White House considers airstrikes in Syria

The Washington Times reports that the beheading of James Foley by ISIS/ISIL/Islamic State thugs has pushed the White House to look at airstrikes on ISIS units in Syria. I guess they called the President on the 9th hole and asked him if its OK;

Pentagon spokesman Army Col. Steve Warren said the videotaped beheading of Mr. Foley “was a savage act of terrorism.”

“It stands out because [the Islamic State] is trying to further political goals and is using this beheading for political purposes,” Col. Warren said.

Yeah, it sounds pretty tough doesn’t it? I’m sure they’re scared now. The folks in the White House are “considering” stuff – you know, like they’ve been considering stuff for a few years now.

The Associated Press warns that ISIS may be here in the US already;

Federal and New Police York Department officials have estimated that at least 100 Americans could be fighting with the Sunni extremists who have seized territory in northern and western Iraq. In April, a Colorado woman and convert to Islam was arrested before she could travel to Syria to marry a fighter she had met online. More recently, a Texas man who was arrested trying to board a flight to Turkey pleaded guilty to terror charges alleging he wanted to join the group.

In a Pentagon news conference, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey called the Islamic State an “immediate threat,” in part because of the number of Europeans and other foreigners who have traveled to the region to join the group.

“And those folks can go home at some point,” he said.

So, we have that going for us. Maybe we won’t have to deploy troops to Iraq or to Syria…if the Obama Administration “considers” stuff long enough they’ll be here.

B. Hussein Obama will say all he can as long as it doesn’t interfere with his latest golf game, vacation, or fundraiser!

Expect more attempts, between now and Aug. 29, to ‘revise’ what was said into something else, more disillusionment, and more disappointments from someone who does not keep his word… ever.

Michael Richardson

Sorry, but on Obama keeping his word, the facts (mostly) don’t agree with you.

General Allen, USMC (Ret.), says we must destroy ISIS now. Which, I guess, is what everyone already knows. We just need a leader in the White House. No qualification beyond that. Just a leader.

Consider away, Mr. President, consider away.

Just shaking my head over this.

A man shall be known by his works. Or, in this case, by what he fails to do.

Aren’t you just SO glad that the Associated Press is waking up to the mere idea – nay, the probability – that there just might radical jihadists in this country?

And to think, they actually decided to let us know… what we already knew.

That was SO thoughtful of them.

(If I have to put ‘sarc’ in here, you need more caffeine.)

Every American caught trying to travel and join the fight against us and Iraq with IS in Iraq or Syria are in my opinion, enemy combatants and should get a one way ticket to GITMO or Leavenworth. And id they do get there, never, ever let them return to the US regardless of their “citizenship”. I say they have forfeited their citizenship when they choose to join our enemy in destroying everything America stands for. Screw them now and forever.

There is no longer a sovereign border between Syria and Iraq. We will have to bomb Isis in Syria. This will establish a precedent for bombing other places there are no sovereign borders. Our southern border.

This 8-21-2014 article comes from The Blaze:

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2014/08/21/a-subtle-message-to-isis-from-ticked-off-military-veteran-should-send-a-chill-down-the-spine-of-every-terrorist/

There’s a video at the end of it. The writer of the message makes some very good points.

Now, don’t you all think, if push came to shove, an at-home population group of US vets would stand up for their own country?

Seriously, think about it. And please remember that there is such a thing as karmic backlash: you get what you give out. “As the sowing, so is the reaping.” What have the ISers sown, besides fear and horror?

And while you’re ‘considering’ that, it seems that bodaprez is not happy with the police having quite so much military gear and appearing to become paramilitary groups, per this article:

http://news.msn.com/us/obama-orders-review-of-police-use-of-military-hardware-official

I have said this before and I will continue to say it until it is driven home: Clowndog does not have a clue. Bo the Dog is smarter than bodaprez, and twice as clever at putting the ball where it belongs.

I’m going to go spend some cash from the ‘Feed Ex-PH2 Slush Fund’ get an unhealthy but tasty something or other at McD’s.

B. Hussein 0bama and his dog Bo have two things in common: they’re both half black & half white, and both of them are NEUTERED!!

Yes, but I’m sure that when Bo the dog relieves himself, he always hits the mark. Can’t say the same for bodaprez, can we?
