No doubt some poor energy workers Obammycare will be cut, audited by the IRS, and their name will be added to the no fly list due to such horrific crimes shown in this video against the political class.

There is a delicious irony in all of this however that just adds a warm glow to the earth today.
Hondo, I can’t help but wonder if the original “title” of this post was: YCMTSUIYT

I sure wish the govt. would fix poverty and education. Then they would have more time to fix emissions and other energy matters.
“Fix” poverty and education? Sh!t, LBJ did that back in the 60s. Don’t you remember?
Hell, GDContractor – I’d be happy if they’d just keep their damn mitts off and let people take care of themselves instead of trying to “fix” things. Most every time they touch something, it seems as if they end up screwing it up by the numbers. And we’re the ones left stuck with the bill.
The thing that truly gets me is that many of the issues we are told they want to “fix” are issues that they created! Healthcare being one great example.

If the coal fired plants are shut down (through making it unaffordable to operate), rates are gonna effing skyrocket. People will of course blame everybody but who is responsible though…

You and I both know they won’t blame the brownout on the power company not being able to meet the demands of the area. Instead, they will find some no-name script-kitty and say that he/she hacked the power system and did it on purpose.

Funny, just a few weeks ago applied for a job with EPA, WTF I was thinking. Good thing I got picked up yesterday by NNSA.
I’ll tell you how stupid these clueless idiots are. I live out west in the Soviet of Washington where about 70 percent of our power comes from hydro power. The EPA is threatening to sue us because, get this, they don’t consider Hydroelectric power generation as RENEWABLE ENERGY. They have mandated that a certain percentage of your power generation must be of the renewable type. Other states with no hydro power generation have lower requirements for renewable types. Ass hats!
Some callow kid with n earth sciences degree and a sinister agenda gets a wild hair in his/her ass and we get rules that are counter to our survival as an economic entity.
Note that the water that powers the majority of our power comes down the Columbia river from the far north of Canada and is not subject local weather patterns. Our west side dams have never had too little water. Often, on the green side of the state, they have too much. What is Washington, if not wet?
Of course hydroelectric isn’t renewable. Once the water passes the turbines, it is gone forever. Remember, solar power also isn’t renewable because once the sunlight hits the panel, it’s gone forever.
I’ll go you one better, Flagwaver. Certain forms of nuclear reactors by design produce more fuel than they consume. Even current commercial reactors produce a substantial fraction of their own fuel in-situ (though they are indeed net consumers).
Nuclear power isn’t counted as renewable energy, either. And the enviro-whackos and those technologically illiterate tools who are naively concerned about “proliferation from spent fuel” won’t let us use the new fuel we do produce.
Yes, it’s plutonium and can be chemically separated. But commercial reactor plutonium produced during normal operations has so much Pu240 that it makes truly lousy bomb material.

O/T but maybe someone with some googlefu better than mine would be so kind as to search up info on ISIS/ISIL infiltrators being arrested recently in various western (and ANZAC) countries?
I’ve ran into a news report of such in Australia, Spain, the UK, the US, Turkey and Kosovo so far. All recent, some as recent as yesterday.
Also ran into some funding stream info which claims (but no names mentioned so possibly suspect) that various EU nations have been purchasing crude oil from ISIL/ISIS whatever we’re calling it now.
Estimates are that the income to that org is at least 3 mil US per day.
What are they spending it on? Not weapons. Not vehicles. They just over run sites and take those. I doubt much on troop pay either.

THIS IS WHY WE NEED A LIKE BUTTON!!!

Mmmm…Took a wrong turn at Albuquerque. ;>)
Nice WB/BB reference. (smile)
I believe the video is false. The full testimony is here: http://www.c-span.org/video/?320057-1/epa-power-plant-regulations&start=10288 and the lights didn’t go out. Am I looking at the wrong hearing?
Yes, you are looking at the wrong hearing. Examine the speakers clothes, as well as the clothes of those sitting behind the speaker’s table.
Found the whole thing! Thanks, Jacobite! Irony is that she wasn’t even the only person to testify on the panel. 🙂 Anyone who wants to see it, it’s here: http://science.house.gov/hearing/full-committee-hearing-administration-s-climate-plan-failure-design
