Karzai expells SF from Wardak
Andy and Tman send a link to an article from Reuters which reports that Afghan President Karzai has ordered that US special forces leave Wardak Province in Afghanistan because some villagers complained about operations there;
The decision was reached at a Sunday meeting of the Afghan National Security Council, chaired by Karzai, Faizi said.
“The Ministry of Defense was assigned to make sure all U.S. special forces are out of the province within two weeks,” he said.
“After a thorough discussion, it became clear that armed individuals named as U.S. special forces stationed in Wardak province were engaging in harassing, annoying, torturing and even murdering innocent people,” Faizi added.
I hardly believe the charges, but screw them, I’d move all US troops right to the airfield and abandon the whole shithole to Karzai without spending another dime on defensive operations there. Karzai puts our troops in harm’s way by limiting air operations and now he wants to end operations in a province near Kabul. He’s bought and paid for his own demise, let him have it. What are we going to do? Send in Kerry to make things right?

Murtha isn’t dead. He’s living and working in Afghanistan under the name Farzi.
It looks like Karzai’s now kissing up to the same “Militias” that would overthrow and behead him the moment they could!!
with all this crap happening back to back on a daily basis,,
it makes the 60’s look like a pillow fight!
Isn’t the Karzai clan from Wardak?
Why would an executive known for his corruption want the eyes of accountability removed from his home territory?
Ok, that’s it. They think they have it under control, let em run it. Only mission left for US forces in the stan is a safe and orderly withdrawal back to the states. Anything else is just throwing good lives and money after bad.
Just as long as the goat humpers over there know that the next time they start shit with the US, the answer will be a mushroom cloud.
Time to blow all infrastructure that can not be removed from Asscrackistan and get the hell out with everything we can carry.
I’m sure they’d rather be in Columbia or Puerto Rico or panama instead anyway
[…] Must note Jonn’s take – it just fits. […]
@4 No his (sub)tribe is from down around Kandahar.
They will be crying when we all leave and will continue to cry when the Talib stage their coup to take the place back from the current corrupt government.
They want other people to finance and support them but then cry when that support happens in ways they dont like.
I’ve lost too many people I know in that craphole to give a damn about them or their self imposed suffering anymore. Screw them.
Karzai is the biggest terrorist in Afghanistan.
Wow. He wasn’t nearly that concerned when Kunar was getting rocketed from Pakistan on a daily basis causing the death and injury of hundreds of villagers. The begged him for help for weeks and had to form their own militia to start defending the area…
What Pete @3 said.
Don’t make any of those people stay longer than it takes to pack up, take off and blow the place up. And good riddance to bad rubbish, once we’re out of there.
GTFO now.
Our new Secretary of State (Kerry) must be chomping at the bit after hearing this; harassing, annoying, torturing and even murdering innocent people – to open a new investigation since the SF was probably acting like the hoards sent by Ginnngissss Khan.
Bring them ALL home…NOW!
What #16 and everyone else above said.
Get everyone and everything the f**k out NOW.
Karzai has merely come to grips with reality: the Future of Afghanistan is the grips of Islamists, most likely the Taliban. Karzai’s last hope was the 2012 US Elections, but bother are lame ducks now. The only thing he has left is to make peace/appeasement with the future rulers of Afghanistan: http://waronterrornews.typepad.com/ps/2013/02/afghanistan-relationship-destroyed-now-what.html
It’s Obama’s move: To begin another war of Regime Change, or abandon the Afghanistan and Pakistan areas to Islamists terrorists, which will overrun the area, and expand into the other “Stans” after 2014.
[…] Yesterday, I wrote about Afgan President Karzai’s contention that special forces troops had been misbehaving in Wardak Province in Afghanistan and that they had two weeks to withdraw from operations there. Not surprisingly, NATO has found no evidence of malfeasance on the part of troops there says the Associated Press. […]
