Not an accurate reportage

I don’t think that the eyeball had ever been lifted off Afghanistan. They forgot to mention the role of UN and the international force (NATO). It is just another front with a different strategy: to conduct an operation with allied forces is more complex. PBS is quite famous for its narrow point of views…o-o

TSO: Largely I agree with you, but since national knowledge of Afghanistan is about nil, every bit helps. My big concern regarding the trade-off between troops in Stan and Iraq is that it is easier to kill bad guys in Iraq than stan, something that isn’t adequately portrayed here. As for NATO, and ISAF, frankly, the brits seemed to be the only ones who were doing anything substantial when we were there.

I deeply resent your completely accurate portrait of me at work.

I concur with “Not an Accurate reportage” above. I would also add that not only is a different strategy – it is the strategy the “whaepishing-birkenstock-wearing-war-is-not-the-answer-munchy-crunchy-support-the-troops-bring-them-home-we-need-win-back-the-Europeans-who-don’t-respect-us-boo-hoo-I-want-Obama-to-give-me-a-puppy-and-a-rainbow” crowd has been pressing for.

(apologies to the Dominican nuns I had in school for the run on sentence above)
