Wednesday morning feel good story

| April 23, 2014

Chief Tango sends us our feel good story this morning, this time it’s from Michigan where four youngsters were shopping for free jewelry;

“We told them, ‘We have guns. We will shoot you. Leave, leave. We will shoot you. Leave.’ And they did not leave,” David Medawar told 24 Hour News 8.

David Medawar said they could see the robbers coming, so they tried to gather their employees into a safe room. One employee did not make it into the safe room, Medawar said, and was ordered at gunpoint by the robbers to open the safe. The Medawars said the suspects were likely trying to get diamonds or other high-end valuables.

Paul and David Medawar, who were watching video surveillance camera from the safe room, armed themselves. Then, they said, one of the suspects stuck a gun into the safe room.

“They came in and pursued to try to get all of us,” David Medawar said. “And we saw the threat; we saw him aiming his gun at us, coming in the door, so we fired and eliminated the threat. And they fled.”

None of the employees were injured and at least one of the thieves may have been wounded.

Obviously the jewelry store employees were racist since they profiled these fine, upstanding citizens as criminals. Why do they assume that young men with weapons approaching the store in an aggressive manner are criminals?

I was thinking hoodies and pants below their butt cheeks.

The story continues. Minus one member, the thugs seem to be on a travelling crime spree. More action expected .

(WXYZ) – Police say three suspects robbed Tapper’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry on Orchard Lake just north of Maple in West Bloomfield on Tuesday afternoon.

We’re told the three suspects entered the store armed, ordered everyone to the ground and demanded to see Rolex watches and other jewelry. Police say they then took thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.

We’re told that the three may be connected to another jewelry store robbery in Plainfield Township that also occurred on Tuesday afternoon. Police say four armed men entered Paul Medawar Fine Jewelry, demanded to see Rolex watches and other jewelry, but ended up fleeing after one of the suspects was shot by the store owner.

The targeted jewelry and getaway car match descriptions in both cases.

Investigators say they are looking for three men in a dark-colored Chrysler Town and Country minivan.

Tapper’s will open Wednesday for business at 10 a.m.

“They came in and pursued to try to get all of us,” David Medawar said. “And we saw the threat; we saw him aiming his gun at us, coming in the door, so we fired and eliminated the threat.”

A description so clinical, it sounds like an AAR comment.

And that’s exactly how you want it… at least until any investigation and litigation is over.

I wonder if these crews aren’t communicating with each other. We’ve had several jewelry stores around these parts that were take-over’s with one store owner killed, in past few months. In the most recent job, the driver and crew were found through a rented 2014 Caddy CTS…

Probably the same crew, Streets. Last time Medawar’s got robbed, the yutes were from Detroit. They got caught, because they didn’t know how to drive, and put their SUV into a stand of trees. Tapper’s is about 2.5 hours away from Plainfield Township, well within the timeline of the two robberies.
I wonder where the 4th member of the crew will turn up. Medawar seemed to believe that #4 was hit in the abdomen. Maybe #4 is laying low in a dumpster or vacant field somewhere.

A MINIVAN was their getaway car? Seriously? What kind of street cred do they think they’re gonna get with that?
