Jonathan Jenson; embellishing officer (Updated)
Ya know for some people making Captain in the Army would be good enough, but this fellow, Jonathan Jenson, didn’t think that was good enough so he tacked on 32 more years and change and wounded himself, I guess to impress the folks at church.
Here’s his real records;
And his perfectly honorable career before he shat upon it all;
If he had retired this year, he’d still be in the database, but, nope, the only Jonathan Jenson is a buck sergeant in Georgia.
That work was all Scotty’s by the way.
UPDATE: A workmate of Jenson’s sent us this picture of the wall in his cubical;
A screen shot of a conversation wherein he establishes his Ranger creds;
There was an ROTC Ranger School class 501-1973, but that was a year before there were any Ranger Battalions. The 1st Ranger Battalion was activated August 1974. I wonder which is Jenson in the class photo;
Besides, there’s no mention of him having attended Ranger School in his records.
Category: Phony soldiers
What conflict was he wounded in?
@1 – The one in his head, GT.
I looked at their website and they appear to be Veteran-friendly or use them in their business.
Either way, I have an odd feeling that they (partSource) would frown upon this.
He is a director of some sorts, but does not appear listed under their company website.
Point of Question: Does a Service Member have to be wounded in Combat to be considered a Wounded Warrior?
But either way, he shouldn’t put that he is still presently in the Army, when he got out in the 80’s—dumbass
Okay, now seeing the update, claiming tabs and jump wings….ummm my question no longer applies to him…..Yeah, don’t lessen your military career by embellishing.
Damn Sir, that must have been a secret Airborne school you went to.
As a Redleg I don’t know any self respecting Artillery Officer who would ever claim to be anything other than an Artilleryman…or would want to
I spent 9 years enlisted, as an 11H and 54B, prior to being commissioned into the Field Artillery
Before Field Artillery Officer Basic Course (FAOBC) I always took it for granted that the Artillery dudes just pointed the howitzers and the rounds landed where they were supposed to land…like magic
I will always remember the day in FAOBC when we were issued with our gigantic bag of slide rules and our TFT (tabular firing table – a book about the size of a Chicago phone book)
I also will remember, with pride, the day we graduated and I had made it through that course. FAOBC was the most academically challenging course I have ever been through in the military.
And this guy made it through. Shame he has no pride in that.
Just saw the update.
Fuck this guy!
The clown also lists several colleges he attended.
It would appear he is a very “educated” man.
My “buddy” graduated from the 1st Officer Ranger Class. This pisses me off.
HFS- this nap-head was an APMS at my alma-mater, just before I entered there. He was in my hometown; I’d put 500 bucks onto the fact that I ran into this dichschwage at the ROTC range at some point; my dad used to go to the ROTC det and get the keys to their range for training, and let us shoot some. I’m surprised he didn’t claim something from the guard unit stationed there.
He list USARA (US Army Ranger Association) as an affiliation.
Have you guys ran a Tab check on him?
Well…I’m feeling inspired now. I think I’m going to start claiming to be a ranger based solely upon the amount of time I crawled around in the alleys of a shithole called Tongduchon. That qualifies me for a tab…right?
Hey, I did TDC, Sonju-ri, AND Itaewon, that ought to get me a sleeve full of tabs!!
The Soju Experience alone ought to qualify for a badge!!
@12, Not unless you include door gunner on a Klingon battlecruiser.
And the 32-year Officer career (CIB, Ranger, etc.) and he works in a cubicle?
Yeah.
Not.
Turd.
Ex-PH2, does my time as an Underwater Door Gunner on a Sub count? Let’s not covet my stint as an Apollo Mission Door Gunner, either!
UDG on a sub. Hmmm… I’m not sure, because that also involves using the cloaking device that Harry Potter’s aunt stole from the bioweapons lab. Was that with or without the screen door?
@17.
That actually is with the screen door.
APL has the contract.
I was a 11B and 11H, and I don’t have a CIB. Fuck this canoncocker.
I worked the summer between my Jr and Sr college years as a National Park Ranger, Can I claim a Ranger Tab? I was in the Army before that, does that make me an Army Ranger,(park)?
@19, Jim L., I’ve been a 12C, 11B, (Now a 13F) with three overseas tours (two in the ME), and I don’t have a CIB either, and I did my fair share of missions. I came back in after a nine year break in service, and I don’t feel the need to embellish a damn thing!
Me too, I say SCREW this lardassed turd burglar who looks like he could suck the sugar glazing off of a jelly doughnut from 600 meters away!!
These guys are always the worst because they choose to invent phony, bullshit stories when they have perfectly respectable records of service. WHY??? Why can’t you just be proud of who you are instead of inventing someone who you are not? Yeah, it would be cool if I were Ricky Recon and had a bunch of valor medals, but I’m not. I was just a humble corporal who fixed radars, but I did a damned good job of it. I’m proud of my service and I don’t have to lie to anyone about all the heavy combat I wasn’t in to feel that way.
