Dempsey to be renominated

| June 26, 2013

Chief Tango sends us a link from USAToday the great news that Marty Dempsey is getting renominated to his seat as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs;

President Obama said Wednesday he will renominate two top military aides: Gen. Martin Dempsey as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Adm. Sandy Winnefeld as vice chair.

“These two distinguished military leaders have earned my trust and that of the American people,” Obama said in a statement.

Yeah, so what about the trust of the American service members? Dempsey has come down against retired military veterans when he told Congress that he wouldn’t mind paying a little more for his healthcare, so the rest of us shouldn’t. Marty blamed our troops for the “green-on-blue” attacks against them because they were insensitive to the Muslim culture. He allowed the commanders to disarm his troops while they were in combat so as not to make their “allies” uncomfortable, inviting more “green-on-blue” attacks against our troops. Dempsey wrapped his arms around the myth that al Qaeda has been “decimated” despite clear evidence of their resurgence in Iraq, Africa and Syria. Dempsey has also led the way promoting lower standards for our combat arms troops so that more women could can fill those slots.

Dempsey reappointment is merely because he doesn’t push back against the politicians when they make ill-considered decisions.

“Dempsey reappointment is merely because he doesn’t push back against the politicians when they make ill-considered decisions.”

True. He doesn’t advise anyone, any time, any where – and he certainly isn’t the voice of the other branches, though he should be. I can’t help but wonder if the other service chiefs despise his fuggin’ ass.

One thing is for certain… He’s figured out a way to survive in the upper echelon’s of military power in today’s political climate.

Both of ’em – KoolAid drinkin’, bowl floatin’, asshole libturds. Time to flush ’em. Now.

Mattis 2016.

beretverde

Keeping a “Yes man” in place.

David

Like his ultimate boss, a politician, not a statesman or leader

COB6

Another payoff for the Benghazi coverup.

Disgusting.

AW1 Tim

Disgusting is the mildest word that comes to mind.

Valerie

I know that if expressions can relay thoughts, he is definitely not Ray Odierno’s best buddy!!

ohio

Bath House Barry wants a boot licking, groveling, ass kissing person to be Chairman of the JCS.

A Proud Infidel & Patriot

Beretverde, you said it all in a nutshell! B. Hussein 0bama & Co. don’t give a damn about the US Military or Vets, period, and he wants to degrade it all as much as he can! Given just what he’s done so far,B. Hussein 0bama makes “Blowjob Willie” look like Ronald Reagan!!

PintoNag

Lap dogs. Both with clipped vocal cords.

I’d be one of those American peoples, and they certainly have not earned anything other than my disdain. Of course, it is also true that anyone the poser in chief trusts I do not.

Hayabusa

Worst CJCS in U.S. history.

2/17 Air Cav

Earned the trust of the American people. I’ll lay 50-1 that 99 of 100 citizens picked at random would not be able to name the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Hell, 85 of 100 don’t know what the Joint Chiefs of Staff is. But the American people trust the Dumpster? In other words, he’s a good lap dog and will do and say whatever obamaman wants him to say. Dumpster, like Rice, was on the front end of the Benghazi Bullshit. Remember?

What I loved is the Gannett owned Army Times (also owner of USAToday) was asking what its readers thought. I’m sure that question got answered by a whole lot of servicemen and servicewomen.

He also told veterans to stuff their 1st Amendment rights. Dempsey is the perfect yes man bootlicker for this terrible POTUS. There is no telling how much more damage to the military this anti-American POTUS is going to accomplish, with Dempsey’s willing compliance and participation.

#12 PN: Funny you should mention that. Dempsey survived a bout with throat cancer while CG of USATRADOC, before becoming the CSA. Maybe Dempsey should have spit the… koolaid instead of swallowing all those years.

It is simple really. If Obama is for um, I’m agin’ um. If he likes them I know that they are ass kissers. Only ass kissers can deal with his gigantic ego and not puke.

Third News

Which of your points doesn’t align with President Obama’s typical service promotion?

I agree with your takedown, a few things you brought up there I’d forgotten. Dempsey is a yes-man who has retroactively justified every poorly thought out directive of this administration regardless of the consequences. These schemes without a doubt will erode combat effectiveness but then again he’ll be dead or at least retired by then.

I can’t understand this halo he’s been anointed by some(looking at you Thomas Ricks) as somekind of thoughtful-ponderer of a General. I understand mistakes will be made but shouldn’t you get at least a few of the big questions right? My God what was he? A Division commander shortly after the Invasion of Iraq and then he commanded one of the assistance commands(Can’t remember which). How does he stand out significantly or positively from any of his peers?

As long as the Navy can still sail he won’t have to worry about an invasion or anything. Oh wait….

2#”True. He doesn’t advise anyone, any time, any where – and he certainly isn’t the voice of the other branches, though he should be. I can’t help but wonder if the other service chiefs despise his fuggin’ ass.” Odierno and Amos aren’t much better. I think all the members of the Joint Chiefs are now Obama appointees, they were chosen for a reason.

Any consolation, this should be Marty’s last assignment in uniform.

This is bad, but I wouldn’t be as focused on his staying on in this position as I would this:

Excerpt:

“The top U.S. military officer said on Wednesday he has recommended bolstering Lebanese forces grappling with the fallout from Syria’s civil war by sending in military trainers and accelerating arms sales.

General Martin Dempsey also said he had recommended helping Iraq better deal with the re-emergence of al Qaeda.”We’ve made a recommendation that as we look at the challenges faced by the Lebanese armed forces, the Iraqi security forces with a re-emerging al Qaeda in Iraq, and the Jordanians, that we would work with them to help them build additional capability,” Dempsey told reporters at the Pentagon.

A spokesman said Dempsey’s recommendations were made “in recent weeks” during internal discussions with the U.S. military’s Central Command, as it deliberates how to respond to the growing, regional unrest.”

I wouldn’t be as focused on his staying in this position as I am what he’s advocating currently for the Middle East:

And America has yet one more reason to weep. Not that the average person gives a shit, mind you–cause Dancing with the Stars is on, dontcha know.

Bam Bam

And don’t forget him lying through his teeth about Benghazi and the support that wasn’t available because the closest forces were the equivalent to Washington, D.C. To LA. Yeah, we don’t have ANY forces in Italy or other areas in the vicinity…. Loser.

MGySgtRet

Jonn, you are wrong, Dempsey does push back. Unfortunately it is against the big green weinie that the Obama administration sticks up his willing rear end on a constant basis.

Veritas Omnia Vincit

Dempsey is doing a great job preparing himself for a lucrative post military career. The tremendous ass kissing to the president, the advocating for increased weapon sales on behalf of corporate supporters….

I would not be surprised to see Dempsey live his remaining days in the lap of luxury paid for with his silver tongue and dark brown nose.
