Friday Morning Feel Good Story
Chief Tango sends us our feel good stories this morning. The first is from Coral Springs, Florida where two people tried to rob another with a Craig’s List scam;
Coral Springs police said the man who planned to purchase the phone met the pair in the 2900 block of Riverside Drive.
Police said two men tried to rob the prospective buyer, who pulled out a gun and shot one of them.
The other attempted robbery suspect was taken into custody.
Neighbors heard the gunshots. One woman told Local 10 it happened right outside her window and she believes she heard two shots.
The next story comes from Missouri, where a homeowner returned to his house to find a fellow rummaging through his stuff;
Two neighbors allegedly caught a burglary suspect in the act, and held him at gunpoint until sheriff’s deputies arrived. It happened in Maries County, where a homeowner returned to find a man stealing items from his house. Deputies arrived and arrested 49-year old Michael Gaither of St. James.
Deputies say Gaither had several bags of suspected methamphetamines, drug paraphernalia, prescription pills, and burglary tools in his possession. The Sheriff’s Office recovered suspected stolen items from St. James, and all the stolen property from the residence of the incident was recovered.
