Monday morning feel good story

| August 26, 2013

Chief Tango sends us a link to today’s feel good story which comes to us from Pennsylvania for a change. It seems that Curt Stein, 49 came home and found Zachary Foster, 18, changing his life in Curt’s home;

“The homeowner arrived home after being gone from the residence. Upon arriving home, he was met by a male intruder who was at his residence. The homeowner and the intruder got into a physical confrontation. The homeowner subsequently shot the intruder,” according to the report.

The intruder was pronounced dead by Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner Scott Clews, according to Schuylkill County Coroner Dr. David J. Moylan, who was called for comment Saturday night.

A brief story for Zachary’s brief life.

The shorter the better. In both cases.

Frankly Opinionated

Aaaah, the morning coffee read that is “This Ain’t Hell”. We get the best side of our heroes’ stories, as well as the latest in things Military, Veteran, etc. But the frosting on the cake is the morning “Feel Good” story. After this, we can turn to the latest comments by the resident drunk, attempting to be the antagonist, but who is in actuality, our personal pet spandex clad slinky, kicking him down the stairs until either that exercise or his cheap liquor cause him to fall asleep as he attempts to compose his final comment of the evening.
One could easily say that TAH pretty much has it all.

Do “reporters” even read what they wrote?

“The homeowner arrived home after being gone from the residence. Upon arriving home, he was met by a male intruder who was at his residence.”

If he really arrived, then no shit he was gone. Did we need to immediately know that he was really really home…”upon arriving at home”? And, since he just arrived home, apprently twice at the same time, did we really really really need to know that an intruder was at his residence?

Yeah, dude. We got it the first time, that all this happened at his house.

The coroner will be doing two autopsies at taxpayers’ expense. One is a virtual autopsy (what?) and the other is a physical autopsy.

I’m happy to see that the homeowner had the presence of mind to defend himself instead of waiting 20 or so minutes for the police to arrive with SWAT teams, armored cars, dogs, and tons of ammo.

Funny, the Durango schools have been in session since last week, and we’ve yet to hear from Joey the rock climbing socialist. What gives?
