Saturday Morning feel good story

Police line

Chief Tango sends us our Saturday morning feel good story to kick off our weekend right. This one comes from Texas;

The Wood County Sheriff’s Office said a unit was dispatched to a home on County Road 1600 near Alba around 8:16 a.m after receiving a call about a reported trespasser. While the dispatched unit was en route to the home, the sheriff’s office received a second call stating that the trespasser had now entered the home of the caller and had been shot by the homeowner.

Upon arrival, deputies found that a 42-year-old white male inside the home had suffered a gunshot wound. The man was flown to a Tyler hospital where he remains in intensive care.

Funny how the burglar wouldn’t hold on and wait for the police to get there.

“ALBA”, pronounced as “AL-AH-PAH”, is the Gaelic name for Scotland.

Except, that being in Texas, its origins and pronunciation might not be Scottish or Gaelic.

Sounds like more range time is needed. The po-po should have arrived to pick up a corpse to transport to the morgue, not a (live but wounded) person to take to the hospital.

Well, the homeowner certainly did help the police with their job.

Nice story with my morning cup of tea.

I agree Ex. Nice story with my morning coffee. I agree with B Woodman, More range time. The guy should have been close to room temperature by the time the police arrived. In fact I would have helped out the coroner by shoving my meat thermometer in his liver! 😀

On-Scene-Commander: But, but .. but …. he’s still alive! Take that thermometer out of his liver!!
