Friday morning feel good story

| March 6, 2015

Our first story comes from Indiana where you don’t need a restraining order if you have a gun;

Investigators say a mother feared for her life when she shot and killed her ex-boyfriend early Wednesday morning.

Police identified the ex-boyfriend Thursday as 34-year-old Anthony Santura Smith of Indianapolis. Investigators said Smith had not lived in Indiana very long and is originally from Virginia.

Police said they were called been called to the woman’s unit at the Lexington Green Apartments in the 5800 block of West 25th Street in Speedway before for domestic issues between her and her ex-boyfriend. The 911 call she made this time, though, was different.

She told dispatchers her ex-boyfriend, Smith, had kicked in her door. With her two young daughters – both under the age of 10 – asleep in the next room, she felt she had to shoot him.

In Louisiana, Vontrail Walker, wanted on a peeping Tom warrant, evades a homeowner he victimized, but not the cops;

A resident heard a noise in the hallway outside his bedroom, grabbed his gun and fired at Walker, who ran away, the report says.

The victim identified Walker, who lives less than a quarter-mile away at his grandmother’s house, deputies said. When investigators went to the house, Walker jumped from his bed and began attacking them, the report says.

Deputies used a stun gun on Walker and then handcuffed him but he got away from them and ran into a wooded area behind the house, the report says. He was captured shortly after and admitted to the burglary, the report says.

She should have gotten a restraining order, because that would have stopped him!!

Now he’s stopped and won’t start, again, and the woman and her girls are safe. That’s the best feel good story ending you can get.

bullshyt, how many times do they obey a restraining order? damned few!!

“Deputies used a stun gun on Walker and then handcuffed him but he got away from them”

Yep, there’s one of many reasons that I tell soft-headed people when they wail about a police shooting, “why didn’t they just. . . . “, because “just” don’t always work.

ANd the world is a more peaceful place, beginning now.

B Woodman…Roger that brother! I hope after he got away and they recaptured him in the woods, he looked like he was dragged by his feet. As in, they wore his ass out with their night sticks when they got him. “This is for making me run!” “Yea, and this is for making me tear my uniform and fall in the dirt you SOB! Take that and that and that!!”
