Monday morning feel good story
This morning’s feel good story comes from Texas;
The homeowner says he heard a noise at the back door and thought it was his dog. The intruder forced his way into the home and said that someone was trying to kill him. According to the police report, the homeowner forced the man outside and told his wife to retrieve his shotgun and call 911. The homeowner held the suspect at gunpoint until police arrived. The suspect was arrested without incident. Police say he was extremely intoxicated on methamphetamine. He was taken to the Jefferson County Jail and charged with Criminal Trespass of a Habitation.
Chief Tango sends us another story this time it’s from Kansas;
Sedgwick County Sheriff Deputies tell KAKE News that the homeowner saw a man in his 30s allegedly trying to break into his home through a window and grabbed a gun.
The homeowner shot the suspect in the head, wounding him and called 911.
Deputies found the suspect — bleeding from the head — walking down 73rd Street.
The suspect was treated at a Wichita hospital and arrested.
Five people, including three children, were in the home at the time of the incident but were not hurt.

The gun that allows someone to be shot in the head, then walk down the street, and later be treated and released at the local hospital isn’t the one that you need for self defense.
Probably a 9mm or .380, they are low velocity low impact rounds.
And that is the reason the US Army wants to go back to a heavy hitter like a .45 1911.
A 9mm will bounce off a lot of things including a skull. A .45 will drill right through the skull and leave a hole the size of a tennis ball coming out the back side !!!
He definitely needs a bigger gun though.
Bobo…Roger That! You beat me to my thoughts.
