Just ordered it off Amazon. Another good book is “Why didn’t you get me out?” By Frank Anton. Had to hide it from my Drill Sergeants so they wouldn’t murder me with an axe, and it was well worth it to hide.
Just ordered it off Amazon. DITTO!!!
DAMN! Three Silver Stars, Five Bronze Stars (3 with V), and Three Purple Hearts!!

Got my copy at Barnes & Noble last week. Damn good reading
Downloaded to my Kindle. We Navy types are high-tech like that.
Call me old school Army…I got mine in stone tablets.
*grunts*
Old school Army? This is an “A”, this is….do try to keep up.
The book is now on my get list.
All honor and respect to Mr. Albrecht and those that stood with him, ground and air, American and Montgnard.
KWQC also deserves kudos for a mini doc well done.
It’s in my local BX, buying it this weekend.
Sorry to be picky, but KWQC is in Davenport Iowa, not Chicago. That is about 200 miles west of Chi town.
On the other side, has anyone dealt with AMMUNITION DEPOT? Reliable? If this is out of line, please forgive.
I got the book for my birthday and just started reading it last night. It should be interesting to contrast it against the book I just finished reading, The Outpost.
