Philly Fans Celebrate “Peacefully”
It’s been 25 years since the Phillies won the World Series so a celebration was certainly in order. And they did.
By now, you’ve heard that the Philadelphia Phillies have won the World Series, defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 4 games to 1 after winning a delayed fifth game 4-3 last night. Congratulations to the team. Your city doesn’t deserve it.
Because nothing says World Series champions like overturned cars:
Michelle Malkin has video of the rioting.
Does any thinking person see a peaceful celebration should Obama win? And just what kind of hell will break out if he loses?
I’d bet there is not a large urban area police department in the country that is not on alert for election night.

Jonn I am not surprised and happy that I no longer live in the Philly area.Actually I haven’t seen much news the last couple of days being busy doing other things. Will have to check out MM’s site to see the video. Either way we can probably expect the worst next Wednesday no matter who wins.
I know us republicans will really go crazy either way. We’ll throw on our little boat shoes and smocks and head out for a night of absolute debauchery drinking beer and watching sports.
I agree, I am staying out of DC on election night. I think the US will erupt, and noting it will likely make us racist, but so be it. Stupity knows no racial boundaries, and stupid is as stupid does as that great conservative Forrest Gump once said.

Um, excuse me, TSO, little boat shoes are generally referred to as “deck shoes“, I know you were a faux-Republican!
Anyways, aren’t these the same people that once booed Santa Claus? Why would you expect any different.
“I am staying out of DC on election night.”
It’s already very tense in the city. People are yelling at each other these days – it used to be they’d yell at garbage cans and street lights. The tension is, how you gringos say, palpable.
When I stated I lived in Philly…uhmmm….err..I meant metaphorically…uhmm..yeah…well to clarify my previous stance would be over my pay grade…
COB6 LIGHTEN UP Join the party.Dems have always partied better than Repubs.Just saw a sticker Sarah and Joe 2012.
Behold, your average Obama voter……
Does this moron actually believe that burning and flipping over cars and rioting is better partying than Repubs do?
Richard…my man…Murphy’s pub tomorrow night. I’ll be the jackass in the VFF fleece, come say hi and lets thrown down a few Guinness, listen to some Irish music. You can even meet a (web exclusive here) little redheaded republican from Texas who volunteers for the USO.
Yup, nothing says, “smart,” like flipping over a car, climbing on top of it to celebrate, and letting yourself b photographed or videotaped.
Rioting, it isn’t rocket science… but maybe it ought to be.
Morons!
Irish Dems in Chicago,N.Y.,Boston,Philly,myself in L.A.and across the country will lead the party Tues night.Kennedy,Clinton,Reagan good Irish Presidents.Barack will be a great Pres. and will be downing a few himself Tues night and early Wed morn.Enjoy TSO
Nothing like flippin’ people off and then telling them they are a**holes to start a REAL celebration, only to be topped off by turning over a few cars, setting a few fires, breaking out some windows at banks & retail establishments, tearing up some bus stops…what fun, what class!! Philly fans are without peers!! To those who barely read or write, that is NOT a compliment.
As always, losers have a bad time acknowledging the greatness of Philadelphia, and our teams. The Phillies did a wonderful thing, and there are now sore losers in Florida, Massachusetts, and California (and the rest of the country.)
Go Phils!
