Wednesday feel good story

| April 17, 2013

UpNorth sends us a link to the story of a man in Forth Worth, TX, who thought he was buying a cell phone from a Craigslist ad, but he took his gun and his CCW license, just in case. When 20-year-old Desmond Paige tried to rob him, the would-be victim shot him dead;

Dallas News | myFOXdfw.com

According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram;

MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said paramedics told him that the robbery target “took out his gun, and he shot the alleged perpetrator in the chest several times.”

The man with the gun was shot in the arm. His injury was not life-threatening, Zavadsky said. It was not clear late Tuesday whether he was shot by Paige or shot himself, officials said.

I hope the Senate keeps this story in mind as they vote on gun control today.

I doubt they will, liberals NEVER let anything interfere with their quest to squelch Freedom and Liberty.

“Give it up or I’ll bust a cap in you!”

“Oh. That’s a helluva an offer. Here’s my counteroffer: Blam! Blam! Blam! Blam!”

Negotiation ended.

Fort Worth’s motto or what ever it is called is ” Where The West Begins”. The LEOs like you to carry in your car coked and ready in certain areas of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex,

Fort Worth just got a little bit safer.

I would rather become a criminal under an unjust law than a victim.

Desmond Paige was a convicted felon, on parole for a “violent crime”? I’m shocked, shocked, I tell you. I’d bet he was “just turnin’ his life around”.

George

Not a big fan of their continued use of the dirtbag criminal’s name. Who cares what his name was? He intended to rob someone and didn’t care if it got violent.

I don’t want to hear the names of the dirtbag criminals. I want to hear they failed.
I don’t need to know the names of the people who defend themselves. I want to know they succeeded.

I’ve heard about problems with Craigslist being a contact point for robbers — and worse. The man was using his head when he went armed for the meeting. I, personally, would find another source than Craigslist, if I could.

OWB

Was it an obamaphone?

Craig’s List is fine if you:

A) Never give your name or other vitals;

B) Meet at a public place of your choosing;

C) Ask what sort of vehicle the buyer/seller will be driving; and

D) Arrive early to get the tag number and size-up the buyer/seller.

Failing any one of those things for any reason = NO deal.

@10 If I want a shooting situation, I’ll rent a movie. I use eBay, when I buy anything. Far less likely to get shot at that way.

@6…no doubt the parents/relatives will be on television any second now telling us what a “good boy” he was and shoving angelic-looking photos of him when he was 12 into the camera. Nah, that wouldn’t happen in real life, now would it???

Something tells me these bleeding heart libtards wouldn’t be so sympathetic if it were them or anyone they know that were the robbery victim in this case.

Also robbery is robbery. Doesn’t matter if it’s strong arm or done with a gun. The victim has no ability to determine before hand the intent of the person other than knowing they are endangering their life. Hate arm chair justice arbitrators that attempt to dissect dangerous situations after the fact.

Sparky, he was just goin’ down to gets him some Skittles, I’m sure the the shooter misunderstood him.
