Obama’s Excessive Celebration in the Wrong End Zone

| January 22, 2015

For Democrats, the best line in Obama’s SOTU speech was this one:

“I have no more campaigns to run,” Obama said, and when a few scalliwags clapped, he added, “I know, because I won both of them.”

That smirking boast earned him standing applause on the left side of the chamber and the lefty media are still braying about it like a game-winning play. Even FOX News is running the video over and over but for different reasons than the lefties. I suppose we should just let the media enjoy their moment since they’ve had so little to be snickering about lately; but I just can’t restrain myself from pointing out an obvious problem with their quarterback’s excessive celebration in the end zone.

Quite clearly, Obama’s biggest mistake was forgetting that he no longer had possession of the political football. He most assuredly wasn’t holding the ball while he and his team gloated and celebrated past victories. You have to maintain possession to score and in this case the ball is positioned where the Democrats fumbled it back in November due to a brutal, but quite clean hit by our team, and now the Obama Ball is most definitely headed towards the opposite end zone. It’s almost enough to make you feel sorry for the chumps dancing around doing high fives, fist bumps and leaping chest bumps celebrating previous wins, when they’ve just had their butts handed to them and lost control of the game in Obama’s final quarter.

But then, they are the usual, clueless Democrats…

Lefties demonstrating a complete detachment from reality? Yeah, color me shocked. Uh-huh.

Or, SNAFU (Situation Normal, All F**ked Up)

I’m hoping it’s TARFU for them (Things Are Really Fucked Up) well on the way to FUBAR at full throttle!!

“I have no more campaigns to run. “I know, because I won both of them.” As a matter of logic, the statement is nonsensical, as well as false. First, he campaigns all of the time; he is precluded by law from running again for president of the US only. Second, he most certainly may campaign for others seeking the presidency, and he may campaign for a seat in a state or the federal legislature. Third, he served previously in the IL legislature and the US Senate. So, he has had more than two campaigns for political office. And before anyone says, ‘Well, you know what he means,’ let me ask whether George Bush would have been forgiven such a statement by the media. They would have raked his ass over hot coals.

H1

Apparently he was an NP during the mid terms?

As a former delta trooper, 2/17th Cav, I agree with everything written by you.

Makes me wonder, a few years ago the media asked other news media if they are biased – they all said no. that was before FOX news came along.

Oh, let them have their little ‘moments’. You know as well as I do that bodaprez will go down in history as:

– the guy who shut down all the national parks on a whime, including a veterans’ memorial that was built with private funding

– the guy who people thumbed their noses at in tossing aside road cones and blocking grids at those same parks

– the guy who offered a free ride for school with no money to back the plan

– the guy who encouraged millions of illegal aliens to come in through the back door instead of telling to do it the right way, like REAL immigrants have always done

– the guy who pissed off some of our closest allies repeatedly

– the guy who blamed a lack of responsibility for the welfare and also the deaths of US employees on a crappy video that no one had ever heard of

Need I go on? He’s an asshole. He can have his end zone dance. He never once caught the ball and the crowd left a while back.

+1 – Ex-PH2 wins it, yet again.

Hey, Ex-PH2 – isn’t this ‘always nailing it’ thing getting a little boring for ya? ;o)

Hey, Ex-PH2 – isn’t this ‘always nailing it’ thing getting a little boring for ya?
Giggity?

Ex-PH2

Nah, Semper Idem, it keeps the wits sharp.

And anyway, I’m not always right, so I do get hammered once in a while.

Big Steve

Damn. Very well-stated, PH2!

Ex-PH2

Yeah, but I left out howbadismycare on purpose. I thought you guys would pick that up. 🙂

I won’t breathe easy again until he’s OUT of the WH. We’ve beat out more than one brushfire in some anonymous third-world armpit because the ‘el presidente’ decided he liked the big house on the hill and wanted to stay there permanently. Obama strikes me as that type, and I’m not going to be happy until his bags are on the sidewalk.

FasterThanFastjack

I can’t wait for him to be out just so I can see an iota of progress back on the global scene where we’re not being mocked, to be frank. He’s done nothing of value, our allies know it, and even *worse*, our enemies know it.

Big Steve

I’m with you. Obama just annoys the hell out of me, to put it nicely. I am in touch with quite a few Europeans, including relatives. They have little respect for Obama or our government at present, and this is an embarrassment to me.
2016 can’t come fast enough for me, because I believe the anti-American, anti-military Dems will be out.

MGySgtRet.

This fucking guy. How can he spike the ball. He aint seen it since kickoff!!

UpNorth

There’s nothing more pathetic than a guy dancing in the end zone, then raising his hand over his head to spike the football, and everyone sees the ball drop out of his hand and fall on the ground. While Barky goes through the motions and ends up looking like an ass……….again.

3/17 Air Cav

As Bear Bryant told one of his players who overly celebrated, after scoring a touchdown? “Son, act like you’ve been there before”.

Obama has not had many trips to the end zone!

rgr1480

…and now the Obama Ball is most definitely headed towards the opposite end zone. It’s almost enough to make you feel sorry for the chumps dancing around doing high fives, fist bumps and leaping chest bumps celebrating previous wins, when they’ve just had their butts handed to them and lost control of the game in Obama’s final quarter….

Just pray that our team does not fumble the ball.

Thunderstixx

Like watching the last three minutes of the Packer game last Sunday…
I mean, you gotta be fucking kidding me !!!

Big Steve

Good analogy. I’m in Wisconsin, and it would be understatement to say there are some pissed off people here!

Me? I’m MUCH more POed at the antics of Barak “Barry” Hussein. Mr. Community Activist. And this ass clown is the CinC of the most powerful country in the world??!!

Don’t get me started, Thunder…

David

“Mr. President, as President, you are the acknowledged leader of your party as long as you are in office. As your party just suffered an unprecedented mid-term election defeat, let me phrase this so you can understand: In the most recent campaign, you did not win. You had your head handed to you.”

Flagwaver

Just remember, as he vetoes all of the bills coming across his desk that passed the House and Senate that it’s the Republicans who are the Party of No.

Eric

I heard on the news today that the Senate has already voted on more bills in two weeks than all of the last year total.

Just more proof that Harry Reid needs to be in a retirement home, or cemetery, that’d work too.

NHSparky

For all the fawning the MSM does over this guy, I’ve yet to find anyone as tone-deaf to the American people as Obama.

He was elected, and reelected, because the candidates he ran against sucked. Period. They were big government statists who were just barely to the right of him.

Blaster

Well, remember, he did tell the country on NOV 7 that “he heard them” when they voted, but he also said that he also ” heard those that didn’t vote”

His threats to veto everything that is not his way should be proof to everyone that he does not have the best interest of this country in mind. I think that there should be a new prerequisite added to the current list of requirements to be the POTUS and that is that you have to actually love this country and not hate it and everything that it stands for. I agree with rgr1480, I hope our side doesn’t fumble he ball. They tend to step on their own junk.

Eric

The problem with Obama in this case is that he’s more of a sore winner than he is a sore loser.

Joe Williams

IIRC, just keeping sending the same Bill back for singing. The third time it automatally becomes Law even with the Won vetoing it. Did I remember correctally, Fithty plus years since Civics class. Joe

It’s been said that Vladimir Putin was once overhear off camera comparing dealing with B. Hussein 0bama to playing chess with a pigeon. The alleged quote was ” The bird knocks the pieces over, defecates on the board and then struts around like he just won the game!” sounds like B-HO to me!

Big Steve

Putin knows very well that Hussein is a dimwit, unpatriotic, and that has absolutely nothing to fear as long as Barry’s in office.

L. Taylor

This never happened.

A Proud Infidel®™

Prove it, o dimwitted little poodle dick! 😀

Ex-PH2

Actually, it was first said in 2005 by Scott Weitzenhoffer, about debating evolution with Christian Creationists. It has since been edited to demonstrate Putin’s contempt for Obama.

http://www.boulderweekly.com/article-12464-obama-putin-and-pigeon-chess.html

Hondo

Yep, in the same category as Churchill’s apocryphal observation about naval tradition.

http://www.thisdayinquotes.com/2010/08/rum-sodomy-and-lash-winston-churchills.html

I’m sure Putin’s reaction on being asked if the quote was accurate was the same as Churchill’s: “I never said it. I wish I had.”

I wonder if Taylor realizes he’s just resurrected a discussion that’s been dead for 10+ months and drawn new attention to it? (smile)

Ex-PH2

Of course, he does. He’s an attention whore. He’d pick a fight over a shoestring.
