Kayla Mueller’s parents notified of her death

| February 10, 2015

Kayla Mueller

As ISIS said the other day, Kayla Mueller is dead. ISIS’ story was that she was killed by a Jordanian airstrike, but my sense is that ISIS murdered her on video, however, because of the backlash from the video of the death of the Jordanian pilot, they decided to kill her another way in the media.

The White House said that Mueller’s family received a private message from her captors over the weekend and the information contained in that communication was authenticated by the U.S. intelligence community. It was not immediately clear how and when Mueller died.

“We are heartbroken to share that we’ve received confirmation that Kayla Jean Mueller, has lost her life,” Carl and Marsha Mueller said in a statement.

Mueller had been working in a hospital helping injured Syrian refugees and then felt drawn to Syria by her faith. She worked for the humanitarian aid agency Support to Life.

President Barack Obama said that Mueller, who was an aid worker who assisted humanitarian organizations working with Syrian refugees, “epitomized all that is good in our world.”

“No matter how long it takes, the United States will find and bring to justice the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla’s captivity and death,” the president said.

Yeah, well, we’ll see won’t we.

Sad, but, obvious.
I think that ISIS was responsible for JFKs death as well.
At least that’s what I heard Brian Williams report.

3E9

I looked at the Zapruder film again and I swear that’s Brian Williams that jumps on the back of the car with Mrs. Kennedy after the shots.

Firebombing leaves the land useful a bit quicker than radiation….but you still get that satisfying total destruction outcome.

Seconded on the firebombing.

I’ll go with that!

Ooooh Baby. Get you’re MIRV on. Like getting your swerve on but BETTER!!

“No matter how long it takes, the United States will find and bring to justice the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla’s captivity and death.” Shouldn’t we be assigning these empty assurances numbers by now? And where does he get off calling her by her first name? Did he know her personally?

Bad things happen to good people. Sometimes, bad things happen to good people at the hands of bad people. So, a good plan would be, there Baracka, to kill the bad people in order that more good people will live. Out.

UpNorth

Sounds like Ø is determined to send the Feebs to Syria to arrest ISIS and bring them to trial.

2/17 Air Cav

CNN will likely be there first, gather evidence, and the FBI can request it later–about a year later. Good plan.

UpNorth

Then Holder can tell us that he has two regrets, not taking our guns from us and not sending in the Feebs right away.

dutch508

I will believe Barry when I see it happen.

““No matter how long it takes, the United States will find and bring to justice the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla’s captivity and death,” the president said.”

Hmmmm. Where oh where have I heard this before? Can’t put my finger on it. Hmmm.

RIP, Kayla. From all I’ve heard about you, your death proves the maxim that the good die young.

What was this administration’s response to Ambassador Stevens’ murder in 2012 during the Benghazi, Libya, terrorist attack?

I’ll take “Meaningless Platitudes by the Obama Administration for 400 Alex.

2/17 Air Cav

Well, at least he kept his promise, made at West Point in May 2014, to focus on rescuing the Nigerian school girls from Boka Haram “right away.” Wait. Forget that.

Richard

“bring them to justice” – is that what we want?

I think that this president is still confused about the difference between crime and war. Crime has right and wrong, legal and illegal, cops and courts, arrest and conviction.

War is different than that.

UpNorth

Well, he actually did compare ISIS to gangbangers roaming a large city shooting people, during his interview with Vox and Ezra Klein.
So, I’d posit that he doesn’t have a clue.

PigmyPuncher

The war I trained for was very different than the war POTUS not only didn’t train for, but still calls workplace violence….

Hondo

Yeah, Slick Willie had the same kind of confusion. He also treated terrorists making war on the US as a LE matter.

9/11 was the result.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

“No matter how long it takes, the United States will find and bring to justice the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla’s captivity and death,”

said this guy: it also indicates the degree to which whatever ideology they are operating off of, it’s bankrupt.

If you can’t identify the ideology of the Islamic State what makes you think you can find the terrorists behind this young woman’s death?

Sparks

God bless her family now.

“No matter how long it takes, the United States will find and bring to justice the terrorists who are responsible for Kayla’s captivity and death,” the president said.

I’ve heard that and similar from this cowardly, Muslim apologist, Obama until I could throw up. Most disingenuous, uncaring, unsympathetic man to ever hold his office. In truth, he could care less about Kayla’s death or her family.

Pinto Nag

I know I spend an awful lot of time under a rock, but I don’t remember hearing about this woman until AFTER the terrorists said she was dead? Or was her kidnapping in the news?

Pinto Nag

Thanks, Jonn. You think she’s been dead that long? I don’t wish to be gruesome on a public forum, but if the terrorists had killed her, wouldn’t they have made the video public, like they did with the other hostages they murdered?

Commissioner Wretched

I think Jonn hit it on the head in another thread, where he said Miss Mueller has been dead for a while but, after the enormous backlash against ISIS from the Jordanian pilot burning, they couldn’t release anything of her execution. So they made up her death as part of the bombing run and the rest is propaganda.

Perry Gaskill

The reason her name was not released previously is because ISIS told the Mueller family not to release it. Something to which the State Department apparently agreed in the interest of Kayla Mueller’s safety. Unfortunately, a White House official made the mistake in a January interview of revealing Mueller’s first name which allowed others outside a limited circle to start connecting the dots.

It’s difficult to determine when Mueller was killed. It might have been after she was held with James Foley, who was killed last Summer, or after the White House interview. As a matter of speculation, given Mueller’s background, there’s a possibility it was at a point when her value as a potential Stockholm Syndrome asset was exceeded by the real risk of a rescue attempt.

The story about her dying in a Jordanian airstrike is a fabrication. This is ISIS being too clever by half.

A Proud Infidel®™

I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out she was murdered and then left someplace the ISIS goat molesters knew was going to be hit by aircraft so they could use her death for propaganda purposes, after all, we’re talking about snotsucking low lives that stash miltary hardware inside hospitals and schools!

nbcguy54

Being the cold, heartless bastard that more than one ex-wife has accused me of being: aren’t there plenty of sick people in the impoverished areas of the US that need help too? Charity starts at home (and is usually a little safer too).

UpNorth

Guess I fall into that same category.

You give voice to exactly what I was thinking about this whole thing.

While I never like to see ‘good’ people get hurt, my sympathy is tempered by the fact that she was wasting her energy in a region where it is stupid dangerous for anyone to be, let alone a naive young girl from my neck of the woods, rural Arizona.

Gotta big heart? Fine, expend that mercy and energy here in the good ol’ USA where there are plenty of folks, Americans, who could benefit from it. Quit wasting it in that ME quagmire.

The very second the term ‘American woman’ appeared in the media, I knew that whoever it might be was already dead. The guessing game going on says that she was killed on video, but it wasn’t released because Jordan struck back with vehemence.

I do not mean to take anything away from her good intentions, but to go into the Middle East in a time of war, when Americans are particularly viewed as prey, is naive and the results are very bad, as we have seen several times.

Dave Hardin

Pulling this from memory. This woman posted all kinds of anti war stuff online. I remember her as a deluded do gooder with no grasp of what was really going on. Shame none the less.

Pinto Nag

Learning reality on your knees with a knife at your throat is swift, painful, and permanent.

I hope, if she has any brothers or sisters, that they’re paying attention.

2/17 Air Cav

Well, at least, unlike many do-gooders, she acted on her convictions. She took a great risk. I’m sure that she understood that risk–right up to the moment she was taken captive.

Jacobite

Gotta disagree, I doubt she had any credible understanding of the actual risk to her person at all.

Youth + inexperience = stupid decisions

Her peer group sees themselves as infallible, invincible, and darn near untouchable. Sad and aggrivating.

2/17 Air Cav

Jacobite: That’s what I meant in saying “right up to the moment she was taken captive.” That’s when reality said hello.

Jacobite

Ahhhh, got it! 🙂

Doh but I can be dense at times.

clamsgotlegs

I used to think it was great that people would follow their NGO convictions, but now I am cynical about it.

I am assuming that intelligence and military human assets were used to try to find and/or rescue her. Those people risked their lives for her when she didn’t need to be there. I wish the Pollyannas would stay the heck out of the ME.

It reminds me of the soldiers who died trying to find Bergdahl. Totally unnecessary.

streetsweeper

I agree entirely with Perry Gaskill. I also offer my sincerest condolences to her family. As for ISIS, I hope and pray that Jordan succeeds in exterminating all of them, with dire prejudice.

Pinto Nag

You want to see a fine example of the left’s War Against Women? The media is saying that she was “paired up with” an ISIS fighter. Let’s see…she was a captive, held by a group that deals in slavery…I think the proper term would be “sex slave,” wouldn’t it?

I have no term for the disgust I feel for the vermin we call the MSM.
