Just because I’m curious.
With all the news about the horror of the Affordable Care Act, AKA Obamacare being a complete dud, I’d like to hear from you. How many of you have actually signed up? If so what state, and how was the experience? Right now we can only get anecdotal information so I want to hear actual numbers. If you’re not going to sign up, why? Do you think it’s going to fall apart? If so what will be the result for the country?
I ask, you answer.

If anyone in the medical profession EVER asks me about guns, I may respond with a quizzical look and tell them my cat’s name is Maigahn.
Do you use tobacco products? I’m allergic to smoke of any kind from any source, including fallen leaves. What do you think?
Do you use alcohol? Only when needed on scrapes and cuts, and occasionally, when I’m keeping the mac & cheese warm on the sterno burner.
@49 Well, there you go. Sr. Mary Scary should have beaten you.
Sister: “Spell receive.”
Mini-Chief: “Receive. R-E-C-I-E-V-E. Receive.”
Sister: “Thank you. Now, please step up here.”
Sister: “Do you see this metal ruler, Mini? Tell the ruler how to spell receive. If Mr. Ruler disagrees, he’ll let you know.”
Mini-Chief: “Receive. R-E-C-I- Whack! Whack! Whack! Whack!”
You see, Chief, that’s how I learned. It was quite effective, if painful.
I’m not going to sign up because I have VA and Tricare, BUT I was at my pulmonologists on Friday and overheard him talking to his accountant. Seems that the family plan he gives his employees (2 nurses, a receptionist, and an office manager) is NOT good enough for the ACA and to comply the minimum would be individual plans only for the employees and THAT would cost him a total of $1000 more a MONTH. He doesn’t know what to do besides go to work for the State funded hospital.
