as nice as you in these forums, she’s by the side of God now for sure.
3/17 Air Cav…Brother, I am so very sorry to hear that your wife has passed. God bless and keep you. I pray for His comfort and peace to rest on you. Let us know anything you need or we can do to help. I know my words are small comfort and sound hollow. Just know you are in the thoughts and hearts of all here.
3/17 Air Cav: We are all just passing through this world. As we do, some of us are blessed to connect with another in a way that is eternal. I cannot explain it but I know that it is true. I wish you peace and divine comfort.
Just came back after a weekend off – sad news. Please accept all our condolences and sympathies. The pain will never lessen but you will eventually be able to handle it better; just hang in there until that day comes.
I am really, really sorry to hear this, bro. I would be happy to communicate with you if you want to talk. About your precious wife, or anything. I help folks when I can, and I don’t let people down.
Jonn can give you my email addy.
Stay strong brother.
Sorry to hear of your loss, 3/17! Let us know how we may help, bro. Sincere condolences and prayers out for you and yours.

The ol’ Blobfish is still up to his BS with his ex,http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/rnr/4888180969.html
Disgusting piece of shit.
“Blobfish” Dennis Chevalier (GH!) is one malevolent Sad Sack POS of a Santorum-frosted dingleberry on a buck-toothed inbred rented Swamp Donkey’s ass!
I can only imagine he and the rest of the Dutch Rudder Gang (to include Commander Phil Monkress of All-Points Logistics) are singing Karaoke tonight at their favorite bar: Pappa Dildos.
And the tune of the night is: “Brown-Eyed Dudes and Red Grenadine”.
I flagged it.
I’ve been flagging his posts, with the help of some allies, for the past 2 days.
Please flag that post, as well as any other Dennis (Denny) Howard Chevalier post that he has up there. Word has it that he gets PISSED when his posts successfully get flagged.
Flagged again.
Which is what he needs.
This link still needs more votes… via clicking on “prohibited” on the upper left section of the screen…

Completely made up as the folks here clearly indicated that those people that committed suicide did it by their own hand… with their own decision… they committed suicide because they decided to, and not because anyone “forced” them to.
As far as this being a blog with a body count? Well, Dennis (Denny) Howard Chevalier counts as 2 or 3 people. How’s that for a “body count”?
Like his “Yahell” screed, his “Internet World of the Damned” is yet another butthurt moment resulting from his getting his ass handed to him on the internet.
I simply cannot understand why he is drawing additional attention to his self. Anyone with half a brain cell that reads his CL rant’s has to only Google his name and read the whole story about him.
Seems the only allies he can garner are his fellow SV buddies like Birdbrain, ShRtBuSWiNdoWlICkeR, and Psul of the “Ballsack”, and I would like to know the publisher that would even think about publishing his story.
It’s a matter of “control” for him.
He’s trying to do “battlefield” preparation in case future women, considering him as a date, do that research. He wants to identify his posts there as that of someone else.
In his personal ads, he talks about the “crazy terrorists” at this aint hell. Dennis (Denny) Howard Chevalier knows that research will be done. He’ll point to his blog and to his CL posts as his “counter argument.”
He’ll identify “This Aint Hell” with what he talks about in “YAHELL” and “Internet of the Damned.” Yahell, like “Internet of the Damned,” in the future, is nothing but a bunch of pages of his screed… which he’d attach to his blog… and even get “copyrighted” in order to get into the Library of Congress… to give himself some credence.
The man is narcissistic and will continue with his games.
Come on TheBesig….we know you bought his books, both of them, and had them autographed. :-s)
But he’ll be happy as the new chew toy was a CAP too. But he didn’t fly Compass Call 130’s like Chevy and he wasn’t a LtCol/Private (or was it Corporal before TSG, a volunteer pretender org, kicked him out).
Time for Basic Training “Cool Story Bro” …. (This is why fakers are always outed, they never know about real vet’s “CSB”) We were in Basic in Lackland and we were *always* getting our asses handed to us for not being able to get down stairs and on the pad in 5 minutes and in formation right after revile sounded. It went off at 4 am. We got wise and started prepping our clothing and such as much as we could the night before. The TIs yelled at us for having our nasty stinky feet on *their floors* and we couldn’t get off our bunks without having them on. That made getting up and getting dressed a chore so many of us learned to get up and get dressed on our bunks, rolling around, with the last thing, swinging our legs over the edge, and putting on our boots and running down stairs. Not the most efficient way to get dressed from your bed and from underwear and tee shirt to full uniform and then downstairs in 5 minutes and everyone in place, and ready to go, all 50 of us, almost impossible. We thought we’d get smart and all get up about 5 or 10 minutes early and get dressed and then all get back in bed and then when revile sounded, we’d all run downstairs and be in place and fool our TI. We did that once, on a Friday. When revile sounded on that Saturday morning, we all jumped out of bed and the lights came on and there were all three of our TIs standing there and the doorways of our barracks watching as we all jumped out of bed dressed and ready to go. They had kept our of sight until the last minutes. WHAT THE FLYING FUCK ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING?!?!??!?? Needless to say we got our asses handed to us. You know what we did for the next 2 hours? GOOD NIGHT LADIES!!! (lights off and we all undressed, stowed ourgear as fast as possible, and scrambled into bed. Pretend to sleep and… Read more »

Yup if 82nd Airborne goes 82 days without an accidental death its a 3 day pass for the Division. The sad part is it rarely happens.
When I was in the 101st, if we went 101 days without an AWOL (division-wide), we got a day off. It did happen occasionally.
At USCG Lor Sta, St.George Island, if the sun comes out, liberty is granted. A pal of mine did a one year tour there and took a photo out his room window every day for that year. I swear they all looked exactly the same. If you thing it is gray in Seattle, you have never been to the Privolovs.
1st and 2nd ID have it made in such a contest
You should have been at Campbell in 1973/74 (like I was) when half the Division had been recruited as Unit of Choice soldiers.
Not a week went by that half the soldiers slated for weekend duty were present for duty. The rest were AWOL back into the hills of Kentucky and Tennessee because the recruiters had told them they “could go home every weekend”.
There are several good stories about the kid that was trotted out as the prize pony/20,000th soldier to fill out the Division and the number of times he was declared AWOL before he was shitcanned.
Good Times.
Today is Friday 06 March 2015.
On this date, in 1836, the Alamo fell.
God bless Texas!

“BALLAD OF THE ALAMO” Lyrics By: PAUL FRANCIS WEBSTER Music By: DIMITRI TIOMKIN In the southern part of Texas, In the town of San Antone, There’s a fortress all in ruins That the weeds have overgrown. You may look in vain for crosses And you’ll never see a one, But sometimes between the setting And the rising of the sun, You can hear a ghostly bugle As the men go marching by. You can hear them as they answer To that roll call in the sky: Colonel Travis, Davy Crockett And a hundred and eighty more; Captain Dickenson, Jim Bowie, Present and accounted for. Back in 1836, Houston said to Travis: “Get some volunteers and go Fortify the Alamo.” Well, the men came from Texas And from old Tennessee, And they joined up with Travis Just to fight for the right to be free. Indian scouts with squirrel guns, Men with muzzle loaders, Stood together heel and toe To defend the Alamo. “You may ne’er see your loved ones,” Travis told them that day. “Those that want to can leave now. Those who’ll fight to the death, Let ’em stay.” In the sand, he drew a line With his army sabre. Out of a hundred and eighty five, Not a soldier crossed the line. With his banners a-dancing In the dawn’s golden light, Santa Anna came prancing On a horse that was black As the night. Sent an officer to tell Travis to surrender. Travis answered with a shell And a rousing Rebel yell. Santa Anna turned scarlet, “Play Deguello,” he roared. “I will show them no quarter. Everyone will be put to the sword.” One hundred and eighty five Holding back five thousand. Five days, six days, eight days, ten; Travis held and held again. Then he sent for replacements For his wounded and lame, But the troops that were coming Never came, never came, never came. Twice he charged, then blew recall. On the fatal third time, Santa Anna breached the wall And he killed them, one and all. Now the bugles are silent And there’s rust on… Read more »

I had to Google that, ’cause I never heard of it.
nice one

I applaud what you do, especially exposing stolen valor. I have noticed that there has not been a peep over one of the biggest stolen valor thieves. Hillbilly Clinton, claiming she arrived in Bosnia under gun nd artillery fire. What a crock.
She is a pathological liar, an oxygen thief of the first order, and digs other chicks.
She’s got a TON of baggage.
‘Twas discussed many moons ago.
Maybe she discussed it in an email.
3/17 Air Cav , my prayers for your paece of soul. Be joyful for the time you her had together. Remember her in the good times. She does not hurt anymore. Jor
Amen.
This is a VA rant and need of opinions. I have had a nurse assigned as a my primary care giver because my Doctor quit. First she reduces my pain med and changes my muscle relaxant. I question her why ? No answer. She has me sign a pain conctact. Then when they my refill request on the desk for a week and I am forced to use Oxty because I am out of Hydro,It is my fault. This time there is a big delay with the Resupply Center in Tenn.. I piss hot for oxty . She is has reduced my meds and forced me into stay at home and do nothing status ans cliams I broke the Contract. Throughts ? Joe
Punch in the Throat (PITT) Maneuver.
email your local congressman and both senators … cc your local news station
Joe, I’m not a doctor, and I’m not familiar with your medical situation, but my first reaction is that you’re being ill-served medically. If I had chronic pain, I’d want to go to a pain-management specialist. To me, going to a nurse practitioner for pain management is kind of like asking Jiffy Lube to rebuild your transmission.
Do you have options for your medical care other than the VA? I’m lucky enough to have good health insurance, and a primary care doctor whom I’ve seen for years, and whom I like and trust. It’s stories like this that have discouraged me from enrolling in the VA health care system, even though I’m eligible.
If the VA is your only option, though, I’ll bet there are folks here who can suggest how to navigate the VA system to get better care. I hope things work out for you, better than they are now.
Joe,
I can understand your VA rant. What I can tell you is that your nursing staff can not do anything with your medication. It takes a DR to do that. The nursing staff can make recommendations, but that is all.
If your Primary Care Physician left, then it is required of the VA to assign you a new one, not a member of the nursing staff.
Patient advocacy at your local VA hospital should be able to address your concerns, if not, a letter to the director should gain attention, and a letter to a congressman would be next.
Thing is, I have had a lot of dealing with the VA. I was discharged under the correct name, but the wrong SSN, and I played HELL getting that stuff straight.
Thing I can tell you is this: It Takes Time! Don’t expect anything to happen overnight. Took me darn near 7 years to straighten my stuff up, and if anyone asks to see, I have 3 DD214’s, 2 DD215’s, and a DD214 administratively reissued.
My Honorable Discharge still has the wrong SSN, and they say I can’t get another one of those, but, so what, as long as my military records and VA records match.
To make matters worse, I was in the Virginia National Guard before I went Active Duty, LOL.
Now tell me, you really got problems with military records? LOL
Dealing with the VA takes time, but it can be done, and there are many programs that can help you. DAV, VFW, Am. Leg., AmVets, etc…
Don’t give up, keep plugging away, and keep after their hind ends about twice a week so they don’t forget who you are.
AND #1 – a VA nurse IS NOT a Primary Care Physician.
Oh, and by the way, the VA also had me listed as a WWII vet because I had the Army of Occupation medal.
I served in Berlin from Jan 89 to Dec 90.
Darn, didn’t know that made me a WWII vet, I am pretty good looking for my age. LOL
Well, not sure about that. My late wife was treated for years in a civ pain practice by a nurse practioner. She could do most meds on her own, incl oxy, hydro, duragesic, etc. There was a MD in the practice but she rarely saw him.
Joe, courage. When it comes to sked/class 2’s, the Docs are suspicious and leery. Dont piss them off or you’ll only get 2 salt tablets and a “drive-on!”
True statement sj.
A lot of NP’s are allowed to prescribe meds, and I have had a few VA NP’s, but those were at CBOC’s and regulated by my VA Docs, and could not make a final decision without DR approval.
VA is just a bit different than civilian issues.
Just as Military is different than VA, and anyone getting out, I beg of you to get a hard copy of ALL of your medical records at each duty station and hand carry them with you for the rest of your life.
Just a quiet suggestion from just a grunt.
The DAV has veterans’ service officers for this kind of thing, to help get messes straightened out. Give them a call. There must be one in your area.
And in regard to the prescriptions, demand to see a new doctor. Not all NPs are as good as they should be.
Do not take ‘No’ for an answer.
“DO NOT TAKE “”NO”” FOR AN ANSWER” That is the VERY BEST that anyone can tell anyone dealing with the VA.
THANK YOU!
Call the Director of the VA.
If that does not work, file against her license with the state.
That pisses the VA off royally as they believe that they are immune from state oversight (federal preemption) even though practitioners and clinicians ARE REQUIRED to hold a license through A state.
It is a long process, no doubt, but it will force their hand. Other than that, go to an outside provider.

My troubles started after my 1st stroke and being assinged to the Heart clinic. Further my problem I moved and now have to use the Tulsa Outpatient clinic. Retorical Question, why does Tulsa , MUCH bigger than Muskogee have a Outpatient Clinic instead of a Medical Center ? I asked the PN to see a Othro Doctor and she refused to pass the request.,so I asked the deak rec to request an Orthro appointment and nothing. I have been promised a Real Doctor for the past 2 visits. This lady is my guess from India. She does not answer questions about why she is changing meds, nor does listen to my respontonses and needs. I have been in the system since 72 and know how work within the system. I have been to the Pain Mangement classes. This is the worst the treatment I have ever been subject to. Any Jags familar with pain contract. My understanding is if one side breaks the contract then the contract is null and void. SWorry about being a drama queen. I have been told by phone that my Hydro is being reduced and possibly cut off. Pissed off , No I am boiling mad. Joe
What I said here, Joe.

Get the DAV working for you. That’s their job.
Our new resident liberal contributor, Commissar, sure gets around. I just came across a comment he made on The Smoking Gun about the Michael Brown case.
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/buster/darren-wilson/ferguson-perjuryfest-786930
Good catch, Hack. The more I see of this Lars and his scribblings, the more I believe that liberalism is indeed a mental disorder.
Ain’t that the truth! For many of them, it is simply their inability to think linearly and their denial of how that can negatively impact their lives if they aren’t careful.
With lars the dim, it’s worse than just being a liberal. He’s convinced that he is somehow superior to everyone he runs into, based on nothing other than he just ran into them.
If he’s as offensive to other total strangers as he was here on the ‘Manning’ thread – so smug and opinionated that his fecal deposits have no odor – he’s got a problem with his ego. It’s inflated beyond all retrieval.
In other words, he’s Wickre with a working liver and a spell/grammar check?
Yes, and vaguely human – IF he ever comes down off his high horse about himself.
I’m sure he’s just a smug little conceited college boy who’s been cuddled and coddled all his life by “Helicopter Parents” who were MUCH more concerned about his feelings and being his pal than they were about teaching him about reality and the real world, now he buys the crap fed to him by pot-headed pony-tailed Birkenstock-wearing freeze-dried hippie “Professors” that have never lived or worked outside of a college campus their entire adult life. I’m sure that’s why he’s the smug, arrogant, snot-nosed, prejudiced little drivel-spouting container of feculence he is!
I should have clicked the link first. little Lars claims to be at UC Bersekely, thus I feel that my hypothesis has been substantiated!
Check him out…
http://berkeley.academia.edu/LarsTaylor
Look at his interests. I suspect this guy is the epitome of Berkeley lefty thought and activism.
A walking cliche.
That’s very strange. He’s an undergrad vesting his time in leftist theories of government, but he has no papers? Not even a term paper? That’s quite peculiar. Geez, he even looks as smug as his comments.
Yes, he is a poster child for the 10 most useless graduate degrees, too, and the top 2 of those are (wait for it) Marketing/Market Research, and Human Resources/Personnel Development.
OK, on a lighter note of open thread — joke of the day, comments? I thought it was funny.
A mother brings her little boy a baloon. He blows it up and starts flicking it all
around the house with his finger.
His mother tells him to stop it as he is liable to break something. The boy continues.
“Johnny!” mom screams, “knock it off, you’re going to break something.”
Hoping to play with his balloon, he goes into another room and starts again. He gives
it one final flick and it lands in the toilet.
About this time, mom gets the urge, a diarrhea run! She barely makes it to the toilet
in time an sploosh.
When she’s finished, she looks down and can’t believe what she is seeing. Diarrhea
everywhere! But what the hell is that big brown thing in the middle?
Concerned, she called the doctor and explained what she was seeing, but he is baffled and
says he will come right over.
When he arrives, he gets on his knees and takes a good, long look at the thing.
Finally, he takes out his pen and sort of touches it to see what it might be and “POP!”
The balloon explodes, diarrhea is everywhere, on him, the walls, the cieling, etc…
“Doctor! Doctor! Are you alright?” the woman asks.
He says… “I’ve been in this business for over 30 years, and this is the first time
I have ever SEEN a fart.”
Thank you.
I really needed the laugh.
Deep breath..again..again

This goes great with my thin mints and coffee.
This link goes to a series of early color photographs, mostly by a French photographer who took a lot of WWI photos of soldiers.

There is also a photograph of the last Emir of Bukhara.
Those were extremely interesting, thank you for the link.
From the TAH Department of Good News:
Worldwide ticket sales for the movie American Sniper were, prior to this weekend, pushing 1/2 billion dollars! The production budget was less than 60 million. The movie caused a resurgence in book sales and, in a related item, everyone continues to despise Jimmy Janos.
Now THAT is good news!
I love hearing good news, that made my day!!
Took my grandson to see it Saturday.
I want to take this time to thank you all for your kind words. It makes me proud to be able to stand as a equal with such fine group of people!
Again, thank you so much for your support!
Steve
And we’re proud to have a good man like you here
@3/17 Air Cav
I know it was said before, but please, please let us know if there is anything you need to help you through this very sad time.
We will help you in anyway possible.
Sending you light and love to help ease your pain.
I’ll add to what Jonn and Toasty have said … if there’s anything anyone in the group can do for you, don’t hesitate to let us know.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend.
My wife’s dad called me this morning. He is 92, sharp as a tack. He is also a WWII vet.
We had a conversation about the visit by my stepdaughter and her hubby the starving artist/photographer. Pops is going in tomorrow to change his will.
Sucks to be them!
Sounds more than reasonable.
Awesome 3/17! Keep thinking good thoughts and memories. It’ll take time but will happen.
I missed this comment earlier today.
Keep hanging tough, amigo. Let us know if/how we can help.
Remember those discussions regarding what to do about TG people and bathroom facilities?

http://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/relationships/planet-fitness-cancels-womans-membership-after-she-reports-transgender-woman-in-locker-room/ar-AA9uYW9
You have to ask why Planet Fitness did not see this coming and provide a solution to this problem before it arose.
And for that matter, how does one determine if some male member of a club like PF is not just claiming to be transgender so that he can get into the women’s locker room, because he’s really a Peeping Tom?
No one is addressing this issue. I think it’s time they did.
PF saw it coming, they just wanted the press.
On a separate note, here it is 7 March and I just finished mowing the yard. MOWING the freaking yard in the first week of March!
I got two things to say – God bless Texas, and I gotta feeling that this summer is going to suck.
Hack Stone ponied up a pint of American generated O Negative to the American Red Cross today. That means, by federal law, Paul cannot have his death squad whack me for the next 24 hours. And with clicks moving ahead one hour at 02:00 Sunday morning, The Gang That Couldn’t Spell Straight will be totally confused.
Anyone have a good book about Joe Hooper? The only book I found on Amazon had enough negative reviews to turn me off.
@ BRIAN, Et Alii:
Joe Hooper was a real hero!
It’s sad that he died so young and so tragically.
I never knew the man, but I’m proud to say he was in the 101st Airborne, and so was I.
He got the Medal of Honor for his actions while serving in the 101st Airborne Division at Hue during the 1968 Tet Offensive.
He also got a battlefield commission, and even though Medal of Honor recipients are exempted from further combat, he volunteered to return to Viet Nam and serve once more with the 101st Airborne.
Unfortunately, some years later, he suffered a fatal injury when he got drunk and fell at his apartment (down stairs? from a balcony? I can’t remember the details).
Some of you may get a laugh out of this bunch of predictions that failed. I know I did. Here’s the link to the full list: http://wikibin.org/articles/failed-predictions.html Note that Bill Gates said he’d never make a 32-bit operating system. Most computers now have 64-bit systems. Mine is practically an antique at 32. Anyone besides me remember thinking 16K RAM was hot stuff? Computers * “There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home.” — Ken Olson, president, chairman and founder of Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC), maker of minicomputers, arguing against the PC in 1977. (See for historical context.) * “I have traveled the length and breadth of this country and talked with the best people, and I can assure you that data processing is a fad that won’t last out the year.” — The editor in charge of business books for Prentice Hall, 1957. * “640K ought to be enough for anybody.” or “No one will need more than 637 kilobytes of memory for a personal computer.” are two variants of the same quote, often misattributed to Bill Gates in 1981. Gates has repeatedly denied ever saying this, and he points out that it has never been attributed to him with a proper source. In fact, the memory limitation was due to the hardware architecture of the IBM PC. * “But what… is it good for?” — IBM executive Robert Lloyd, speaking in 1968 about the microprocessor, the heart of today’s computers. * “We will never make a 32 bit operating system.” — Bill Gates Radio * “The wireless music box has no imaginable commercial value. Who would pay for a message sent to no one in particular?” — Associates of David Sarnoff responding to the latter’s call for investment in the radio in 1921. * “Lee DeForest has said in many newspapers and over his signature that it would be possible to transmit the human voice across the Atlantic before many years. Based on these absurd and deliberately misleading statements, the misguided public … has been persuaded to purchase stock in his company …” — a… Read more »

That being said an easy business in today’s market IMO would be one taking advantage of amnesty, green energy, and health care all at once. Something like signing all applicable people up for a fee on the back-end(IE Client gets it for free, but government pays). Add in signing those people up for bank accounts,so you can take your cut monthly automatically plus take a cut from sign up bonus, and you have yourself a serious money maker. Perhaps hook these people up with Section 8 or landlord for a fee.
I’m completely against these things, but it’s increasingly harder not to take advantage of the current political climate with the GOPe selling us out in order to make money off these obvious ideas.
Yes, and I wondered if a 128-bit CPU would ever be built for general use, as in you or me at our desks at home. In looking that up, the answer is ‘not the immediate future’ because the 64-bit processor is sufficient for most daily needs.
IF the quantum computer is ever developed it will use qubits, according to one report. But I won’t need something like that because my input is so low-key.
If at some point in the future, the need for a wider frame than 64 becomes necessay, it will be developed.
I’m clearly not on your level, but as games become more physics intensive I would think that a faster processor would be necessary. Graphics card used to be seriously outdated after 1 year, but I’m still running 1080p on a 55in screen everything maxed with just a single 560ti. Times have changed. Also for basic functions most people have more computer than they really need, and streamlined systems in the hands of pros are already running those functions with outdated equipment.
What about financial software running heavily CPU intensive models? IMO as people develop chips for that it will be passed onto normal consumers. Hell those same financial companies will probably make a bundle when the people they’re buying processors from let them know they’ve developed a product for mass consumption.
Also IIRC Sony did a firmware update to prevent people from using PS3s linked together as a semi makeshift supercomputer. My rambling point being that I believe sooner is much sooner rather than later. I believe computers are still in their infancy. Both a scary and exciting though depending on how much freedom and privacy is sacrificed.
“Why would I want to buy stock in a company that’s selling their software to the government. Who the hell names their company Microsoft anyway? It sounds like a tiny limp dick.”
– Me. As a dumb PO3 in 1988 at my first duty station.
Here’s another failed prediction:
* “To love and to hold, til death do us part.”
-nbcguy54ACTUAL, three wives ago.
What about the “obey” part of the marriage vows?
Total failure on that!!
36 years and counting on mine.
Luckily it’ a fail on both sides of ours… 36.5 and counting – she’s still on probation, though, so who knows.
First compuer (late to the game) 386SX with an extra cost 25Mb hard drive. My father beat me to it by a long way, with an 8086 (XT) processor and a full-height 5.25″ Floppy drive.
My dog just went outside and dropped a huge, steaming pile of Phil Monkress.
Joke: Who smells like anal queef, smokes beef and is a confirmed thief?
Answer: Commander Phil Monkress of All-Points Logistics.
Just look at him. Old pic, but “tells the story”.
Is the answer wrong?:
High, fat and stressed.
