Tankerbabe at Arlington

| November 12, 2008

Tankerbabe sent me a link to pictures of the trip she made to Arlington National Cemetery with some 173rd wounded paratroopers to partake of ceremonies honoring the fallen of current and past wars on Monday.

Our own Paul made it out there with them, carrying the TAH banner while I was suffering from a severe bout with a case of the dumbass. It looks like I missed a great and somber time. Stop on over to tankerbabe’s and give her your love.

ponsdorf ~ many of the names of those who died on 8 Nov 1965 were read at Arlington on Monday. As Jonn speculated, it was a very somber (and moving) time.

Jonn ~ thank you for posting this.

Oh – how could I POSSIBLE forget to say with all sincerity – I missed having you there. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience all the way around. One day I’ll NEVER forget.

TB: I spent some time with them at The Wall. Not quite my war, but I did visit Joel’s grave, have pix.

Just now I’m trying to bridge an age gap.

As much as we have in common it’s an uphill fight.
