Claims of alleged corruption and sexual misconduct in 841st Engineer Battalion.
I found this when it was posted by our friends at ARMY WTF. It seems that there are things going on at the 841st Engineer Battalion according to this Captain.
The following is a video on the falsification of Army training documents, the endangering of Soldiers’ lives, concealment of a sexual assault, and the perpetuation of an atmosphere a sexual harassment at the 841st Engineer Battalion in Miami, Florida.
To date no one has been held responsible for any of these actions.
I made this video as a record of my last official act as a commissioned officer in the United States Army.
The 841st EN BN has fostered a command climate ripe in the demoralizing atmosphere of sexual harassment and corruption.
Not only have the officers of the 841st EN BN fallen disgracefully short of meeting their moral, ethical and legal obligations to the Soldiers assigned to the unit, but our higher commands – the 926th EN BDE and the 412th Theater Engineer Command, are equally responsible for their lack of oversight and their tacit complicity following my initial reporting of these issues over 1 ½ year ago.
This is my last avenue for addressing these issues, as I have utilized my chain-of-command, the office of the inspector-general, and even my former-congressional representative, the Honorable Mr. Mario Diaz-Balart and my current representative, the Honorable Ms. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.
I personally cannot understand why no one has been held accountable for falsifying training documents, endangering the lives of Soldiers, concealing a sexual assault, and perpetuating an atmosphere a sexual harassment, given the amount of evidence I and others have provided or offered to provide.
Very respectfully,
CPT Marcelo A. Lucero
United States Army
Not sure what is going on but if any of this is true it needs to be looked into.

thanks for posting this. I don’t know what to make of it, either, but the allegations are sufficient to warrant attention.
No idea whether or not the claims are valid. If they are, this is exactly the kind of action an officer is supposed to take. Do the right thing.
@2.
I agree however it may be prudent to take a knee and observe for a few.
Let it develop.
Aren’t MST allegations supposed to go straight to CID now? Which he didn’t mention attempting to contact.
That look in his eyes. He’s not doing this because he wants to hes doing it because he has to.
This sounds just the stuff my dad went through in the FL Guard in the 1980’s. Parties and “escorts” were the norm during weekend drills at Camp Blanding. 20 years later, doesn’t sound like much has changed. Just like active duty Soldiers who strove to do the right thing get lumped in with the Shammers and Dirt Bags, Guard units that are in line with Active Duty units get their reputations ruined. If his allegations turn out to be true, this Officer should be commended for having the courage to speak up.
I’m going to let the situation develop on this one. I’ve seen people with an axe to grind make accusations in the past to get back at the people that “wronged” them.
Well one thing is for certain, this is going to be looked into by someone at a higher pay grade than those involved now. I have heard stories of corruption, bad paperwork, sexual misconduct from enough different sources to know it all goes on. I would not be shocked to find out this all of this actually occurred.
@4 Amen.
If he heard of alleged crimes he was obligated to report it to CID.
I am very uncomfortable with his decision to post allegations online. It is not very wise. At the least he is opening himself up to a number of civil suits. If the allegations are false he has just slandered a lot of folks. I know “slander” is a dirty word here, but it is not like the valor thieves who allege slander and libel when the truth is exposed. If he cannot back up his claims, he is screwed. I would also consider Art 133 if he is still in.
At the same time, this guy may be really heroic.
Are we SURE about these alligations? Or is this just a case of butt-hurt, PC, and twisted panties?
I take my grievances to Youtube because I’m an US Army officer!
B Woodman: dunno at this point.
He may have a valid beef and simply be be frustrated enough not to care – or plan on getting out anyway. Or he could be butt-hurt and looking for payback. Or some of both.
Either way, the youngster is definitely playing “bet yer bars” here.
Green Thumb IMO has the right idea – wait and see. But I’d also guess rb325th is correct and it’s going to be looked at pretty closely now.
I’m part of the FLARNG, and the units in the farthest Southern parts of the State DO NOT have very good reputations!! I’m looking forward to seeing how this turns out, as there are also a lot of “crusaders” in those units that are only interested in how much publicity they can get!!
I am part of this Reserve unit and I personally witnessed the acts of the training before we deployed. The signing of the rosters, did it myself without the training. When you have a Battalion Commander that worked for HRC and knows everyone there by first name a lot of things got covered up. And there are a lot of other issues that have not come forward yet i.e lower soldiers awards after the General Officer has signed them and they have been permed just to name a few.
“This video has been removed by the user.”
Well…….OK.
I served with this officer and he is the best and most honorable i’ve had the privilege of serving with. the video was reposted by some private citizen at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SujDao6fMNo
I was in this unit and I can attest to the Command Staff being a bunch of criminal douche bags. And the sexual harassment, was ridiculous.
Any update on this situation? I’m curious to know if it has been looked into. Can’t find any updated info about it.
