No evidence of SF malfeasance in Wardak
Yesterday, I wrote about Afgan President Karzai’s contention that special forces troops had been misbehaving in Wardak Province in Afghanistan and that they had two weeks to withdraw from operations there. Not surprisingly, NATO has found no evidence of malfeasance on the part of troops there says the Associated Press.
German Gen. Gunter Katz said on Monday that the International Security Assistance Force will work with the government to find a solution to the concerns of Afghans.
Katz’s comments come a day after President Hamid Karzai ordered all U.S. special forces to leave Wardak province within two weeks because of allegations that Afghans working with them are torturing and abusing other Afghans.
The article ends with the comment that Karzai’s order came as a surprise. Really? He’s been interfering in operations since before this administration took over the war with his persistent blather worried more about his peace talks with the Taliban than prosecuting the war against them. There should be a foot race back to the airbases with everything the troops can carry on their backs and withdraw in order to hasten the inevitable beheading of Karzai by Taliban forces.

If this came as a shock to anyone then they need their head examined. Pull them all out. Anything we can’t take with us blow in place. Don’t leave anything for them like we did in Iraq.

Pack up what we can, blow up the rest and salt the earth. And when Karzai’s replacement begs us for help, we make it clear that we expect payment in natural resources.
I say the first award of the new Distinguished Combat Medal (also known as the Geek Cross in my neighborhood)goes to the logistian who figures out how retrograde and redeploy everybody out of theater in two weeks. There should be a grunt advising how to best implement the scorched earth policy on the way out too…

Is the U.S. military still supplying Karzai with a PSD?? They were in 2002 when I was over there. He had SEALS watching over his sorry ass back then. Would be interested to know if he is still under the protection of the same special operators that he is so quick to throw under the bus. Just to make brownie points with the people that are going to have him starring in a snuff film about 20 minutes after the last U.S. chopper departs Kabul. What a piece of shit.
It’s a $5.7 billion estimate for bringing everything home, even if we leave stuff like refrigerators there.

Tell everyone to pack up, load up troops and every piece of equipment that can be taken along, then booby trap anythingyou can’t take along to blow up a quarter hour after the last plane leaves.
