Another Turncoat Convicted

| August 26, 2013

By now, almost everybody should have heard that that the worthless little sh!t turncoat Bradley Manning was convicted of selling out his nation as well as his brothers- and sisters-in-arms.  But it turns out that Manning wasn’t the only one who’s been selling out this country lately.

Last week, PO1 (Ret) Robert Hoffman was convicted of espionage in Norfolk, VA.  He’ll be sentenced in December.

Hoffman served in the Navy for 20 years.  Much of his time was spent as a submariner.

He was convicted of passing information to what he thought were Russian spies on at least 3 occasions.  Unknown to Hoffman, in reality they were FBI agents operating a “sting”.  On at least one occasion, Hoffman passed information useful in tracking US submarines.

No, this doesn’t appear to be another Walker case.  Still, even though foiled the attempt is disquieting – and disgusting.

May Hoffman spend the rest of his life in prison.  And when he passes from this Earth, may the Devil take his soul.

Not just a spy, but a stupid spy. Life without parole sounds about right to me. Guilty as hell, even if the FBI initiated the contact. An honorable man would contact the authorities if he were contacted by what he thought was a foreign agent. SOB got greedy and now he is screwed. I wonder what the financial offer was. Surly less than ten grand, perhaps a lot less.

Old Trooper

Throw away your 20 year career for a few bucks……That’s AWESOME!!

rb325th

Too bad he could not be keel hauled before beginning his prison sentence….

Can you be keel hauled by a submarine?

NHSparky

Funny thing is, he probably will. And for (comparatively) less than what Manning did.

But this guy isn’t teh ghey, so the little leftards won’t protest the “injustice” of his sentence.

Oh, and for the record, fuck this guy with a pineapple.

ComancheDoc

I understand America isnt the bastion of all things holy and righteous but WTF is with all these assclowns selling out?!

MustangCryppie

@4 Gee, I don’t know, but I would be willing to try…and try…and try. Until I got it right.

Fucking douchebag.

Lesson #1 for future spies: Do NOT sell secrets to law enforcement agents.

Lesson #2 for future spies: You can identify law enforcement agents by the fact they contact you asking you for secrets.

I thought Hoffman was busted YEARS ago…. what did he do, get Hassan’s defense team?

Veritas Omnia Vincit

How come this guy is not a famous whistle blower like Snowden and Manning? I mean he was only trying to make sure our nasty secret submarines were all open for everyone to see so we can’t be spying on folks with submarines…..

AW1 Tim

I spent my time working with submarines. Looking for theirs, protecting ours (when we could find them). I despise guys like this. He could have been responsible for the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands of Navy submariners, and potentially crippled the strongest leg of our nuclear triad.

If not the death penalty, then he deserves life in solitary with nothing in his cell but him, a bible, his bed and toilet. No communication with the outside world. Ever. Let the guard slide in his food tray three times a day, until they stop coming back.

NHSparky

VOV–because submarines aren’t “sexy” or people don’t know much about them, what they do, etc.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

@14 I know, it just p1sses me off….they should just terminate this piece of crap and terminate that other piece of crap Manning…when Snowden returns they can pop him too for all I care.

NHSparky

@11–no, he only got popped just before last Christmas:

Turncoats, HANG ‘EM ALL!!

Yes, yes, turncoat POS. Perhaps more importantly, it seems that the FBI cold-calls people when they’re bored and tries to get them to sell state secrets. That’s just one more reason for me to continue the trend of never answering my goddamn phone.

Hondo-this guy has no soul.

They need to schedule part of his confinement to be conducted in a sub, so he can be surrounded by the sailors whose lives he jeopardized. I suspect that by the time the sub’s patrol was over, he would complete his term of confinement in a coffin.

That is, if there’s anything left of him to bury. Perish the thought, but his birth certificate might expire during the patrol and his remains would have to be stored somewhere…maybe a torpedo tube. And torpedo tubes sometimes malfunction, right?

David

NHSparky – thanks, realized I was confising him with Pollard. Nice weather in NH last week… was there (sadly)to attend a funeral.

How’s about having this no account run a gauntlet of bubbleheads? The bubbleheads can be armed with whatever they can pick up and swing, and form a double line at least 50 yards long. If mr traitor can make it to the end of the gauntlet alive, then he can stand trial. If not, then he gets ejected out a torpedo tube to become fish food and whale shit.

Ex-PH2

And all for a little bit of money. That speaks volumes about what his true values were.

Wink

What do you think the odds are Obama will pardon him before leaving office??
